chapter 6

there exists a fine line between rage and madness and today was one of the days where Rias was reminded why Ryner is called as the Mad One,

right now the heiress of the Gremory family was looking at the corpse of the Fallen angel that had tricked Issei Hyoudou into going with her so that she could kill him,

the body itself looked like a dried-up husk as if she had not died mere hours ago but centuries had passed since her death, she was literally nothing more than skin and bones,

Rias shivered as she watched the horrifying look plastered permanently on the Fallen's face,

truly, Ryner deserved to be called as the Mad One

---------------------------------------------------------------------

"Rias Gremory, you are nearby removed from your position as one of the owners of Kuoh" Ryner said stoically as Rias showed a stupefied expression which was mirrored by her peerage

It had been a few days since the incident with Issei, during this time Rias had tried to find Ryner and convince him to join her peerage no matter what it took, she was even prepared to offer him any price should there be a need but the man had disappeared from Kuoh for all this time, but suddenly he came back today and said the thing directly to her face

"Excuse me?"

"I have already informed the Shinto about what had transpired a few days ago and they have deemed you incompetent in handling this part of the land, they have already sent a notice back to the underworld about the reclamation of this land by the Shinto, Lucifer has decided that he and the Shinto would negotiate about it in a few weeks time but until then you and Sona Sitri are no longer the owners, I am" Ryner said as Rias grit her teeth

she truly regretted not taking care of those fallen angels in her territory before this monster appeared here, but she could do nothing as she was busy with her own worries which revolved around a certain bird, she had wanted to delay the issue for after she had dealt with her personal problems but in this short amount of time disaster had already struck her, she learnt from Sona that the student she was intending on adding to her peerage, Issei Hyoudou was attacked by a Fallen Angel and that the Mad One had taken care of it,

the next day Ryner had confronted her about the issue and accused her of planning the death of the boy so that she could gain another 'slave' which of course was not true but who could tell this Devil hater, thus the issue escalated out of hand and ended with the current situation,

Rias sighed tiredly, the only good thing that came out of this situation was that she had managed to convince Issei to join her peerage, it was not that difficult she only needed to tell him that he could gain a harem if he became a high-class devil and he readily agreed.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

in a luxurious house located at the edge of the town,

Ryner was sitting in a meditative pose as he tried to gain a greater comprehension of the fragmented memories of the demon king,

'master, you need to find the location of Taeshalach as soon as possible, your mind is already at its limit fighting off the corruption' Gorribal said,

ever since Ryner had unlocked a small portion of Sargeras's power he had received a tremendous boost in power but he had also received a small portion of the corruption from the Void Lords which had once caused the Titan to go insane, the only reason he had yet to be corrupted was because of his unparalleled soul strength and will, it , during this time that he had reached a solution,

he needed to recreate the Gorshalach, the sword that was once wielded by Sargeras before he was corrupted, the sword was strong enough to cleave through planets so Ryner concluded that if he used his mastery over the Arcane and the Fel combined with knowledge of the Dimensional portal he had inherited from Gul'Dan, he should be able to open a portal to the realm of the Titans where, according to Gorribal, the Titans had been working on a cure to the void corruption before they had perished,

this was the only option he had left if he wanted to be free of the corruption

Ryner sighed as he thought,

'What a pain'
