Mel, where are you

The days went by and Collins had started adapting to his surroundings slowly.

He called everyone he saw 'mama'.

Or does he?

That's what everyone thinks, but the boy was actually asking for his mother.

They take it that it was the only word he could utter, which is why he's saying this.

He was treated like a prince.

Everything was provided for him and the workers were so careful around him.

The owner of the house was very sensitive to the well-being of the boy.

If he cries, someone must be hit for it.

If he doesn't eat, he would make sure his Nanny was starving for the whole day.

The treatment he was getting was even more than that of royalty.

He was so possessive that Collins felt safe with him and within 3 days, he became the only person he allowed to carry him without crying his heart out.

You must be wondering how the other families were coping.

The answer was simple.

The girls lied about needing a short vacation and left home. At least the annoying boy would have calmed down within 2 weeks and the man might stop hyping over his existence.

Maybe everything would have cooled down.

As for their mother, she stayed out of sight all the time.

It was like he and the boy knew each other before.

He made people know she's around, because he moved back when she showed up and whether he would cry or not, depends on if she moves closer.

It was so irritating, because she had to leave.

If she doesn't, chairman Charles will ask her to, so she just gives a fake smile and says some soft words about how he was cute and all.

And then she will leave.

One boy and their home changed within 3 days.

She felt that this cannot go on.

....

Meanwhile, it wasn't their side alone that things had changed.

Amy has been worried sick about Mel's whereabouts.

She felt like her fear had come true and those people had hurt her.

She has looked for her everywhere, cried every night for 3 days.

She was scared.

She does have family members, but they don't stay around, which left Mel and Collins as the only family she has come to get attached to.

Everywhere feels empty.

Her arms still hurt and is still bandaged, but since there aren't any complications after her surgery, she was able to go about her daily life, but careful how she used it.

She didn't know who to turn to anymore.

She decided to hire a private investigator to look into it, but first, she wanted to go and confront those bastard families and ask about her friend.

She needs to at least get a clue before asking someone to look into it.

If there's a chance that they knew about her whereabouts, which she's sure they do of course.

But, she cannot pin her disappearance on them. They are powerful people and if there's something she has, then it's common sense and how to make sure she doesn't actually rashly when it's not required.

Her jumping into danger the day Collins was taken is due to the fact that there's a chance her friend could escape.

But now, she knows she's at a disadvantage in this situation.

The least she could do is handle it with smartness and hopefully she could make amends for not stopping her friend and God son to suffer the fate they did.

With this mindset, Amy gets to work.

First thing first, she contacted a trustworthy private investigator.

Someone that has passion for finding out things.

Someone who gets thrilled by discovery and wouldn't be swayed by money.

It wasn't so hard for Amy to find one, because her working in an office with different people as clients gives her such a connection.

She had even tried helping Mel get a link to work, but nursing a baby she couldn't leave in someone else's care forfeit all the plans.

She explained what happened to the young man and he seemed to be interested in the case.

Trying to outsmart rich people with skilled men working for them sounds fun to him.

They agreed on payment and he also suggested the same thing on Amy's mind.

How about going to ask them if they perhaps see Mel.

They would ask like they aren't so sure she came there.

The decision has been finalized and for safety purposes, the guy offered to follow.

He has inky black hair that was cut into punk style and gives off the bad boy vibe with the way he smirks every now and then and his deep black eyes looking like he's staring at someone naked.

It would have been considered creepy, if he wasn't even showing that he cared for anyone or anything.

And he's cute, so definitely will leave girls blushing, and he would have gone his own way before they come to their sense and accuse him of eye-raping them.

He was knowledgeable in fighting and could turn the situation around with words, without letting it escalate.

Just in case Amy was riled up with vile words.

"Thank you." Amy said to him and he shrugged.

"Thank me when we get to the bottom of this. I'm getting paid, so no need for appreciation." He said and Amy shook her head

"No, not that." She said.

"What then?" He asked with lack of interest.

"It's not easy to see someone who wouldn't care about money." She said and he simply shrugged again.

"I'm not doing it for free. Let's just say I'm strict with business." He said and was already on his feet.

"Shall we visit them now?" He asked and Amy nodded her head, before standing up.

Her mind screams, 'Mel, where are you?'

Her entire soul wishing no harm has come to her.

"I will find you, Mel. Wait for me." She muttered to herself as they left the room from chairman Charles' manson.
