Letting Aeon's body fall to the floor Katrin took a couple of deep breaths to help calm herself down. Once she was sure she had a grip on herself she checked on Aeon to make sure he wasn't still exploding. "Looks like that managed to stop it." She felt her body relax a little bit after confirming that. Crouching down she picked him up and moved his body off to the side that was out of harm's way. Doing a quick search around the castle she attempted to see if any more annoyances were going to interrupt her. She didn't find anyone else that could be a problem besides some people that already worked for her. "He was the last.." Gliding her fingers across his chest Katrin picked herself up and glanced at the strange energy forming in the room.
"....So the boy really is one of them."
She had noticed it during the competition very faintly but after Felli told her to let him go she had dropped any further thoughts on it. "Why'd she try to save them?" Ignoring that lingering question she debated whether or not to let Felli's words sway her decision this time. "Do I let them live...or?" Thinking it over Katrin summoned multiple light beams in the air that hovered over each person in the room. Holding the light there for a moment Katrin called out to her Daughter who had stopped fighting. After thinking about it and with the little scare she just had she figured it would be best to give her Daughter thoughts some consideration. "They're not strong enough to be a problem either." Even knowing the boy had some demonic energy in him she still didn't care.
"Felli, do you still want to spare your pals or have you changed your mind."
Breaking free from her stupor after hearing her Mother's words Felli stumbled for a second. Her heart was still aching watching the man called Aeon lose his fight. She had no idea why his defeat caused her so much pain, she didn't even know him at all. "Yet..." Gripping her chest for a moment she thought about her words as she turned to Xilo. Looking at his body covered in blood as a few blades were retracting, Felli glanced at Tearia and Marie. "It seems they know as well." From the knife at his throat to the worry in Tearia's eyes it looked like Xilo didn't hide his power. "Is that really enough for me though?" A part of her knew it wasn't but that was alright to her. Dropping her sword down to the ground, Felli stopped fighting Xelfia.
"I have changed my mind Mother, it took me a lot longer than it should have....however I think I've finally started to figure out what I want to do. Life has always been hard, figuring out choices and finding the meaning behind them. It was all so annoying."
Stabbing her sword into the ground Felli stared directly at her Mother, gathering up all the courage she could find inside her small body she confronted the only person in her life she relied on.
"At some point I gave up, left everything to someone else. No more though, Mother....I'm sorry. It's time things change, for the both of us. We're different people with different wants. It's time for me to be selfish."
Lifting her sword out of the ground Felli raised it, pointing straight at her Mother. Glancing at Xilo she signaled him with her eyes answering his question. Watching each of her actions and hearing her words Xilo felt himself smile as he wobbled backwards. He was incredibly tired after all of that, thankfully Tearia was there to catch him before he fell. Feeling Tearia's soft skin touch his back he looked up at Marie as she put her knife away. He didn't say a word as he waved at Xelfia to try and tell her he was fine. Standing back up with Tearia's help, Xilo peered at the Queen as he got his bearings on everything. With them being the only people still able to move, everyone faced the real threat now that Felli seemed to be on their side.
"Well said Felli."
Slight embarrassment crossed her face as she heard Xilo's praise.
"It's not a big deal...whatever, let's just do this all together now."
"Couldn't ask for anymore, it's good to have you back to your old self."
"Shut it."
Listening to their exchange Katrin didn't say a word as she watched her Daughter get ready to fight her. "Both of them now..." First it was Aeon and now it was Felli, it seemed like everyone was against her. "No matter." Shaking her head she tried to get rid of the horrible feeling prickling in her chest. Taking the light beams she was holding onto she released her control on them as she sent them flying towards everyone in the room. Watching people die Xilo quickly turned to the twins and told them to protect everyone while the rest of them went straight for the Queen. The Twins quickly started to protect everyone they could. Unfortunately they couldn't protect everyone, some were just too far away or they were too slow. Wincing watching each death they failed to prevent, they made sure to strengthen their defences on the ones they could.
"Good luck everyone."
Being the first to approach her Mother, Felli created balls of unstable space energy and sent them straight for her. When they got close they caused mini explosions with her command before anyone else got close to them. Brushing off her Daughter's attacks, she was impressed with her improvements. Seeing the red haired woman come closer from before along with the red headed boy Katrin put up her defences. Taking both of their attacks at once a screen of light appeared in front of her before exploding into pieces, pushing them back. Right after that Wind and electricity came straight at her giving her zero breaks. Forced to jump to the side to avoid their attacks she was met with a sword coming straight for her that she didn't sense before.
"...They work surprisingly well together."
