Keltal and Xilo

With no one participating in the events today Xilo debated if he wanted to look around or not. It sounded like a nice little break until he was reminded of Hazel and Laven's existence. With them around he decided it was best that they sayed around a lot of people. "Here we are now." Floating above the arena Xilo relaxed with everyone including Zilan's group as they watched the events happening. Currently it was a speed event testing how fast and long you could run as well as an Elemental strength event. He had asked Relia if she wanted to enter the Elemental one a bit ago but she just shook her head no. "Worth a shot." Astral energy flew into the air as people used all their strength to go for the win.

"Why didn't you join the speed one Xilo?"

Xelfia was a little curious as to why Xilo sat out of that one, he was a speed path after all.

"I thought about it for a bit honestly. I'd probably do quite well in it as well, just..I wasn't really feeling it. I like speed with reactions is probably the best way to explain why. The way they're doing this one is different from that."

"Fair, I just figured it'd be an easy first place for you."

"You have too much confidence in me."

Laughing off Xelfia's words he stared at the people running down below him. A part of him still wanted to join them down there, it seemed fun and like Xelfia said he'd probably do well. Spending time with the girls seemed nicer though. "Missing one event is fine." Telling himself that he talked with everyone a bit before remembering something. As Xilo went to the goto bed with the girls he was pulled away by Keltal in the hallway. He had wanted to talk to him this morning but he hadn't shown up quite yet. "Oh?" Looking to his side he saw a man floating towards them that he recognized. Waving at him, he let the man on their platform as the atmosphere became a bit weird.

"Hello Xilo and Hello Xelfia. It's been a long time since I've seen the two of you. I hope you're both doing well."

Bowing his head Keltal switched his vision between the two of them as he remembered the day they had left. They seemed a whole lot different now from then and that made him a bit happy secretly. He didn't let that show though as the tension in the air grew a bit. "Some new faces to." Looking at Tearia, Relia, Kirel and Zilan's group as well, Keltal was seriously surprised with how many people had grouped around Xilo. "I guess he had a few hidden talents that I suppressed." Walking forward he pulled up a chair and sat on the other side of XIlo that happened to be empty today. All of them sat in silence as Xilo and Keltal watched the racers go to the next lap. Zilan thought about speaking up but the air around those two made him keep his mouth shut, it also helped that Marie didn't stop garing at him.

He was never good at reading the mood on his own so with her help he stayed quiet.

"Some impressive young people down there...quite a fast bunch, even more impressive than last years."

Calmly making an observation, Keltal was the first to speak up.

"Yeah..they are, though your students you brought this time are surprisingly good as well. Just look at that girl down there, she's fighting for first right now."

Pointing at the girl with the Fiery Clan symbol on her back Xilo wondered where this conversation was going.

"Haha, yes she is, Grace is the fastest in our Clan, don't you remember her?"

"No."

Awkwardness filled the air as Keltal's eyes never left Grace's back.

"I see, I guess it makes sense you forgot about her. She never really paid much attention to you unless it was to insult you. Most people probably want to forget that."

"....."

"So Xilo...I want to ask you something. You've been gone for almost a year now, Have you had a run in with her yet?"

"Her?"

Confused about what Keltal was saying, Xilo tried to search through his brain to understand what he was talking about. Nothing really jumped at him though at first, until a memory of a silver haired girl appeared in his mind. Fighting against her Xilo had felt hopeless. "Althea." That girl was a constant threat looming over his back ready to tear him open at any moment. "Surely he doesn't mean her though right?" He laughed that off hoping he was but a part of him felt like he was right. Peaking at Keltal he was still staring at the competition down below, giving up Xilo threw out the name at random.

"You mean Althea?"

He really hoped he wouldn't get any response from Keltal.

"So you have then, I'm surprised you're still standing here today. WIth her personality you should have been across the world by now. I wonder what stopped her?"

Thinking to himself mostly he felt Xilo get angry beside him.

"Do you know who she is? If so, tell me everything about her, I need to know."

"I can't do that, Just like you I'm on my own leash. I can tell you though that if you think she'll ever give up then you're wrong. She also got her hands on a girl named Yilel though I don't know if that name means anything to you anymore and speaking of names Zelfin is also missing as well. Two people who used to be very close to you in the past. If I had to guess Althea is using Yilel as a hostage of sorts, Zelfin though is probably out looking for something, maybe you but most likely her."

"...I already met Zelfin. He tried to kill me because of a girl named Yilel that I have no memory of. You seem to know quite a bit though."

"Of course I do, I watched over you kids all the time back in the Fiery Clan, that was my job, especially you. Since you've met Althea now you might understand a bit more now why I can't say much. She brought you there after all."

"....Tell me all you can."
