Akiza and New Life

Inside a garage house, Genesis sat with a soda, and next to him nervous was Akiza with a glass of juice on the table with a sleepy expression.

"So tell me what will you do now?"

Akiza lowered her head, not knowing what to say. Genesis sighed, knowing Akiza's past. So he decided to put her at ease.

Genesis stood up from the couch, making Akiza jump slightly. He motioned for Akiza to follow him. Hesitant, Akiza followed him, with a few steps Genesis led Akiza to her bed.

Pointing to his bed, he said to her, "Listen, I can see you're tired and scared, so go sleep."

Akiza stared at Genesis, not moving.

Understanding what she was worried about, he said: "Don't worry, I'll sleep on the sofa, plus you're nothing but a little girl, you don't have to worry about me making you. Something."

After that, Genesis left, leaving Akiza standing next to the bed.

Sitting on the sofa, Genesis picked up his soda again, frowning slightly and thought.

"What should I do now?"

He didn't know what to do with Akiza. Although he knows his story, and knows that his parents regret, he knew that for the moment Akiza would never want to return neither to the academy nor to his parents. At the same time, he didn't want to let this megalomaniac Sayer brainwash him, after all he hates those who manipulate children.

Drinking his soda calmly in his thoughts, he noticed after a long time, that it was already dark, and that there was no one in the street. Getting up, he noticed that Akiza had fallen asleep on his bed, he also decided to fall asleep.

Taking off his long crimson coat, and his long military boots, he was left with cargo pants, and a sleeveless shirt, showing his muscular arms. He put his arm to the back of his head and fell asleep on the sofa.

On the bed, Akiza got up slowly without making a sound. Seeing Genesis asleep, she heaved a sigh of relief, and also fell asleep peacefully. During her life, she could not trust anyone, for this reason she always had guards in front of her savior, however she felt no bad intentions as usual. This is the reason why she followed him to his home. However, she was afraid he would reject her that he learned that she had strange powers.

Finally, falling asleep peacefully, without fearing for herself, Akiza fell asleep with a thin smile. At that moment the Genesis opened an eye which looked at Akiza. He closed it and shook his head, sighing in pity.

The next morning, while Genesis was still asleep, he smelled a slight smell of egg and meat. Opening his eyes, he saw a short figure standing in the fitted kitchen.

Standing up with a yawn, he finally identified the figure.

"Akiza?"

Jumping slightly in surprise, Akiza turned around with a spatula in hand.

"Genesis! You scared me!" Akiza said, putting a hand over her heart.

Genesis looked at Akiza and asked in an uncertain voice, "What are you doing?"

With an embarrassed look, Akiza looked at Genesis and replied, "Well, for helping me I decided to cook you some breakfast."

Looking at Akiza, Genesis sighed. Believing Genesis didn't like it, Akiza lowered her head, her eyes tearful, blaming herself for still being useless.

*crack*

Surprised by the noise, she lifted her head, and saw Genesis sitting at the table, watching her.

"It is true that I am a little hungry. Let me try your food."

Her eyes widened, Akiza smiled happily for the first time in years, and with a smile on her lips, she continued to cook scrambled eggs and bacon.

A few minutes later, a series of dishes were on the table. Looking at Genesis with hopeful eyes, Genesis didn't hesitate. Eating a mouth, he secretly nodded, and looked at Akiza.

"It's very good."

Akiza was happy, after all she had never cooked for anyone.

"How did you learn to cook?" Genesis asked, because for a 14-year-old girl, knowing how to cook this way is impressive, even for one who has eaten dishes from nationally famous chefs in his past life.

With an expression filled with loneliness, Akiza nodded and answered.

"... Having lived alone for a long time, I had to learn to manage, otherwise ..." Akiza did not finish the sentence, because she seemed to remember some unpleasant memories.

Putting down his fork, Genesis told her in a straightforward voice with a sincere look, "Tell me. Don't worry I won't judge you."

Hesitant for a few moments, she decided to tell her experiences at the Duel Academy.

Listening to Akiza recount her life at Duel Academy, Genesis was disgusted.

At the Academy, Akiza was persecuted by students because of her powers. These persecutions were discreet, such as letters of suicides in her locker, insect infested food in the canteen, or being ostracized by her classmates and ... For a teenage girl, it must have been hell to live this way years.

The reason she ran away from the Academy was that she couldn't take it anymore, she felt that she would break if she continued to rest, but the moment she saw her parents happy, Akiza could not more controlled, and hatred invaded his heart.

After destroying her parents' house, Akiza ran as far as she could, but she was tired after using her powers, and after encountering hooligans, she was helpless, that's when he had saved from their hands.

In the end, Akiza was in tears in front of Genesis after she finished telling her story. His eyes were blank, having lost faith in humanity.

Genesis recognized those eyes, the eyes of someone with nothing more to lose, someone who could easily drift down a path filled with darkness, from which he could no longer extricate himself. These eyes were especially visible in the infamous quarters, people who were willing to do anything to survive or protect someone dear to him.

Memories that he no longer wanted to recall rose in Genesis' mind, which he suppressed.

Rising from his chair, he walked over to Akiza who was crying, and hugged her. Akiza who had found herself in Genesis 'arms froze, but feeling Genesis' warm embrace, Akiza let out all the sadness in her heart that she had locked up for long years like a dam.

As the minutes passed, an hour passed and Akiza's crying stopped. Looking up at Genesis, Akiza with red eyes, clutching Genesis' clothes, told him in a low voice.

"Thank you. Thank you for listening to me."

Genesis hugging Akiza a weak Akiza, replied, "That's okay, I just hope you're feeling better."

With a rodent on her face, Akiza opened her mouth to say something, when suddenly she was interrupted.

"Yo Red King! I got what you wanted-"

Blister who had just entered Genesis, froze seeing him hug a girl.

Quickly, a strange smile emerges on his face, and he says teasingly, "Oya Oya, Red King looks like you're wasting no time."

Genesis narrowed his eyes and replied directly, "Don't make a prank, Blister."

Genesis put his hand on Akiza's head and said, "It's a girl I saved last night. And you know full well that I won't touch the miners."

Akiza who heard Genesis's words, a flash of disappointment crossed her eyes.

Blister snorted in amusement and said, "You're not funny."

Blister then looked at Akiza and raised his hand to greet her: "Hi little girl, I'm Blister, an acquaintance of this guy"

Akiza bowed slightly and introduced himself: "Nice to meet you, my name is Akiza Izinski."

Blister smirked and with a hand under his chin he smirked, "You're pretty, little girl, you should be careful, this guy can attack you anytime you know."

Akiza blushed, and her eyes glanced at Genesis.

Genesis stared at Blister indifferently, telling him with his eyes to get down to business, or else he will be in pain. Raising his hands in surrender, Blister turned serious and put a briefcase on the table next to some food.

"Genesis, I got what you wanted, I created a foolproof identity for you, even against the high ranks of New Domino City."

Opening the briefcase, documents with Genesis' face appeared. Taking one of these documents, Genesis began to read it.

After reading it, he put the document back in the briefcase and said: "It's perfect, with that I can live without hiding."

Without a word, Genesis walked over to his Duel Runner, opened the safe from his seat and pulled out a briefcase which he gave to Blister.

Confirming his payment, Blister smiles and with a theatrical gesture he says, "Well, Genesis Rhapsodos, here is a new life offered. How will you live it?"

Genesis slipped back and didn't answer him. Blister ignored him and said, "You're really no fun. Okay, if you need me you know how to contact me."

With a wave of his hand, Blister left the garage.

Akiza, who had been silent from the start, looked at Genesis thoughtfully. She wondered if the person who had saved her was a criminal.

Noticing Akiza's expression, Genesis smiled and explained honestly with nothing to hide after he knew Akiza wouldn't say anything.

Genesis explained to him that he lived on the satellite, but that he had come to live in New Domino City.

Learning that Genesis was from the satellite, Akiza was surprised, but then she didn't care. After all, no one in New Domino City has been sympathetic to her, so why should she have to discriminate against Genesis, who accepted her.

After their discussion, Genesis began to pick up his things which were not many, Akiza remained standing, not understanding why Genesis was preparing his things.

"Why are you packing your Genesis things?"

Genesis looked at Akiza for a moment before responding, "I'm moving out, with my new official and legal identity, I can officially buy a house and start my life here again."

Akiza who understood why Genesis was putting away its cases nodded, but with an uncertain expression she asked: "What about me?"

Genesis put down a box containing his clothes and looked at Akiza.

"* sigh * What do you want to do? I know you have nowhere, so when I leave, what will you do?"

Akiza didn't know what to answer, because as Genesis had said, she didn't want to go back to her parents, or to the Academy. Raising her gaze hopefully, she looked at Genesis.

Understanding that look, Genesis began to think, he knew he had two choices. The first ; abandon Akiza, the second; bring Akiza with him.

Sighing, he knew he had already made a choice in his heart.

Lifting a box, he motioned to Akiza.

"Help me, after all you will help me in our new home."

At Genesis' words, Akiza froze for a moment, before tears pained her eyes. With a nod of her head, she proceeded to help Genesis.

In less than an hour, Genesis put all his things in his Duel Runner, except the bed and a small fridge which he abandoned. After all, Genesis has no shortage of money.

With a deafening sound, Genesis accelerated down the road with Akiza gripping his waist tight on his Duel Runner.
