The Training Tab

Another year passed before something broke me out of my routine.

It was just after my 8th birthday when I was just going to bed after practicing my Chakra Control, a message from the system popped up.

You have reached the minimum required age, the Training Tab has been unlocked!

Excited to see what the mysterious tab that was filled with nothing but, question marks before. I rushed to open it to see what had changed.

Academy (Day 1)

???

???

???

???

Most of it was still hidden but, the Academy option that unlocked had me interested. Did it mean the Ninja Academy from the show?

Not seeing any reason to hesitate I clicked it.

The world went black and suddenly I was somewhere else.

Looking around my jaw dropped as I immediately recognized the place I was at. I really was in the Ninja Academy from Naruto!

I could see dozens of young children sitting around me excitedly talking about ninja. I was even able to pick out a few faces I recognized Neji, Tenten, and Rock Lee.

"So I'm in the year before Team 7 started" I held my chin in thought. I couldn't tell if that was important or not.

Everyone hushed down as the teacher walked in and slammed his stack of folders against the podium.

"Greetings class" he spoke "my name is Iruka Sensei and I'll be your homeroom teacher for the year."

My heart was beating out of my chest and I had no idea what the hell was happening. Did I get transmigrated again? Because that would be way too much for me to take.

Iruka continued on with his Speech going on about the will of fire and how we were taking our first steps to becoming proud ninja of the Hidden Leaf Village.

After his speech he told us that he was going call our names and that we would need to stand up and introduce ourselves before saying why we want to become a ninja.

I just zoned out still wondering if any of this was real or not until he called my name.

"Isao Iga."

I really liked how my new last name made my full name roll of the tongue.

"Here" I said standing up "my name is Isao Iga and I want to become a ninja so that I have the power to protect myself and others."

Iruka smiled at my answer and I sat back down.

The class continued on for the rest of the day with nothing really important happened like most first days of school.

During our lunch break I tried talking to the other students to see if I could learn anything.

And I ended up coming to the conclusion that all of this really was fake. I didn't have any solid evidence to base that off of yet but, everybody I talked to who wasn't a character in the show seemed slightly off like their A.I. was as good.

Regardless I decided to just enjoy the experience. I didn't know how long I was going to be here but, it would be incredibly useful to learn everything the ninja school had to teach me.

The end of the day came not long later and as the final bell rang everything faded to black once again.

Academy (Day 1) Completed

Reward: 10 Points

I woke with my father shaking me awake.

"Are you alright? Why are you on the floor?"

It took my brain a couple of seconds to reboot and figure out what had happened.

"I must have rolled out of bed" I lied.

During my morning training with Dad I thought about what just happened. It seemed like the Ninja Academy was some kind of super realistic simulation.

Open the system I noticed that the Academy (Day 1) option was greyed out now and did nothing when I clicked it. It wasn't that hard to guess what was happening.

It seemed like every day I'd unlock another day in the Academy, and that it would happen every day until until four years passed and I graduated.

I laughed thinking that this way I really will be a real ninja.

Once night time came my guess was confirmed when Academy (Day 2) showed up.

This time I made sure to get into my bed before I clicked it because it seemed like my body goes into a coma while I'm doing this.

Nothing spectacular happened in class this time either. But, we did go over our syllabus for the year and there were a few topics that seemed interesting.

Aside from boring stuff like geography and math that wouldn't help me at all. There were also lessons planned about things like concealing weapons, how to sneak properly, and lethal and non lethal places to stab someone.

"This really is a ninja school" I laughed to myself.

Academy (Day 2) Completed

Reward: 10 Points

And the extra Points every day were awesome too.

From then on my daily life was completely filled. I was either training with my parents, practicing my Ninjutsu and Fuinjutsu, going to school, or going to my better more awesome school.

It was tiring but, it was fulfilling I was becoming stronger and learning something new all the time.

Before I knew it three years had passed and I was now in my fourth and final year of the Academy. I learned all kinds of useful skill which even included things you wouldn't expect like drawing which was useful for giving reporters on enemies you encountered, or cooking and playing instruments which were in case we needed those skills while undercover.

All that was fun but, my favorite activity by far was sparing with my classmates. My physical body could never improve here because this was only a dream but, that didn't mean my skills couldn't.

My parents were so far ahead of me that I couldn't tell if I was improving while fighting them. But, in the Ninja Academy everyone was about at my age and skill level making for much more interesting fights.

The only person I didn't like fighting was Neji because of his stupid Byakugan, he beat me nine out of ten times and I finally understood why everyone called him a genius in the first part of Naruto.

My favorite person to fight on the other hand was Lee. He wasn't the energetic green spandex wear whirlwind yet and still had his ponytail. But, he trained harder than anyone when it came to Taijutsu and we always had straight up brawls with no fancy tricks being used like with Neji. Our win lose ratio against each other was pretty even.

Tenten was honestly the worst, I know it wasn't a very nice thing to say but, since she couldn't use weapons during our spars which was her main thing it was childs play to take her out.

Spars weren't the only training we did in those three years. In that time I also basically mastered throwing Shuriken and Kunai something I definitely couldn't do in the real world.

There were also tons of obstacles courses and wilderness excursions where we learned how to hunt and how to tell if a plant is edible or not.

The best part in all of this was that with the additional Points I was making every day I finally had enough Points to get the Shadow Clone Jutsu.

With my Chakra I could only make two clones maximum and even then they wouldn't have much Chakra left for Jutsu.

But, that was okay since I didn't want to use them for fights, especially after I stabbed one of my clones as a test. I collapsed on the floor in pain feeling like it was actually me who got stabbed.

"Naruto really was a fucking monster" I cursed while holding my side. I couldn't even imagine what it would be like making hundreds of clones and having them constantly be popped.

I decided right then and there that I would only use Shadow Clones to help me train and as a distraction.

They would be useful for giving me an alibi while my Villain persona is running around in the future.

Other than that I also had another use for them.

After creating a couple clones I had them transform into random appearances and sneak into City Hall with my newly acquired skills.

Their goal was to create several false identities for me to use. I could use them for all kinds of things. But, my main plan was to send my clones out into the world and have them get jobs to start letting me save up money.

If I was going to be a Villain in the future than I was going to do it right. And a part of that involved having a kickass secret base, and something like that was going to cost money.

One of my clones got a job at a convenience store as a teenager just out of high school, and the other started working in the call center of a bank.

It was nothing glamorous at the extra fatigue I got from my clones when they dispelled at the end of the day was nothing to laugh at. But, I was making a huge amount of money since I didn't have to pay for anything and I even managed to avoid taxes by sneaking into their office and messing with some records.

I didn't need to worry about being caught either since if my clones were found they would just dispel themselves.

On the weekends when there was no school or work I had my clones go out and start looking into the darker parts of society. I wanted to know where the black markets and fight clubs were and who were the big names to look out for.

I wasn't having much luck but, I knew they would have to be well hidden in a world full of Heroes.
