Another drink arrived at the counter with a small sound.
*Clink*
Breaking out of his own stun lock Tano grabbed the drink quickly and shoved the liquid down his throat. The last time he had Levia like this was the day he had stumbled across her lost and lonely. From running away from him in a fit of anger and rage to returning in tears. "Not the exact way I'd thought I'd see her again." The liquid travelled down his throat, cooling his brain off and making it easier to think. Putting the glass down it disappeared to be refilled for another drink. Slamming his hand down on his knee he looked at Levia and Yanyan back and forth.
"You think me of all people is suitable to take care of this girl? I remember raising you up to be a mercenary yourself so what's the difference between you and me."
"I chose this kind of life! It doesn't mean Yanyan will."
Levia tried to wipe away her tears as she spoke.
"You don't know that and I certainly don't. At the moment you seem to be doing all the talking while the girl you're holding looks confused. Does she even know what's happening or did you decide this all for yourself again?"
Levia's hand froze, wiping her eye as she looked down at Yanyan who had been staring at her the whole time. Tano was right, she hadn't talked to her at all except for some vague details here and there. She had zero idea what Yanyan actually wanted for herself and it hadn't even crossed her mind to ask her. She had just selfishly decided what she thought would be best for her and her own conscience. "Just like Tano did to me." Tilting her head, Yanyan didn't really have any idea what was going on, she only knew Levia was sad talking to this person. Reaching up with her small little hand Yanyan grabbed Levia's cheek for a second.
"Don't worry, I'll handle this."
Feeling Yanyan's touch Levia didn't understand what she meant by that. "Handle what?" Yanyan jumped off her lap before she could even react. Standing in between the two of them Yanyan stared at the old man who made Levia cry. "You.." A spike of anger flashed on her innocent face that wasn't there before. Tano noticed the anger that had suddenly appeared before he felt a direct impact in his stomach. Losing his breath he felt himself get sent flying across the room smashing into a bunch of people and chairs along the way. All the noise and chatter around the bar grew in power as a fight broke out before their eyes.
It was the perfect entertainment for them.
"Wow, she packs one hell of a punch for such a small body."
Standing back up, Tano shook off the pain from such a sudden attack. Levia's eyes widened in shock as she reached down and quickly grabbed Yanyan before she could do anything else. "Stop!" Holding her arms back she held back Yanyan as she tried to rush into another attack. "It's okay." Yanyan struggled to break free as she heard Levia's voice calling out to her. Tano made sure everyone he had ran into was okay before he walked back to Levia and the girl. Once that was done he bought everyone in the bar a round to settle them all down. "Yeah, I probably deserved that." Slowly getting closer to the girl, Tano did his best to smile and appear as friendly as possible.
"Yanyan, I'm sorry if I made you upset but I don't want to fight you and I certainly don't want to hurt Levia in any way. So could you listen to Levia and calm down before we make too big of a scene here?"
Yanyan's eye twitched as the horns on her head buried into her skull.
"Yanyan, Please. I'm not in danger, there isn't a need to fight."
Whispering that in her ear, Levia felt her struggling stop. Breathing a sigh of relief, Levia sat down on her chair and brought Yanyan back onto her lap. "I really don't know how she feels." Hugging her close, Levia watched Tano sit back down. "Yanyan is a lot stronger than I imagined." She hadn't expected Yanyan to just send Tano flying because she had started crying in the slightest. It seemed like she had also gotten her lack of communication skills from Tano as well. Yanyan sat back down on Levia's lap as she calmed herself down. "Why did I do that?" She had felt urges before in the past yet never like this. It had taken over her once she saw Levia crying.
"...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."
"It's alright, we all get a little emotional once and a while especially when we're young. Though since Levia hasn't asked you yet let me do the honours. Yanyan what is it that you want to do, stay with Levia or come with me? I can't say I can give you exactly what you want but it's good to include you in this conversation."
"Stay with Levia or with you.....? I don't know."
Met with that kind of answer Tano knew he was in for a huge headache. He had thought this war was already a pain in the ass but he managed to find something worse. "I came out of retirement for this?" Another drink arrived at the counter that instantly downed. In truth he really didn't care if he had to take care of Yanyan, he just wanted to make sure this was what they wanted. He had already made the mistake of assuming what someone wanted in the past once and lost Levia for so long because of it. He would rather not do it again and maybe lose another one. "I've already lost two Daughters." Making it a third would be too painful even for him.
He wasn't made of steel, his emotions were the same as everyone else.
