Chapter 4: Welcome home

It's midnight and the city is bustling, People getting neon tattoos, bikers getting into conflict at the bar and of course there's me, running across the roof tops with a beaten prostitute on my shoulder and a group of gangsters shooting at me. Obviously this isn't an ideal situation for me but I wanted to know what she knew about Valak.

Valak was the third hero, he was the same height as Marcus, he had brown eyes and green hair, he always wore a hoodie that was too big for him, it was a gift from his father. Valak was as popular as the others but he was quite reserved, he would talk if you talked to him but other than that he was quite quiet, that's probably why he became more of an assassin type hero.

As the bullets fly towards me i start dodging, for some reason I can see the bullets in slow motion, I can see them spinning in the air and I can hear what direction they're coming from. Even my stamina seemed to have improved, I've run across seven city blocks and feel completely fine. The group of people following me eventually start to grow tired, so i see this as my opportunity and jump onto the street, I land perfectly without a scratch on my body. I take in a deep breath and begin to sprint in the only safe house I know, home.

Surprisingly the street names where unchanged so finding my way home was quite easy, the lady on my shoulder was out cold. Home, it's exactly the same. I lived in a two story house with two bathrooms and four bedrooms, my room was in the left window and my parents were on the right.

I do a little run up and jump on the roof right in front of my window, I open the window slowly being careful not to make too much noise. My room is exactly as i remember it... horrible there's anime posters on my wall and a waifu pillow, "I should probably burn these later". I place the girl on my bed slowly and make sure that she's alright, obviously she wasn't because she was beaten and bruised when i found her. "I suppose I should wait for her to wake up", I leave the room and head downstairs, "I should say hello to my parents in the morning", I lay on the couch and eventually fall asleep.

I opened my eyes and I'm back in the astral hall, the black dragon is in front of me, I can't control myself, its exactly the same as it was before but this time I remain conscious. My vision is red and my body is in pain, a war cry is released from my mouth, suddenly my body lunges towards the black dragon. I had tackled the beast on its back, my arms begin to swing wildly on the dragon, each punch heavier than last, I punch it over and over and over and over, the voice in my head begins to multiply, each screaming telling me different things, eventually the voices all sync and chant "Káto Kósmo", the chant becomes louder and louder, I then plunge my fist into the dragon's heart and start chanting too. I open my eyes again and I'm back on the couch, it was all a dream. I begin to sit up and I notice two familiar faces, with a massive look of frustration on my mothers face she tells "welcome home".

Before I can say anything my mother hits me across the head with a frying pan, she starts yelling in my ear about how i kept her waiting for months and how she knew i was alive. "You didn't think i was dead?" I ask "of course not, you're kinda like a cockroach". My mother is short with black hair and has always been hot headed, she would always try her best to make me study and clean. "Oh home already son, HAHAHAHA" I instantly recognise that its my father, only he would attempt a joke like that. they don't bother asking me about what happened and instead we just have breakfast, we don't talk about much except for how much weight I loss. After breakfast I excuse myself and head to my room, I have a mission that must be done, no matter the cost. I must burn my anime merchandise.
