Sacred Gear and the Occult Research Club

Damien outstretched his hand and thought of a knife with a simple design, just a handle and a short blade. His mana flowed through his body and converged at his hand. It seeped out from his hand, taking on a material form. What was created was a knife, exactly as how the boy had thought of. A smile was plastered on the the boys face which would dazzle anyone who saw it. He did the same thing again but this time, instead of a knife a long sword was formed, still with a simple design. Damien swung the sword a few times, getting used to weight and length before he willed it away.

Now for his second ability. He imagined has mana seeping out from his body and clustering behind him, forming a portal. A portal was formed behind the boy, one of pure mana. A sword could be seen coming from the portal until it shot out from the portal and stabbed through a tree faster than the human eye could follow, destroying the tree before the sword disappeared into mana particles and returning to the boy, refilling his mana reserves.

Damien did this over and over again, creating new weapons and getting used to fighting with them. He had instinctual knowledge of how to use his weapons because of his sacred gear but he still needed to practice using that knowledge. By the time the boy was done training the sun was beginning to rise.

Damien started walking out of the forest, wanting to find where he was. He soon came to a familiar abandoned church. It was familiar because this was the church that Issei had his battle with Raynare.

"So, I guess I was dropped off in Kuoh Town. That makes everything a lot easier." The boy says as he walks passed the church and towards the town.

It wasn't long before he came to a school building with a sign outside the gate reading, 'Kuoh Academy.'

"I wonder how I should hand this. I didn't plan on being created rather than born." Damien thought out loud. "Should I make contact with the Occult Research Club now or wait until I fix my issues with housing and schooling?" Damien thinks to himself. "Ehh...let's see what happens." Damien then walks onto the school ground, grabbing the attention of the high schoolers wandering around the campus. They could tell he didn't go to the school. Surely they would know if someone with his looks went to their school. Damien walked through the crowd of students but there was one girl that didn't move. She had long crimson hair and an hourglass figure that made all the boys stare. "So this is Rias Gremory. She looks exactly as she did in the anime." Damien thought to himself as he looked the girl in the eyes.

"Hello." Damien says extending his hand. "I'm Damien. Is there something you need with me?" Rias took his hand and shook it.

"Hello Damien. My name is Rias Gremory. I wanted to ask if you'd walk with me for a bit." Rias said as she examined the boy. "This boy.....he has so much magic power. How is this possible. He's only human yet he has more mana than most devils and angels and I can tell this is just the beginning." Rias thought to herself.

"Ohh? And wherever would we go?" Damien asks her, noticing her calculative gaze. "Shit....how did she find out so soon. Was it my mana? Crap. That was probably it. I need to learn how to mask my mana." Damien thought.

"To my clubroom. There are a few questions I wanted to ask you."

"Well, how can I turn down an invitation to be alone from such a pretty girl." Damien responds in a teasing tone as he walks off with Rias leaving the crowd of students jaw dropped.

Eventually they enter the clubroom and Rias sits on her chair.

"I am the president of the Occult Research Club and this is our clubroom. Welcome." She says as she moves in her chair a bit.

"Thank you although, I don't know why you brought me here. I'm not even a student at this school."

"Yes that is a problem. Tell me Damien, why are you here?"

"To be honest, I'm not entirely sure. I just woke up in the forest outside of town and made my way here." Damien, not having a believable excuse, just decided to use the partial truth.

"If you don't want to tell me then that's fine but don't lie about it." Rias said with ice in her voice.

"I'm not lying. I truly don't know why I'm here or how I got here. All I know is that my name is Damien." Rias looked at the strange boy and a smile formed on her face.

"Okay, how about this. I'll make it so you can go to school here and I'll provide room and board but in exchange you have to join the Occult Research Club." To anyone on the outside, this looked like an amazing deal but Damien knew what she was implying. Only devils could join the club so I would be forced to become a devil to live up to my side of the bargain. A slight smirk crossed the face of the young boy as he though about the proposal.

"Really? That's it? You'll help me out that much and all I have to do is join your club?" Damien asks, faking a naive persona.

"That's right. But of course you'll have to participate in all our club activities as well as meet certain requirements which we'll talk about later today. So, what do you say?"

"Of course! That sounds amazing! Thank you so much for helping me out of my predicament." I tell her with a truly thankful tone. I actually was very thankful for her helping me out so much, even if she was keeping certain things from me.

"Don't worry about it. Just remember your side of the deal." She said as she stood up and reorganized some papers on her desk.

"Of course! My word is my bond." I tell her with a serious tone but a happy expression. Rias then took out her phone and called what I assumed to be the school board, telling them what she needed from them. Of course, since her family practically owned the school along with the Sitris they promptly accepted her request and I was admitted without any particular problems.

"Okay, it's done. Go to the staff room to collect your schedule and come back here at the end of the day so we can talk more about the club activities and such." She told me. I nodded and exited the clubroom, leaving Rias standing behind her desk. She then made a second call. It rung twice before bing picked up.

"Madam President?" Asked a male, charming voice.

"Hello, Kiba. There is a boy named Damien that I put in all your classes. He has the potential to be extremely powerful and I want you to keep an eye on him and get on friendly terms with him." She then proceeded to tell her all about Damiens situation and what she needed Kiba to do.
