Never forgot his Mama

They weren't expecting the treatment they got when they arrived.

It was so shocking that Amy felt very uncomfortable.

If not for her determination to find her friend, she would have run away, believing it's a trap.

But right now, even if this was a trap, she would gladly enter it.

It has been hell for her living past those few days and knowing her friend and godson might be having a difficult time.

Immediately they got to the main vicinity of the Charles's home, they spoke to the security about their reason for coming and after contacting the main house, they were allowed to pass.

They even save them the stress and appoint someone to walk them to where the entrance to the main house was.

Amy looked like she was expecting something bad to happen out of nowhere, while the handsome man beside her just maintained a passive expression.

And just like that, they were received and currently sitting in the garden of the mansion, awaiting chairman Charles, whom they requested to meet.

Amy looked about, feeling scared of the way things are going so smoothly.

They neither beg nor try to use threat.

"Uhm… I never get to know your true name." Amy tried to start a conversation with the man beside him.

She wants to take her mind off the uneasiness she's feeling.

"Yes. Because it's not necessary." He said and Amy looked at him, feeling like his reply was harsh.

But she only met with his assuring look, "don't panic." He said.

Amy readily nodded her head, understanding that he might be cautious about something and not meaning to shurn her.

Maids arrived with trolleys containing refreshments and began to serve them, but Amy's mind was all over the place.

The fact that Collins might actually be in this house made her restless.

If only she could just gain some supernatural power, burn down this place with these rotten people in it and take Collins away.

So many silly thoughts occupied her mind and one thing is clear, the rich are sometimes no different from God.

"Juice or wine, please?" One of the maid asked and Amy was about to reject when the man beside her spoke up.

"I will take orange juice and you…." He turned to face Amy, "what about you, babe?" He asked and Amy was about to give him the look of, 'you really aren't scared of being poisoned?'

But then, she noticed that the maids seem to be studying them.

"Same thing as you." She said in discomfort and they readily poured it for her.

"That will be all." The guy said and the two maids nodded their head before walking away.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"Calm down and follow my lead." He said seriously and Amy looked about to be sure no one was watching, before saying, "my friend's son was kidnapped to this mansion. I am sure he's in here."

"Yes, he might be, but there's nothing you or I can do. Remember the purpose of being here is to find out where your friend is. Don't be distracted." He said calmly without any hint of emotions in his tone, but when he was addressing the maid, he was acting so natural like it wasn't his first time visiting the place.

He deserves an Oscar award.

"Yes." Amy said and sat well before taking a long deep breath, yet her mind linger on the feeling of being in the same compound as Collins and couldn't see him.

"Take your drink." He said and Amy quickly shook her head.

"No," she said flatly.

He didn't say anything and just took his own.

Amy was once again, shocked by his action.

What exactly is he doing?

She wondered, because it wouldn't cost that man a thing to poison them.

He shot her anyway.

"If he wanted to harm us, he wouldn't treat us this nicely. The main thing you should worry about was his response to our question." He said and Amy pondered on his words, while he enjoyed his orange juice.

....

Meanwhile, inside the main house, the maids reported.

"They took orange juice and I confirmed he was already taking a sip before we stopped watching them. Seems they are close because he addressed her intimately"

After hearing this, chairman Charles merely smiled.

"Okay. Look after Collins' want, I'm coming." He said, dropping the boy in his arms on the couch and helping move a small baby table closer to him, setting his iPad on it and clicking on a YouTube video.

While other kids would be watching cute songs and videos like, 'daddy shark, do do do do do, or twinkle twinkle little star, Collins was being shown videos of how to multiply and subtract.

The screen was reflecting a multiplication table fitting for a 5 year old child or above.

The boy had nothing else to watch than that and was slowly adapting.

He doesn't say anything except, "Mama" and when they took him out and he saw the back view of a woman about his mother's stature, he began to struggle to free himself and began to cry.

They said children forget faces easily as days and weeks go by without seeing the person, but the boy seems to remember his mother everyday.

It has been over a week now and nothing has changed.

Giving up isn't in a kid's diary, until the goal is achieved, you forced it on them or they just hit a bottom of nothingness in the advances.

The goal isn't achieved yet and the boy doesn't seem to see it as the bottom of nothingness as long as women surrounded him and he knew the woman that never left his side day and night has the same structure.

And talking about forcing? Chairman Charles isn't planning to hurt the boy, so he calmly takes in all his attitude when he is in his 'Mama' mode.

Just like Mel isn't ever going to give up on his son, it appears the feeling is mutual.

He will always want his mother, because he was deeply attached to her.

He wasn't blind to see her reactions to things that concern him.

He never failed to see her looking so frightened when he merely miss a step and nearly tripped.

He wanted his mother back.
