Searching through the forest that they had disappeared in, Laven couldn't find any signs of them. "They really did disappear." Stretching his body he had people constantly circle the area looking for any kind of movement while everyone else was still fighting. No one dared to try and approach their large group so they were left to do whatever they wanted. Laven was a bit worried about how much time they had left though. The fewer people left raised the chances of Xilo's group getting eliminated. If that were to happen they'd have to find another way to kill them. "Hazel also won't be happy." He had already dealt with enough headaches from her, he didn't need more. She really didn't like listening to people and that was probably her biggest downside.
"Hurry it up people!"
Barking an order out, Laven focused power into his eye as he looked around. Maybe if he strengthened it he could find them stealthed somewhere. Energy fluctuations and information shot straight at him at once overwhelming him a bit. "Whoa." Taking a few seconds to adjust, he looked back at all the energy. The world around him had lost a lot of it's normal structure as it got replaced by energy. Bodies were replaced by the person's element and the ground turned into a solid brown and green sea of Astral Energy. Even with all this information though he didn't find anything helpful. "Figures." Cutting off it's extra power he let it go back to normal.
Spending the next twenty minutes looking around they found zero results as Xilo's group lurked in the darkness. They had already created their plan, now they were just waiting for the right time to attack. "He needs to let his guard down and be near a small group of people." They had been watching the forest for a bit now and had seen around sixty people scouring the place. Fighting against all those people at once was crazy, if they got him a bit more alone though it might be doable. "Time is running out." He could feel himself getting more tired with each ticking minute. In this fight he had already warned everyone he'd be weaker than normal. So it was up to them to fight, he was just going to act tough and hope they didn't catch on.
"He's walking away now...let's see where he goes."
Laven was their primary target in this fight. Hazel and a few others were secondary targets since they were a lot easier to deal with. Watching Laven walk away from the crowd of people he was talking to, he walked around the forest a bit and behind a corner. Following him, they quietly traced his steps as they watched what he was up to. "What's he doing." There were still quite a few people here but it was a lot lower than on the other side. Laven was currently crouching down by a tree and touching the ground feeling for something. None of them saw what he was trying to grab but this was the perfect opportunity for them. If they wanted to get rid of him it was now. Rushing over Xilo took out a dagger filled with Darkness and stood behind Laven.
Crouched behind Laven, Xilo stared at his back as he raised his hand holding the Ice Dagger into the air. "Even this should hurt you." If Laven was kept alive he'd be a lot of trouble in the future. Sweeping some hair out of his face, Laven tucked away his black bangs while staring at the ground. "Some leftover energy." He managed to find a small clue about where they had gone off to. "Maybe we should check over there." Turning to his side a bit he saw a mountain a little ways away. "Demon..." Memories of his past kept coming back to him the closer he got to this demon. It was a terrible time that he could never forget no matter how much he wanted to or tried. Their screams and cries of pain were etched into his brain for life.
"A monster...a damn monster...Just a demon playing pretend in a human's skin. All they do is take from us and cause destruction wherever they go...Just like they took my mother's life, my fathers life and my sister's life....I'll never get them back. I can't let another demon do the same to someone else."
His voice leaked out into the ground beneath him as loneliness filled his heart. Even with his Master taking him in, he could never fill that void. He became friends with no one and talked with no one. He was too afraid to get close to anyone. He had forgotten how to, all he knew how to do now was scheme and use people for his own benefit. He just wanted to help others in the end to make sure no one had to go through what he did as a child. He didn't want to see another kid grow up like that and if hunting demon's is what it took he was willing to do it. Freezing at Laven's words, Xilo felt his hand flinch as he looked at Laven's back. "...No..no." Pain filled his head as he accidently tripped backwards and lost the protection of his darkness.
"Who's there!?!?!"
Whipping around at such a sudden presence Laven was on full alert as he stared at the silver haired figure that was previously behind him.
"It's you!"
Rage seethed into his voice as he growled that out. He didn't expect to see Xilo behind him so suddenly but he didn't care. Taking out his weapon as fast as he could he brought out a long spear and thrusted straight at Xilo's heart. "Die!" Shouting that in his head he went straight for the quickest kill. Seeing a spear coming straight for him Xilo panicked as he tried to get out of the way as quickly as possible. Letting his body fall to the ground he saw the spear go right past his face, missing him by only a bit as he smacked into the ground. Grunting once he hit the ground, he tried to back away from Laven as his friends all rushed over to help him.
"We're coming!!"
They all started shouting at Xilo as a big commotion was caused, alerting everyone. Looking up at Xilo's friends, Laven smiled as he saw everyone he was looking for coming straight for him. "If you're all so eager to die, so be it." Energy surged into his body as he thrusted at Xilo once more. If he could kill Xilo before they arrived to help the rest of them would be easy to finish off. His spear reached Xilo's body in seconds however Sarin was quicker. Earth surrounded Xilo's body like a protective barrier completely stopping all of Laven's movement. Next came tons of Vines as Darin wrapped his energy around the spear stopping it in its place.
"So everyone is here now then."
Ignoring his current position Laven laughed.
