Thousands of people watched as the giant bird in the sky flew away off into the distance until it eventually disappeared while completely missing the figure falling through the air. Reaching her arms out Katrin could feel her body plummeting to the ground. Air constantly left her lungs giving her no way to even breathe as she tried to use any of her Astral Energy. "It's not working!" Whenever she tried to use it, a molten hot flame burned her stomach and melted any of the energy she produced instantly. "Is this the end for me?" She could barely process what just happened to her and now she was going to die. "Quite fitting I suppose." Closing her eyes she stopped struggling as she accepted her fate.
Now that she couldn't use any Astral Energy it was pointless to try and fight against fate. She was just a normal human until she could remove the fire in her stomach. "She won't be happy.." She knew her own Mother would be furious with these results but she didn't care anymore. "That bird..talked about the zones..how the people were wrong." Those words rooted themselves in her mind as she approached the ground at a rapid rate. "Who's Dusk?" Reaching the castle the Queen prepared for the pain as she smacked right into the ground. Expecting to explode into a thousand pieces as her bones shattered entirely the Queen flinched. That pain never came though leaving her confused.
"Am I dead then?"
Those words barely leaked out of her mouth as she opened her eyes. Blinking a few times she looked up and was met with a familiar face smiling down at her. "Aeon...." A bit shocked that he was still able to move she felt him fall a second later as she hit the ground. Feeling his arms leave her body she looked around the room at all the chaos she had caused with a tinge of regret. Once more she tried to create energy so she could see if she could do anything. The fire just ate it instantly, stopping any of that hope she had. "It's gone." Turning to her daughter who was nearby Katrin's body flinched. For the first time in her life the people she loved and cared about were together in the same room without even knowing they were family.
"I..."
Dragging herself forward, Xelfia felt a lot of mixed emotions as she grabbed the Queen by the neck and pulled her to her feet before she could say anything. Tearia walked over, as well as everyone with Xilo being the last. His mind was spacing out as he arrived by his friend's side barely awake. "What just happened?" He knew the Queen was a big priority but a part of him felt like crying out for Relia. She was gone now and he didn't know what to do with that information. "That flaming bird was her right?" He had seen her transform and fly off after leaving them behind. "No....That was Azalu." That manner of speech and the way she carried herself was not the Relia he knew and cared about. "How though?" Feeling lost he let the others talk for him, right now he needed a moment.
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't crush your throat right now. What the hell just happened and where did our friend fly off to?"
Tightening her grip on the Queen's neck Xelfia had zero patience for the woman. She wanted to rip her into pieces and go after Relia, she could see the pain Tearia and Xilo were going through and she wanted it to stop. "Relia..." The only thing stopping her from murdering the Queen was Felli who was standing off to the side. So many different emotions were all converging in one place that no one knew how to act or even speak. None of them were thinking straight, in this one giant mess. It wasn't until a soft older voice spoke up that some of the tension broke only to be ignited once more. With all the power he had Aeon pleaded with Xelfia.
"Xelfia, can you put her down please. From the looks of it she has lost any will she had to fight."
"Shut it Aeon, if you really think I'll put this bitch down then you're insane. You know just as well as anyone here what she did, she doesn't deserve any mercy regardless of her "will to fight." She nearly destroyed an entire city, killed so many innocent people and almost all of us as well and for what? Some stupid Astral Zone that we know nothing about. That's absolutely ridiculous."
Gnashing her teeth together Xelfia tried to hide her frustration as she looked at some of the bodies scattered across the room. She wasn't going to pretend to care about them because she didn't. The thought that it could have been them is what made her angry and the reinforcement of how awful humans could be as well kept her rage. They only made it out of this alive with pure luck and the potential loss of a good friend, without her they would be the bodies that littered the ground now. Veins sprung up on her hand as she gripped the Queen's neck even tighter than before and she wasn't stopping this time. Until she felt another hand grab hers that startled her. Looking over at Felli, Xelfia froze.
"Please, Xelfia, can you put her down for me?"
For a moment Xelfia kept going before stoppnig.
"...Whatever."
"Thank you."
Releasing her grip she let the Queen drop to the floor once more. Choking on air Katrin tried her best to get air into her lunges as she looked at all the angry faces surrounding her. Feeling two conflicting feelings she swapped back and forth between Aeon and Felli. She had some words she wanted to say but she chose to stay silent. Nothing she said in this kind of situation would change. "This is why I hate emotions." Emotions in the end would always rule over logic and she hated that. It was why she did her best in life to let logic take control, why she chose to be "emotionless." "Maybe I was just running away from them though..." That quiet thought popped up into her mind and floated around as Xilo took charge.
"Everyone, let's take a deep breath. A lot has just happened and we need a moment to calm down. From the looks of it she can't use any more of her power. So no need to be wary of her, after we all calm down a little bit we can talk and sort things out. No matter how long that takes, it doesn't matter."
Doing his best to calm everyone down Xilo sat on the ground as he took a breather himself, after all that he badly needed a break as well.
