With that in mind Xilo did his best to control his energy levels well giving everyone a reminder. If Laven's strategy was to get them tired then they would be screwed. Fighting back against people already stronger than them while weak would be impossible and no one would come to help them. "How do we get out of this?" Trying his best to think of a way out of this their group started fighting once again. "Maybe we should hide?" The terrain around them had a few places to hide for a little bit which could work. The only problem was that they had to do it while staying out of Laven's view. Xilo didn't know where he was right now, he only knew Laven had some kind of Sight line on them.
Xelfia and the others knocked a person down one at a time as they faced all thirty people at once. These people didn't try to use any fancy tactics or the likes, instead they rushed as fast as possible with everyone. It seems they had seen what happened to the last group and learned from their mistakes. Four people jumped at Xilo before he could attack anyone. Forced to take a step back Ice travelled beneath his feet. They were trying to slip him up but he had practice with this. Using it to his advantage he created more ice and made one giant Ice Field around himself.
"That should help."
Watching a couple of them slip suddenly and fall to the ground, Xilo rushed towards the ones still standing. Sweeping his leg under them he tripped them all, letting them fall to the ground before knocking them out as quickly as possible. He didn't have time to delay if he wanted to help everyone else out. "Maybe giving up is the safest option." That thought flashed through his mind as he saw everyone else doing their best to defend themselves. If they did that they might be able to fight Laven in a better condition. "...I don't know." It wasn't something he could decide for himself, he would have to ask the others input as well. Wiping out all thirty people attacking them, Xilo felt his breathing turning heavy as well.
"That bastard....He's just going to sit back and pay others to do the dirty work for him. He wants us to suffer."
Swearing, Zilan could feel his hate for Laven growing stronger as he looked around for any signs of him. He didn't see him though, leaving him even more frustrated. "It seems like we have a minute though." No one else was approaching them right away after they had defeated those thirty people and no other lurking groups approached. Zilan was positive that Vultures would jump them even without Laven's incentive if they saw the right opportunity. Taking a few deep breath's Zilan and Xilo checked on everyone in this brief moment they had. Once they made sure everyone was okay Xilo spoke up about an idea he had.
"We can't keep fighting these groups forever, eventually we will lose. There's a ton of people here that Laven could just bend to his will. I think if we want to keep going our best bet may be to try hiding for a bit. Once all the weak people are finally wiped out we might have a better chance to fight back. Plus it'll give us time to rest and regain some of our energy. What do you all think?"
Hearing Xilo's idea, Zilan wasn't against it, there was just one problem.
"I'm fine with that but where are we going to hide? There aren't many places to go before he'll find us and surely He'll see where we go."
"I know that...I've got an idea though. It's a little risky however it might work."
Pausing for a second, Zilan thought about it before he made up his mind.
"Alright then, I'm trusting you."
Feeling the grassy terrain beneath his feet Xilo looked around for a spot that was somewhat out of vision. As long as it could hide them for a bit then it was good enough. Scouting for a good group of trees or a tall mountain Xilo saw a patch of trees that was a bit denser than the others. "That should work." Pointing in the direction of the trees, his group all started running to it. Watching from afar Laven scratched his head wondering what was up. "What are they trying to do?" Even if they hid he knew exactly where they were at all times thanks to his scouts and his Wolf's Eye. Their Astral Energy was easy for him to spot even from the opposite side of the arena.
"No matter, I'll just send more to where they're going. Once they're a bit more weakened we'll pay them a visit. Sounds good to you Hazel?"
"Yes, just hurry it up. I'm getting impatient here, I just want to rip that girl to shreds."
Biting her lip Hazel could feel her body itching to release the anger that was building up. She already held back long enough and now it was time to release it. "They will pay." Belturn's Leader had already arrived as well and was waiting to get his hands on Relia again. There was no escaping for them anymore, this was the end. Laven gathered up more people while throwing away money like it was nothing. Once he had convinced them all he pointed at the batch of Trees that Xilo's group had gone inside and told them to go there. Watching them all head over there Laven smiled as he got closer to his goal. "I'll kill that demon." Memories of his hometown kept flying back to him as he remembered the darkness inside Xilo's body.
"You won't kill anyone, not again. I refuse to let that happen."
He was no longer the weakling he was once before, now he had power. He could finally start to hunt and kill the creatures known as Demons. "One day I'll find that bladed demon again." His lifelong goal was to find the one that slaughtered his hometown. He had no idea where it was or how strong it was but that was okay. "Starting with you...Xilo." The group he sent in entered the trees as Laven paid a bit more attention. When he looked it over though he failed to see any energy leaking from their bodies. He only saw the energy coming off the people he had sent in there. "What the?" Confused as to how they disappeared suddenly Laven stomped his foot as he remembered something.
"I forgot, it has that damn ability."
