Returning To Life

Relia tried to stop her hand from shaking as she listened to Azalu. This was something she already knew would happen one day ever since she had first talked to Azalu. To have it happen so soon was what caught her off guard, doing her best to think straight, Relia stopped moving. " I thought I had more time..." "It wasn't something either of us could predict." Trying to find her next words Relia struggled to get anything out. "If I die, what happens to you?" Waiting a moment for Azalu to speak she didn't hear any reply from her. "A better question then, is there any way I can stop this?" Relia already knew the way to stop it from Azalu but if there was some other way maybe she could stop it.

She didn't want either of them to disappear from this world, that was the only thought holding Relia's mind together. Thousands of voices were shouting inside of her, screaming to be let out. Even with all of her previous experience with those voices it was still terrifying to have them fighting for control of her own body. Something that should have been her's from the very beginning was being fought for like a prize and she had almost no idea why. "Please..there has to be a way Azalu." "Silly girl..." Azalu felt her will waver for a split second as she heard Relia's plea for help before setting her mind straight. This was something she had caused and that meant she would go through with it. There was no point second guessing anymore, this was both their fates.

A bit of energy leaked out of Relia's body as a misty figure appeared in front of Relia's eyes. While blurry, there were faint signs of a woman in front of her. Feeling a hand touch her skin Relia looked up at the figure with confusion in her eyes. "Azalu?" She didn't quite know for sure, it just felt very similar to the image of Azalu she had in her head. Tilting her head she felt her life leaking out of her body, returning to the world as the voices became even stronger. Clouding her thoughts as much as they could in response to Azalu they struggled to fight against their own fate as well. In this three way battle there would be only one winner in the end.

"Relia...there is one other way that might save us and even help your friends in the process."

"What is it, how?"

A little bit of hope leaked into Relia's voice while Azalu stroked her cheek.

"Are you prepared to give up everything for it?"

"If it could save everyone...I'd do anything."

Hearing Relia's blind acceptance that Azalu felt a bit guilty, she continued.

"Even if it means you'll no longer be yourself anymore, are you absolutely sure?"

".....A part of me....wants to say no Azalu...I've lived for so long learning not to be afraid...to accept all pain that comes my way....that I deserve it. That was the way my life has just been...the more I think about it though the more scared I am of dying. I don't want to lose this chance I've finally been given. Tearia, Xilo, those two have done so much for me.... Like give me a home where I felt like I belonged….. Something I thought I lost forever ago...but..but..."

Tears travelled down Relia's cheeks as she broke down completely. No matter how much she tried to tell herself everything would be alright and that she wasn't scared, it never worked. "I just want normal." That was her one wish throughout her entire life, she wanted her parents back, her friends to be safe and this world to stop hating her. Along with her own thoughts her vision started to blur thanks to all the tears. Looking up at Azalu she thought about her decision hard as she saw Azalu's figure clear up a little bit. Blinking, in surprise she thought she saw an older blonde woman standing over her like a mother comforting their child. It quickly disappeared though as Relia finally made her decision.

"But..If it means everyone's safe then It doesn't matter what happens to me."

"You really have never changed, always one to care about others over yourself. Very well then Relia. I'll do my best to help everyone with your permission. After that though we'll be leaving for a long time. I just need you to let me take control once more, after that you'll never have to worry again."

Relia's vision was slowly turning black the more time went on as Azalu talked, she could feel herself reaching the limit of her life as she quietly mouthed out a few words before finally passing out. The voices inside of her head erupted in anger as a devilish smile crossed Azalu's face. "I've won this time." Enjoying the taste of victory Azalu's energy disappeared back inside of Azalu. Taking control of the girl's body she locked Relia's soul away as she devoured every single soul that was also living inside. It was time for her to once again properly walk across this earth. "I'll find that bastard who betrayed me..." Remembering memories from her first life Azalu healed her new body.

Stopping her attacks the Queen felt a new presence arrive as she instantly turned around to face it. Eyeing the girl on the ground for a moment she watched as her body erupted in flames. "What?" Pure red flames roared to life as the girl who she thought had crippled stood back up like nothing had happened. "No, the flames are healing her." Watching her wounds slowly disappear the Queen's eyes wavered for a second as she watched the flames burn brighter. She had never heard of such a power but the strength coming off this girl was more concerning. Putting her full guard up Katrin condensed Light Energy in her palm and aimed it at the twin tailed girl.

"Who are you!?"

Lazily stretching out her new body Azalu looked at the Queen with a bit of scorn. Cracking her neck Azalu controlled the flames around her body as she healed all of her wounds, she kept the scars that Relia had earned though for some reason. "They're all gone, I won this time." Nearly bursting out with laughter, Azalu completely ignored the Queen as she rejoiced in her victory. This was the moment she had been waiting for ever since she had died thousands of years ago. The day that she would come back to life and rule this world once more. "it's been so long...time to test out what I can do." Flames levitated around her body as they changed colour slightly before engulfing her and transforming her body.

"No one worth remembering."
