Elijahs POV: I asked Simon if he would ask Hayley to meet with him for something important. She agreed...

N: A few hours passed until it was dark outside...

Hayley's POV: The weirdest thing happened today, after the spell was broken so I could leave the house I got a strange text from Simon who hasn't spoken to me ever since I told him about vampires and about me being one. I had a bad feeling about this but I had to see him. He wouldn't even speak to me, so I was glad he asked me to meet up with him, although he said in the woods alone. Maybe he wanted to talk more about this vampire stuff. I didn't really care though because I finally get to see him, he refused to see me until he was ready so I guess he was. I'm just really glad that when Kaylee tried to find my weakness they didn't find out it was Simon, I learned how to block it or to make them see something else. That's why all they saw was Elijah. And I did care about him, but right about now everyone else can rot in hell...

Elijah's POV: Hayley just walked up to Simon, we went over everything he was supposed to do, first he had to "trip" and cut his hand, and with the blood lust being so powerful over Hayley right now she'd immediately start to feed on him, and that's when I'd swoop in. And that's exactly what happened, I ran in and threw Hayley off Simon and grabbed him, he was a little faint which was perfect. Then I told Hayley that if she didn't turn her humanity back on that I'd snap his neck, of course she didn't know anything about the rings, so if I snapped his neck the ring would bring him back to life. Then she called my bluff which is exactly what I wanted her to do. And without a warning I snapped his neck...

Hayley's POV: Elijah really thinks he can scare me by threatening Simon. He's got another thing coming, so obviously I called his bluff knowing he wouldn't take an innocent life. But that's when I saw the look in his eyes, he wasn't bluffing and before I could tell him to stop he snapped Simons neck. Oh no, what just happened, what did I just do, omg! How was I going to fix this and bring him back to life. I was bawling, I couldn't believe Simon was actually dead. How could Elijah do this, I thought he loved me. I started to get angry for not preventing this from happening, I punched the window in his truck and started freaking out, I didn't even realize that my humanity was back on. I guess they knew all along that Simon was my weakness. Then Nik grabbed me from behind and Elijah came up to me. He asked me to calm down. I really wanted to but I couldn't. My best friend was dead and there's nothing I can do about it! But then they showed me some tacky ring he was wearing, apparently it will bring him back to life since he died a supernatural cause. A weight lifted off my shoulders. We all sat there and waited for Simon to wake up. He finally did and the first thing I did was give him the biggest hug of his life. He seemed relieved the ring worked and he wasn't the only one. But then I remembered something Elijah told me a few hours before when we were still back at the house. He said that when my humanity was back on that I needed to focus all my feelings on one emotion so I wouldn't fall apart again. I was thinking about all the people I killed, how Simon could've died, but the one thing on my mind was Clarissa and how I hated her, I didn't think I was capable of hate but I am and I hate her. I wanted to kill her. I found that one emotion to focus on, rage. And right now I will find out where the hell Clarissa was and I will kill her...
