During her time of not wanting to live she didn't bother taking her own life. That wouldn't have solved her problems in the slightest. She would have just come back once more and repeated her endless cycle of life. Instead of just wallowing in her own pain she explored the world looking for anything that could help her. She talked to thousands of people, read hundreds of books. If it even had the tiniest potential to help her then she did it. Throughout that life span she tried many things however nothing ended up working in the end. "This world wants me to live." That was something hard for her to digest when she came back to life again.
"I just went back to trying to kill Dusk."
it kept her mind off the pain and it let her escape from the curse known as life. There was nothing left for her but insanity and madness. The result of all those decisions was the thousands of voices that destroyed each new life. She was also responsible for all of that. They would eat at the mind causing them to become unstable unless they broke past it. The only fragment of herself that managed to even get remotely close was Relia. "She almost did it." Now though any hope of that was gone once Azalu took her rightful place. Her only choice now was to die.
"That sounds like too much of a bother Azalu. It was nice to see you again but I'll be leaving now. If you really want to fight me then come find me, I'll always be waiting."
Dusk's figure left her sight as rage overcame Azalu.
"Bastard, get back here."
Azalu flew off in the distance as the memory came to an end. Yanyan's eyes opened up as she looked around the now empty cave. A lot of her pain had eased up physically after sleeping. "Azalu..." Sitting up, Yanyan hoped her memory was just playing tricks on her. "Gone." Gloominess overcame her as she thought about that memory. "Death?" It was a concept that she didn't quite understand until now. "Is that really what she wants though?" Whenever she looked at Azalu that wasn't what Yanyan saw nor did the emotions in her memories portray that. Which left Yanyan wondering what Azalu's actual goal was or if she even had one.
"So many memories of Relia, out of all of those memories Relia is the most vivid....So complicated."
Emotions, feelings and stuff like this was all too much for Yanyan. Feeling a headache, Yanyan checked over her body as she decided what to do next. With Azalu gone and a lot more knowledge now there was a chance she could go to other places. "Where to starT?" One place came to mind when she thought about where she wanted to go. It was a place in the very depths of Xilo's memories. A place that was called Fiery Clan. He pretended to dislike it but it was the place where he grew up and spent his life. "Sounds like a good start." Maybe if she went there she could gain a few more memories or just have a good starting place.
Standing up, Yanyan had a very rough idea of where it was.
"It's pretty far but if I should be able to make it."
Heading out of the cave the demonic monster that ate anything in its path was replaced with a harmless looking girl that wandered out of the forest. Picking up another brick, Xilo made sure nothing would collapse on him as he tossed it in the pile behind him. Others would come along and move it afterwards, right now he was just cleaning up the streets with everyone. It was a simple job but that gave him room to chat with everyone, so that was a bonus. It definitely made the task feel less boring. They went down the streets picking up anything and everything. Lexia had told them to finish the street before they could take a break. "This pace is rough." With how many things littering the ground they would be here for at least a couple hours longer.
"We haven't found any bodies either, though we're near the outskirts of the city. This is where the least damage was caused. If we go further, that might change."
It wasn't something Xilo wanted to think about, however he had to accept it. There was a very good possibility the next pile of bricks he moved could have a corpse under it. This whole City was a mess and he was getting to experience all the damage Katrin caused first hand. "A good reminder as well." This just enforced his thoughts about taking care of the Astral Zones in a different way. If they continued to just blow them up like this then it could lead to a lot of tragedy.
"Xelfia, why are you clinging to me?"
"Felt like it was really boring. I need some energy to recharge."
"You know that's not how that works right?"
"Eh. really? Doesn't it feel nice to feel me so close to you? I know for me it does, it's very soothing having your presence so close."
"..I do, I get what you're saying but we need to be working. If we get distracted, who knows what Lexia will do. We don't really know her yet so I want to leave a decent impression on her."
"Meh, who cares what she thinks. We're only here because Katrin told you to come. If she hates us, so be it. Besides she's been watching me and you for a bit now and she hasn't said anything. So we're fine, let me enjoy this!"
"So you felt it too then."
"Of course, Lexia's sight has been glued to your body. I wonder why she seems so bent on watching you?"
That was something Xilo really didn't know the answer to. Maybe she was just making sure they did their job but if that was the case she should be watching everyone. She stayed on him though and never let him leave her sight, ignoring everyone else. "Did I do something to her?" It wasn't harmful though so Xilo just left it alone along with his curiosity. He doubted if he went up to ask her she would give him any real answer. "She did try to check my body earlier as well." Just like then she only tried it with him, so he had to be the main focus.
"Did Katrin tell her something?"
That was extremely doubtful.
