Singularity

My father made good on his promise of not holding back. The very next day he woke me up at the crack of dawn and forced me to go jogging with him. That doesn't sound too bad until you realize that we were running a 20 mile round trip, and that my father didn't seem to know what the word jogging meant.

He kept up an extremely fast pace the entire time and barely even seemed winded. I had to push myself to the absolute limit to even keep up with him and collapsed about half way through, and had to be carried back.

After I had a bit of time to rest it was onto our next exercise.

Push ups, sit ups, squats, and all other exercises we went through pretty much all of them. This wouldn't have been a problem for me normally because I worked out regularly in secret but, trying to keep up with my dad kicked everything up to the next level.

By ten in the morning I was completely wiped.

"That was my regular light morning routine son" my dad said "if you still want to become a Hero then you're going to start doing this with me every day."

"I'm not giving up that easy" and shot him a glare while still gasping for air.

My father simply chuckled and left me on own.

Once he was gone I dragged myself to the bathroom and took a shower to clean myself up. The hot water felt amazing against my sore muscles. I didn't want to admit it but, this morning was brutal! If my bodies endurance wasn't enhanced by my Chakra there was no way I could've gone on as long as I did. I almost even gave up a couple of times.

But, I stuck to it because I was hard headed and didn't want to admit defeat I'm front of my dad.

While I was relaxing in the shower my dad was wiping his sweat off as he walked into the kitchen to greet my mother who was making us a large breakfast.

"So how did he do" she asked?

"Honestly" he sighed "he's a monster."

My mom stopped what she was doing and raised her eyebrow motioning for my dad to explain.

"Even, if was my lightest exercise routine it should still have been way to much for any six year old to handle but, he stuck it out till the end. And even when it was too much for him and he was forced to stop it was his body that gave out first not his spirit."

"I wouldn't expect anything less from my baby" my mother hummed causing my dad sweat to drop.

"I don't think you quite get it" he continued "Even, if that was no where near my maximum I had to train for years to be able to finish an exercise like that!"

"All I'm hearing is that our son is a genius, so what exactly is the problem?"

Dad sighed "It's not a problem It's just I'm amazed is all. Though I'm also a bit worried too but, not about our son."

"What are you worried about" my mom looked at my dad concerned knowing it took a lot for something to worry him?

"It's just something I read in a scientific journal a couple years ago. There was an article about something the called the Quirk Singularity."

"What's that?"

"It's the idea that Quirks are becoming more and more powerful with each generation."

"Well, that doesn't sound too bad" my mother added.

"It is thought" my father continued "the article supposed that one day peoples Quirks will become so powerful they will grow outside of humanities ability to control and run amok."

"That's horrifying" my mother gasped "is anything being done about it!?"

My father shook his head "No, people laughed it off as a crackpot theory. But, after seeing how strong my son was today and remembering some other things I've heard and seen I think it might be true."

"What are you going to do?"

"Right now nothing" he shook his head "aside from getting in contact with the man who wrote the paper there isn't much else to be done."

"And what about our son?"

"If that theory is true the in the not so distant future the battle between Heroes and Villains is going to be more intense than anytime before. Our son is right this world is a dangerous place and I want him to be safe. With his strength and will I don't think it would be impossible for him to crack the top ten in the future."

My mother nodded "I think so to he's always been far more mature and driven than other children his age. I'll help out with his training too, I want to see just how far he can go" she pumped her fist.

Over the next year my parents trained me into the ground. Not just with exercise either, we started sparing regularly too, and nearly every time I got my ass kicked. I couldn't even land a hit on my mom who had been retired for years, let alone my father who was showing Kakashi levels of disinterest when we fought.

I could tell he wasn't even trying, and it let know just how far I still had to go.

Other than my increasing strength and skill my Chakra has started increasing like crazy. My guess was that since I reincarnated my soul was already fully devoted and had huge amounts of Yin energy, and now with my intense new exercise routines my Yang energy is finally starting to catch up.

My Chakra wasn't like a ball anymore it was getting to be the size of a small room.

The Leaf Training was basically useless to me now and I decided to start trying Wall Walking. It only took a day an a half to get it down but, I couldn't sustain it for long because it took thousands of times more Chakra than training with the leaf.

I also earned a decent amount of points over the years. With the daily training missions I got I was making about 10 Points a day and over the past couple years that added up to over 14,000 Points.

I was tempted to unlock the One Tomoe Sharingan but, reluctantly decided against it. The Sharingan was amazing and the early levels of it didn't really need to be trained, they just worked once it was activated. So there really wasn't any benefit to unlocking it now as opposed to later, especially when I wasn't getting into any life or death fights.

I thought about how I needed to become both a Hero and a Villain. It seemed like it would be a good idea to find a way to differentiate my Hero identity from my Villain one.

And so I had to choose which abilities I would use for which identity.

I figured it would probably be a good idea to hold nothing back with my Villain persona since that would be the one seeing the most combat at least in the beginning.

I didn't want to end up like Phantom Thief and get caught by All Might.

But, doing that felt like it would leave my Hero side lacking. So, it seemed like a good idea to pick an ability that I would exclusively use as a Hero.

Scrolling through the Jutsu list I found a technique that wasn't too expensive and seemed like it would be extremely useful as a Hero.

The Shadow Imitation Technique! Shikamaru's signature move.

It never seemed super impressive in the show because the Nara clan that Shikamaru was a part of didn't really have huge Chakra reserves and used their intelligence to win fights. But, when I saw the Jutsu in the list it reminded me of the fight against Momoshiki in Boruto where he used the Shadow Imitation Technique to stop all 5 Kage including Naruto from moving!

That was a huge accomplishment and showed just have far the Jutsu could go if taken to the limit.

It cost 10,000 Points and waste most of my Points but, seemed like it would be worth it. And while I was at it bought the three Academy Jutsu which were super cheap as well as the Body Flicker, which was the technique the ninja used to travel long distances quickly.

I wanted to buy the Shadow Clone Jutsu too but, it cost over 20,000 Points so it didn't seem like I'd be getting it for a while.

The week after I bought the Shadow Imitation Technique I called my parents into the room saying I had awesome to show them.

"So what did you want to show us son" my father asked?

"This" I said grinning.

"What are you talking about baby I don't see anything" my mom said?

I laughed and didn't say a word instead I slowly started raising my left hand into the air as my father did the same.

His eye widened realizing what was happening "You have another Quirk!"

"What" my mom gasped "but, he's well over four years old!"

"I think I could always do this mom, I just never noticed it before because of how It's activated."

"And how is it activated" my dad asked "also can you put my arm down?"

"Oh, sorry" I blushed. "And as for how it works" I looked down making my father do the same.

He saw a thin line extending out from my shadow connecting to his Shadow.

"Interesting" he mumbled "It forces me to copy your movements when your shadow is connected to mine. But, what if I?"

He started trying to move and I had to pour a massive amount of Chakra in to stop him from escaping.

"So, if someone resists it becomes harder to keep them in place" my mom noted after seeing the sweat form on my forehead.

"Regardless" my father flexed completely breaking my control sending me tumbling back a couple steps "this new Quirk is going to be extremely useful as a Hero."

"Right" my mother clapped "you could stop Villains from fleeing the scene of a crime or easily resolve hostage situations, It's an amazing support ability!"

"Indeed" my father nodded "but, you'll still need to practice it diligently for of it to be much use. We'll go down to the doctor tomorrow to get your new Quirk registered and I'll think of ways for you to train your ability."

I went back to my room satisfied with how things were going. My parents didn't suspect anything strange about my new power and I was enjoying using the Shadow Imitation Technique. It was the first technique that I would be able use freely in everyday life.

Back down with my father he was frowning.

"You're thinking about that Quirk Singularity thing again aren't you" my mom asked?

He nodded "that shadow Quirk it's to different than either of ours."

"But, don't children have different Quirks from their parents all the time?"

"Yes but, children don't usually have two different Quirks. And when that does happen they normally have the exact same Quirks as their parents, this is nothing like either of yours."

"Your really worrying about this aren't you?"

"Yes, I just have a gut feeling this Quirk Singularity stuff is important."

"But, what can you even do about it?"

"That professor" he continued "the one who wrote the paper. I tried contacting him last year but, couldn't contact him, so I did some investigating and found out he disappeared and no one knows what happened to him."

"Did you look into it?"

"No" he shook his head "people disappear all the time, and I didn't have the time to look into it."

"And your going to look into it now, right" my mom sighed?

"Yes, something about this stinks to me."

"Just, promise me you'll be careful" my mom hugged him "I have a bad feeling about this too."
