Prologue

One day, my life changed forever.

It was just another weekend off. I was shopping at the grocery market for food supplies.

"Hmm, should I just get more ramen…? But it's not too healthy."

Rubbing my chin in deep thought, I was examining a packet of ramen.

Well, if Naruto can become the Hokage by eating only ramen, this clearly shows how good they are for you.

With logic on my side, I was about to buy the packet of ramen.

However, at that moment, all my surroundings began to change.

The illuminated roof above my head switched to a dark, starry sky. The cool weather switched to a humid and hot weather, typical of a tropical island.

Moreover, I was now suddenly next to a garbage dump in a middle of some abandoned alley.

"What the hell?"

My entire body's features began to tremble uncontrollably.

It was my body trying to subconsciously vent out the stress from what was happening.

Just then, my eyes fell on to a piece of paper lying on the ground.

I picked it up slowly, only to have my shock intensified even further.

The piece of paper read: [Wanted, dead or alive. Pirate: Arlong… 20 million Berrys] In addition, it also had 'MARINE' written on one corner and a picture of Arlong in the center.

There was no doubt about it…

"I am in the one piece World!" I yelled.

Before I could begin going through an existential crisis, I saw a few windows open from the houses around me.

"Shut the hell up, beggar!!"

"Be quiet! We're trying to sleep here!"

A group of residents in the floors above me started to abuse me. However, I was still too confused to pay them any heed.

Whoosh…!

Suddenly, someone from above threw something down in anger.

When I took a glance at it in the very last moment, I noticed the object was at the size of a football.

All I could do was make my peace with God, since I could tell that object was heavy and surely enough to kill me from that height. Or so I thought…

Tunk…! The object hit me in the head.

It successfully knocked me unconscious but failed to kill me. Humans were built much tougher in the world of One Piece after all...
