Lunch with Kara

"I think you misunderstood me. I'm not really a superhero, Kara. I'm more of a good person that will help when he wants. Or I would have appeared far earlier don't you think so," says Jack who was sitting on a chair across Kara and Alex while eating lunch with them.

"So you aren't a hero," says Alex.

"That's right, I'm not a hero. I like to help people but I don't need to be a hero to do that," says Jack as he drinks from his cup.

"You must have a reason for not being a hero. Come on we won't laugh about it," says Alex curious to find out why Jack isn't a hero.

"It's quite simple. Every time a Hero appears a Villian will follow him soon after. Then the hero puts him in jail and a little later he will escape again and everything begins anew. That's why I'm not a hero. Man, I feel like I gave this speech before," says Jack as he is reminded of his cousin and thinks, 'Hope he is doing fine.'

"So you think if there were no heroes there wouldn't be villains or criminal?" asks Alex.

"No, but these villains wouldn't be overpowering the police forces with the gadgets they wouldn't have built in the first place to fight the heroes," says Jack stating a fact there.

"What about aliens?" asks Alex and Kara became nervous all of a sudden.

"I don't have anything against them as long as they don't mess things up," says Jack and Kara breathe out in relief.

"Alright, but what would be your solution to the breakout problem you pointed out?" asks Alex.

"You won't like my answer to that," says Jack now nervous because Kara is too innocent for that answer.

"Come on it could help us in the future don't you think so," says Alex pushing Jack to answer. Jack looks at Kara with a worried look.

"I won't loathe you for whatever that answer might be," says Kara innocently making Jack almost melt there.

"*sighs* Alright, it's quite simple," says Jack as he takes a deep breath and continues, "You kill the villain so he won't be a problem in the future making other villains think twice about coming out to challenge you."

Kara broke her glass that she was holding while Alex let hers fall to the ground and Kara says, "Did you really do something like that before?"

"I did and would do it again," says Jack with a serious face, while Kara had a face that could speak for itself. "I know that you don't think the same way then I do that's why I didn't want to tell you. Every person has another way to resolve their matters," says Jack as he stands up ready to leave and walks towards the door.

Kara, who calmed down again followed him and says, "Wait." Jack stops in the hallway and Kara says, "You can't just leave because we don't share the same idea on resolving this matter. Didn't you say so a moment ago? Every person deals with it in another way right."

"Yeah, but I won't change my way just because of you," says Jack as he approaches the door and opens it.

Kara approaches him and tries to close the door instantly only to make a hole in it making both be the closest they have ever been feeling the skin of each other when she says, "I don't demand you to change. I just want you near me is that too much."

She begins to blush after realizing what she said a moment ago and Jack says with a smile, "You know what you just said right now, right?"

"Yes, don't think I don't know. You were the first person that noticed me and even helped me. And the first person I didn't even know me that said I was beautiful. YOU ARE EVEN THE FIRST PERSON TO KNOW MY SECRET BESIDE MY FAMILY," says Kara serious not realizing how near both were to each other.

Jack then closes the door and Kara got even nearer as he turns his head towards her and they kiss by accident and Alex who was watching them with her phone out made a picture of both at exactly that moment. Kara was now completely red and almost falls to the ground when Jack catches her and asks, "You alright?"

"What do you think. I gave my first kiss away," says Kara that was in his arms. Jack carries her to the couch and lays her down while he sits beside her.

"So it seems the couple has been formed. You really work fast I must say Kara," says Alex as she shows the picture to her.

"Delete it," says Kara as she rushes her sister.

"Can't, I have to send it to mom so she knows our little girl found a man," says Alex teasing her sister.

"I would prefer not to send it around since we aren't really a couple yet," says Jack.

"Too late, she already sent me a message," says Alex as she shows both the message Eliza sent.

"She is more concerned with the hole you made in the door then your kiss with me it seems," says Jack after reading the message.

"It's quite hard to find a boyfriend for Kara. So Mom wouldn't write about it and is most likely thinking it's a photoshop I made to prank her," says Alex explaining why the message didn't sound like her Mom was excited.

"So your mother thinks that Kara can't find a good man?" asks Jack.

"Something like that. Kara is quite shy when it comes to the opposite sex when it isn't her cousin visiting her," says Alex when she suddenly remembers something and says, "Right I forgot he wanted to come by because he is searching for a villain that defeated Wonder Woman and Silver Amazon some weeks ago. He was flying over the whole Westcoast and will be looking for him around here."

"And who is her cousin and isn't it yours too?" asks Jack curious.

"Really? Can't you count one and one together," says Alex looking serious at Jack, who seriously didn't know and Alex says, "Wow never thought you wouldn't know. Well her cousin is Superman. Normally he is in Metropolis but now since two weeks ago he is inspecting the cities in the Westcoast for a Monkey or that's what he said. The whole League is in an uproar and that doesn't do the DEO any good. So that should also answer your question of why he isn't also my cousin."

[Right, we escape here only to get caught because of your blond fetish.] says Venom.

[How should I have known she is a family member of Superman.] says Jack.

"How old are you, James?" asks Alex wanting to know more about Jack.

"20 years old," says Jack when Kara looks at him and gets red knowing that he was drinking when he wasn't even 21 in a bar.

"So you are younger than Kara. Interesting. Well, I need to leave have to do my report on this new hero that I found. Do you have a name as a hero or-" says Alex when Jack interrupts.

"Who have you to report to?" asks Jack nervous.

"Don't worry it's so we know about you. It's the DEO we normally take care of the security here in America against people like Kara and you when you get out of control. Now then the name?" says Alex.

"Black Soldier or Soldier Zero are the common names given to me," says Jack when he sees Alex write it down in her phone.

"See you later then," says Alex as she leaves and looks at the door and says, "You need to fix this later."

"Don't worry I will help her," says Jack.

"Already playing th boyfriend, I see," says Alex as she closes the door behind her.

"Your sister is nice if I say it modest," says Jack making Kara laugh. Then Jack uses magic and the door repairs itself.

"What was that?" asks Kara interested in what Jack used.

"Magic, I learned from the best. Its quite easy once you understand the basics of it," says Jack as he begins to explain it to her and she begins to form her first dimension portal after some hours.

"That's pretty hard don't you think so," says Kara as she felt somehow exhausted and Jack catches her.

"You alright?" asks Jack now worried.

"I'm fine just exhausted from that circle thing that I made. Just lucky that no one was in the office to see it," says Kara when they hear knocking on the door and she walks towards the door while saying, "That must be Clark."

She opens the door and behind it was Superman. He enters and sees Jack and stares at him for a while before looking at Kara and says, "Didn't know you had a boyfriend. How long are you together?"

"He isn't my boyfriend. At least not yet," says Kara while blushing when Clark stretches his hand out to shake Jack's hand. Jack complies and both shake hands.

"I'm Clark Kent, Kara's cousin and you are?" says Clark wanting to find out.

"The name is James Striker. So what makes Superman come and visit his cousin," says Jack making Clark retreat for a second while Jack thinks, 'I really should question the intelligence of the humans on this earth. They still don't know who he really is with only using glasses to hide it.'

"How did you-" asks Clark when Jack interrupts him.

"Alex. She can speak a lot when she said you were coming she told me you were her cousin," says Jack and Clark looks at Kara, who only nods.

"It seems it's true that the Danvers siblings can't hold a secret for long," says Clark making Jack laugh and Kara goes red when Clark asks, "Why are you laughing?"

"Because of the truth you just said," says Jack reminded of what happened when he entered the apartment.

"Don't tease me," says Kara with an embarrassed look on her face while blushing.

"So she also revealed one of your secrets," says Clark with a smile on his face as he sits down on the couch. Kara went to the kitchen and brought a glass for him with water.

"Something like that," says Jack neither confirming nor denying what Clark said.

"So Jack, what do you do?" asks Clark curious to find out about the person that his cousin fancies.

"He works as the manager in LUX for a friend of his that lives in LA," says Kara informing Clark about Jack's job.

"A manager, it's a good work that pays well. But I thought Diana's cousin owned all LUX in the world," says Clark suspicious of Jack now.

"Right, you mean Lucifer Morningstar. He is my friend. He asked me some weeks ago to look after it for him," says Jack.

Clark was already putting the puzzle together in his head. The Monkey was a friend of Lucifer and it's been two weeks since he left LA and says, "You hide quite well. I would have never thought you would hide before my nose."

"I never tried to hide," says Jack as tension was building in the room.
