Void Of Voices and Plans For Battle

Xilo's group met up with Zilan's group as they headed to the arena with the hordes of people. Today every seat in the place was full as excitement floated through the air. This was the day everyone was waiting for and no one was scared to show that. Everyone loved a good fight and now thousands would be happening at once. The schedule today would be two small events to start everyone off then from the afternoon until the evening it would be one last all out brawl. It wasn't just normal one on ones, instead it would be everyone for themselves until the last man standing. "If Laven wants to do anything it'll be today." Xilo and Zilan had already agreed to team up with each other until the end, he was sure plenty of others would be doing the same.

"Team vs team. this'll be interesting."

"I think our teamwork is pretty good and most fights are usually done with help. Most likely they don't want to judge someone's solo skills. Those are useless in Clans a lot of the time so they want to see how everyone reacts to and handles this situation."

Most people in this world always worked together when fighting, especially in Astral Zones. Xilo himself was also included in that lot, there were quite a few times he would have died without Xelfia beside him or Tearia. Along with adaptability everyone here was looking for good potential Clan members. If someone didn't like to play nice with others then they would be instantly discarded from such offers unless they were strong enough to back it up. Very few could do that though, In fact Xilo really only thought Zilan and Xelfia could do that from the people he knew. If there were others he would find out once they were all let loose.

"Yup Xilo's right Xelfia, this is a lot more than just who can punch stronger."

Joining in from the side, ZIlan talked about some of the benefits of team skills as they all took a seat down in their reserved platform. Letting it hover in the sky they all talked about their strategy as the event went on down below. Besides the Queen's introduction no one really paid too much attention to it as impatience grew. "I should probably warn them." As they talked Xilo brought up Laven and the others group to Xilo as a warning. Hearing Xilo's worry, Zilan just shook his head and waved it off. He never would have stepped up to help in the first place if he was really scared of them and he still had a debt to settle as well. "He killed so many innocent weak people." Remembering those bodies he saw back in the Astral Zone he felt his emotions getting to him.

"Sorry we put you in Laven's sights as well.

"Please, don't worry about it. I don't like them just as much as they don't like us. I'll gladly punch them in the face given the option, none of us here are cowards and we'll fight as a team, as equals. Now quit saying sorry and plan more with me. I'm not much of a thinker like you are so I'll need your help."

Faced with Zilan's raw positivity, Xilo could only give up as they talked with each other. "He's a real leader." Looking at the twins behind his back and Marie who were all smiling at ZIlan, Xilo felt inferior. That kind of energy was something he lacked a lot. The more he talked with Zilan, the more he looked up to him as a person. Staring down at the tiny icicles in his wrist Xilo took a deep breath as he refocused. "I'm just me and that's okay." Getting back on track they talked more as the event continued.

In the front as their main defense they would have Xelfia, Sarin and Darain keeping everyone safe the best they could. With Sarins Earth energy and Darin's Nature energy they were very strong front walls. Xelfia was also there with her own Nature to help out where she could along with her tough body. Relia and Marie would stay in the back supporting everyone the best they could with Wind energy and other Elemental spells from Relia. They both had good ranged damage so that was best for them. Relia had thought about sitting out but when she realized she was going to be alone in that case, she joined even if her body was in pain. "I can do something." Tearia would also be in the back protecting those two from anyone who tried to flank them with her Lightning Energy.

"Finally that leaves me and you Xilo. We'll be flexible attackers since our main strength comes from attacking. In that sense I guess we're similar, only knowing how to attack."

Making fun of himself as well as Xilo they laughed as they sorted everything out together. Everyone knew their job and was okay with what they would be doing. With this formation they should easily be able to last a while. With the small events coming to an end they all got quiet as they waited for the announcement. Relia held on to her head as she tried her best to think about how to help and deal with the pain as a familiar voice spoke to her. "Hey Relia..you there?" "Azalu!?!? Where have you been!?" Finally hearing Azalu's voice after this time, excitement got the best of Relia. She was worried she had disappeared or had fallen into a heavy sleep. With her here now she felt some of her worry ease up. Azalu was definitely a large anchor for Relia's sanity.

"I've been dealing with some troubles." In the space inside Relia's mind Azalu watched as the void of darkness lashed out with all its power. Her earlier actions seemed to have pissed it off quite a bit as it tried to attack her. "Looks like things have to be sped up now." If she didn't act soon her chance would be gone forever and so would Relia's. She just wanted to talk a bit with Relia before that happened though she didn't really know why. "What kind of trouble?" "The voices you've been hearing...I've been trying to hold them back." Doing her best to explain what she was doing she kept talking as Relia calmly listened. "It's been way too hard though, they keep getting stronger and I'm running out of energy." Hearing that Relia couldn't stop herself from asking how to help. "Then what can we do to stop them?" "Find a powerful enough Astral Fire Crystal or somehow get really strong in the next few days." Pausing at that, Relia took time to think.

"What if I can't?" "....." Azalu didn't know what to say in response to her friend. There was only one real answer and she didn't want to say it. "I die I guess?" "...Yes." Not knowing how to respond to that, Relia looked up at her new friends as well. Xilo, Xelfia, Tearia, Kirel and even Zilan's group. "What else though?" Swearing in her head Azalu really wished Relia wasn't so smart. "They'll take over and destroy the both of us and everyone here." Closing her eyes Relia let that all sink in for a moment. "I see..." Trying to ask another question to Azalu she was given no response as Azalu made up her mind once and for all. The only thing Relia received in return to her questions was one very quiet, lonely reply.

"I'm sorry."

Like that Azalu's voice faded from Relia's mind, before anything else the Queen's voice echoed across the arena as the true event started finally.
