Aiming an attack at the man who was defending them constantly Delfex threw it at Felli. If he used her as bait then taking him out should be easy. Dashing forward Delfex grabbed at Felli's neck as his palms ignited with fire. Moving into position Vandor went to block Delfex's attack. He couldn't show any mistakes this time, not after almost making a huge one that he couldn't take back. Getting in front of Felli, Vandor raised his arm to block Delfex's attack. "No one gets hurt." He would take the brunt of the damage in this battle, that was his goal.
Increasing his defence Vandor made sure Felli was safe as Delfex made a strange movement. Aiming for Felli's bare neck, Delfex made his attack extremely obvious. Once Vandor came into vision he moved his arm down, aiming straight for his defence. Making contact, Delfex set Vandor's body on fire while kicking his leg. Knocking him off balance Delfex pushed him back sending Vandor's body flying to the other side of the street. Watching Vandor cross his vision Xilo shouted his name as more ice left his body. A wall of ice temporarily blocked Delfex's movement before being smashed to pieces. "Tch." Xilo realised he couldn't do much in this kind of situation.
"We need Vandor."
Without him this battle would take a sour turn really fast. "I don't want to use that yet, he's not even weakened." An Ice Field covered the battlefield, gliding across it Xilo grabbed Felli and Tearia. Pulling them back he made sure to create a lot of distance between them quickly. More fire started to spread around the street, raising the temperature. Xilo's ice melted faster than he could create it but at least he was able to drag everyone away. Slamming into a street post Vandor bent it back and felt metal dig into his back. "Argh." Releasing a groan he stood himself up, that wasn't something he was expecting at all.
"So he was aiming for me, I guess I should have expected that."
Taking the metal out of his back Vandor ignored the pain as he rushed back. Flames lit up the night as people started to wake up in the city. They were far from being subtle about any of this and if it continued for too long unexpected people could get involved. With only a street left until they made it to their goal Xilo felt his body going into overtime. They were so close, they just had to make it a little further. Dodging each attack from Delfex that they could, Xilo purposefully took attacks that were weaker. "Come on." Feeling Vandor's presence again, Xilo felt a bit of relief as they travelled down the last street.
Tearia kept a check on all of the extra people fighting them. For each one she sent a lightning rod straight at them while they fought. Piercing a couple she managed to knock a couple of them out however the more tenacious ones fought back. A comforting shock travelled along her arm as she took aim at another person. Raising her arm she threw it straight at his shoulder while he was busy attacking Xilo and the others. Soaring through the air it pierced straight through the man's skin and stuck into his body, completely interrupting his attack. Another bolt followed closely behind it and hit his other shoulder causing him to fall back onto the ground.
"Another one dealt with."
Despite so many Tearia was doing a good job of keeping them locked down and out of the fight as much as possible. Taking aim at another Tearia felt a few presences enter her senses. "We're almost there." Just a bit longer than they would be there. Vandor went back to blocking any attack he could from Delfex, this time though he was much more aware that Delfex was aiming for him. "Not this time." Blocking another sneaky attempt at killing him, Vandor used more energy as he watched his entire body move, not letting a single movement escape him. Blocking Delfex's flames, Vandor also backed up right afterwards in case there was another attack he missed.
Feeling multiple presences enter his senses Xilo knew they were almost there. "I hope you're ready everyone." Dragging Delfex back more they entered an alley that led to a complete dead end. Waiting there were six different explosives ready to explode. A bit confused by their actions Delfex tried to think what they were doing when he noticed something. "Are they trying to lead me there?" That wouldn't make any sense though since this place didn't have any exits. "They can't just fly out of here." A little stumped, Delfex raised his guard as he pushed them back. He felt a bit off, he just didn't know how to put it into words.
Multiple people hidden by darkness saw Delfex entering right behind their leader. Calming their nerves and timing everything was too important for any mistakes. Energy surrounded a barrier as they waited for their Leader's signal. The wait was almost agonising but this was their job. With Delfex almost in their trap Xilo felt his nerves rising, this was their biggest opportunity to take him down. "No one else has showed up either." Xilo found that a bit strange but he didn't question it too much. There was a good chance they were either still lurking in the shadows or he was just over estimating Delfex.
With his back against the wall Xilo and the others finally had nowhere left to run from Delfex. Standing their ground they pretended to get ready for a fight as Delfex's group got more aggressive. The only one who didn't was Delfex who seemed to get more passive. "He's onto something." Taking note of that Xilo stopped stalling for him time before anything out of plan happens. In an instant the whole air changed as barriers disappeared igniting the air. Astral Energy went berserk around them and the sounds of sizzling came. Feeling such strong sudden energy Delfex felt his heart drop to his stomach.
"So you had an ambush planned all along."
Before he could say much more than that the ringing of explosions entered his ear. Sounds of screaming were drowned out as each explosive went off after another completely destroying the area they stood in. Delfex did his best to protect himself but it was stronger than he anticipated. One man fell after another until eventually his barrier cracked. His hair stood on end as it was burnt off while one explosion pushed him around. Standing there Xilo took out his extra explosive he had and ignited it himself. Tossing it directly as Delfex this was the one he planned to use to really make sure Delfex was defeated. If it didn't work then he would be forced to do something else while he was weakened.
"This is hopefully enough."
