Forces Collide

"If we want to find the nearest group of people we should go where they were assigned."

Xilo ran with everyone as they headed towards the group of people nearby. They needed to group up now and use the numbers they had to their advantage. Running around corners and going down streets, Xilo sensed people hiding in their houses as they went by. "This place has been locked down." Sensing a few familiar presences up ahead Xilo found Vandor's group after a bit of effort. They were clearing out another Clan before moving on to their next target. It seemed like they hadn't run into any trouble from the looks of it. Though when Vandor sensed a large amount of presence coming towards him, he got worried for a second.

"Oh, it's just Xilo. I wonder what's got him into such a rush?"

Vandor broke apart from the group as he walked towards Xilo.

"Hello sir, we've managed to take over four different clans so far. We've met up with one other group as well. What about you?"

"Something weird has been going on, So I'm trying to group everyone up. If you can stay with us for the rest of the night and send out a few of your men to tell some others. I've already sent a few as well. Hopefully each group gets the warning in time."

"Eh, why, what's going on Xilo?"

"I think Landel might have known about our attack tonight and planned something. Multiple Clan's have gone missing so It's best we stick together. So far Felli, Yulrin, along with me have come across it."

"Alright, I understand."

Turning around Vandor shouted out his new orders as he sent a few men to go find everyone else. Merging their groups together, Vandor passed the lead on over to Xilo as they cleared up the building. Setting up a large group of people to check on their surroundings, Xilo gave zero chance for an ambush. "Where are they hiding?" This had gone from a relatively smooth operation to a stressful one in the matter of minutes. Everyone was on high alert as they moved through the streets. "We need more people." Xilo had no idea how many would come to attack him or if they were already attacking others.

"If Landel is picking us one by one, we need to look for everyone. Who knows what kind of danger they are in by now."

"If we head back a little bit, I came across another group nearby that we can join. I think it's one under one of Katrin's soldiers commands."

"Great, thanks Vandor."

Following Vandor's directions Xilo guided a group in the couple hundreds through the streets. Stomping around as they ran, Xilo checked every building they passed with his senses to see if anyone was hostile. "No one yet." The fact that no one had found anything was testing his nerves. Meeting up with the group Vandor talked about earlier, their groups merge with them as they repeated the same thing. "I think we had thirty or so Clan's to attack." Out of that Vandors, The commanders and his own had reached ten in total, leaving twenty left. With about three or four missing so far from those it was difficult to tell the numbers they had left.

"How many, how many?"

That question was stuck in Xilo's mind as some of his messengers returned finally.

"Did you alert everyone?"

"Yes, Groups 7 and 8 are on standby at a clan not too far from here. They are awaiting your arrival sir."

"Good."

While Xilo was gathering everyone up, Landel stood in the front of the Castle waiting for their arrival. A set of cages holding people sat behind him guarded by multiple people. "Let's send a welcoming gift their way." Pointing at his men he sent them away in hopes of leading Lexia's resistance towards him. The faster they arrived the faster he could kill her and deal with Cestrin. "I will rule." Cestrins army was storming their border with each minute passing and slaughtering more of his people. The frontline had been taken out and villages destroyed. So many requests of support had come his way that he began to ignore them.

"I am the only one who can win this. Not some demon and not some dragon. NO matter the cost, I will kill all of them."

A fang stabbed through a man's body as Cestrin's king ripped the man apart with his bare teeth.

"The time has come."

Spitting out the corpse, his large body moved forward with his army as one. Thousands upon thousands of Astral Beasts trampled everything in their way without stopping. They had come to slaughter this entire place and end the long lasting feud. Fighting for control and the freedom of Astral Beasts. All the humans would die here without a single exception then he would move on to the rest of the world.

"The time of change is here and the Astral Beasts will be on top once again."

The trees around them fell to the ground as they destroyed the grass beneath them. "Tidal's King, Landel. You're about to meet a few surprises of mine." It was time to unleash the control he had kept on a few of his pawns. With their assistance Landel would break and never be able to offer up a resistance.

"I killed them the first time Landel, can you kill them a second time though?"

Cestrin's king had bet their whole victory on this strategy.

"Lexia will kill you."

Lexia felt a rush of pain run through her body as her mind split apart into pieces all of a sudden.

"AAhhhhhhhh"

Screaming in pain she fell to the floor as she was overwhelmed.

"What the heck's going on?"

Nothing had hit her and no one was near her, she had just suddenly felt a tremendous amount of pain without a reason.

"...Kill...Landel."

As the pain faded, the urge to kill Landel grew stronger within her.
