The biggest worry Xilo had about helping a city was the sheer amount of the cure they would need. The amount of people in a city compared to a town was a massive difference. "Especially with Tearia's current condition." She had been getting rest however it wasn't enough to keep up with the demand. Along with a couple attacks along the way, even they were feeling a bit tired. "It was nothing as bad as Zelfin but still." Small attacks had begun to stack, making their small group feel fatigue. Watching Kirel dance around the cart they were on, Xilo gave her a small pet as they rode up to the gate. Showing the Dracal Crest the guards hesitated for a second before letting them in.
"So this is Regaltix, the last place we have left right Xilo?"
Turning her head, Xelfia looked at Xilo for confirmation.
"Yeah, after this we'll be heading to meet up with Telan. It's a nice place but like everywhere else people have stopped coming outside as much it seems due to fear. Words and rumours don't spread fast sadly but hopefully this City isn't in too much danger. People have already died so much because of this and I'd really like it if we didn't have to see a City die."
"Easier said than done, just look at Tearia. She's hardly got anything left in her. I'm afraid she might break at this rate."
"I am as well bu-"
"I'm fine you two, don't worry about me."
All three of them turned to face Tearia who sat herself up.
""You should be resting!""
"...Rest..."
"You three are just over worrying. I know my limits and I'm fine. If I wasn't I would just stop. Simple as that."
Hearing her weakened voice, all of them had a hard time believing her, they didn't say anything else in the end though. Rubbing her eyes, Tearia woke herself up as she grabbed a hold of Xilo and Xelfia's hand. Staying still like that, Xilo enjoyed the feeling before he got down to find a guide. After a few minutes of searching around and asking the few stray people he could find he got his answer. He figured more people in this City would have been sick but there were a lot more people wandering around then he initially thought. "It seems they've put most sick people in the center area where the head Clan is." With that information he went back in his cart and grabbed Tearia's hand again.
With a lot less people around they had a pretty easy time talking to people. Xilo still remembered how much he struggled in Belturn, compared to then it was like a whole new him. "How long will it last though." Once people flooded the streets again it would change, he knew that. Taking in the environment Xilo tried to distract himself from his thoughts. Regaltix was quite similar to Belturn in architect design except for it's scale. Everything looked new and shiny, with sizes that passed trees even. From the guide in his hand this City was split into four major districts. Each one had a Clan leading them with the leader in the very center creating the fifth and final district. The more fancy things like entertainment were close to the center while labour and warehouses were focused on the outside of the circle.
"Merchant District on the bottom left, Entertainment top left, Alchemy top right, Residence bottom left and finally the one in the center is a mix of everything. Seems the Clan's that lead them are Felcix, The Moon Watchers, Snake's wraith, Deltix and finally the big one in charge is Soaring Blades. A Clan full of master swordsmen, sounds like an interesting place at least compared to the others."
The others had brief descriptions as well but Xilo didn't really care about them compared to Soaring Blades.
"Interested in learning the sword?"
Seeing Xilo show a little excitement as he talked about Soaring Blades Xelfia figured that was on his mind.
"Yeah, I do use one as a weapon and I'm not really good with it. It'd be cool to have a master teacher show me some things. Though maybe when the entire City isn't poisoned."
"yeahhhhhh, probably for the best."
"....Nnnn."
Agreeing with Xelfia, Relia looked at Xilo like he was an idiot. Sometimes she wondered if all he thought about was ways to get stronger. "Boys love being powerful, it seems like even he can't escape that." Rolling her eyes at Azalu's sarcasm. Relia went back to being silent. Ever since she and Xilo went for a small trip into the forest she had been thinking about things. The small gap she had created was getting closed once more but it would take a lot more time to shut it completely. She would figure it out eventually though and she was positive Xelfia wouldn't leave it be either. "Well, she's right, you know." "Shut it." "Hehe." Traveling down the roads for an hour they eventually got close to the center of the City as a sign appeared.
"looks...like we're...here."
Petting Kirel who had nestled herself in her lap she pointed at the sign she spotted.
*grrrreh*
"Alright, let's find a place to stop then we can head to the place they're keeping everyone and try to help this city."
Heading off to find an Inn nearby they quickly got settled in as they locked their cart away and everything else. Once that was done they all set out on foot for the Central District. After a little bit of walking they passed the sign they passed before as they stepped foot in the Central Area. Instantly they felt a wave of pressure wash over them before quickly leaving them alone. "What was that?" Unable to detect it anymore, Xilo was slightly curious but left it alone. instead he followed the map he had towards the Soaring Blades Clan.
Passing by multiple alleys as they walked streets, Xilo was a little surprised they didn't see anyone out on the streets sick like in previous towns.
"I wonder if they just want to look "fine" or not."
He had some questions in mind and they would soon be answered as a large area came into sight labeled the Soaring Blades.
