Chapter Eighty Three: The Proposal

N: Three months have passed, it was now summer and there was a new mystery approaching...

Hayley's POV: Katherine and I finished up the house a little while ago, it looks great, she has amazing taste. We've grown to be best friends already, as far as Elijah and I, I think Kaylee or Katherine told him about how I wanted to travel because we've been on the road visiting anywhere I wanted for the past three months. We've been everywhere, places like Hawaii, Bora Bora and almost everywhere else. We even went back to Rome to check out things there. It's been a dream come true. I got everything I could want, that's possible! While we were visiting everywhere, after the first couple stops I told him why I was so upset on my birthday, about how I'd never get married and never be able to have kids. He knew how I felt because he always wanted the same thing. Then while we were back in Rome, it was our last stop before going home, where we are right now, he proposed to me, even though I'm still very young, I'd be a vampire for the rest of my life and the only person I'd ever want to be with in all these lifetimes was Elijah, so of course I told him yes. There's nothing I could want more than this. It was the most romantic thing I could've imagined. We were visiting his old home, we fixed it up after Nadia trashed it before she died all over again. After we did that we were laying in bed, after having some mind blowing sex, and he pulled out a ring, an engagement ring and asked me if I'd marry him! I told him yes without letting him finish his stupid speech. I didn't need to hear anymore to know who I'd spend the rest of my immortal life with! On the way back we were so bored...ish, and we decided to stop in a hotel, we wanted to have one more night to ourselves, we are a few towns over from Saint Falls, and before we even made it to our room we saw someone, they didn't live here and we knew that because Elijah and I have been here like a thousand times. We walked over there and once we approached her Elijah knew who it was, it was a witch, she wasn't to old, looked like she was in her 30's about, Elijah asked if they could talk later. When he brought me to our room he told me that this was a witch from the 1950's. Apparently she was the mother to a woman Nik was involved with, they always were together and when Elijah and Katherine visited from being in Rome with Clarissa they met the woman Nik loved and her mother. They were both witches and this lady was a powerful, not as much as Nadia but still. He said that she was the witch who Nik went to, before He knew her daughter, when he needed a spell done, the spell that revealed he was an original hybrid. The lady was young and powerful, about 15 according to Elijah who was told this all from Nik. And she did the spell with ease, it was right before Nik met Elijah and Katherine! But they met in the 1800's. So we decided to do something to distract ourselves until we meet up with the lady tomorrow morning! We were eager to start planning our wedding, we wanted it in June of next year, we though it'd be fun to have a spring/summer wedding!

N: The next day...

Elijah's POV: After I explained the very complicated story of how I knew that witch we saw yesterday, we planned what time we wanted our wedding and then morning came. We were on our way to a local cafe where we'd meet her. We got there and the witch was already there. The first thing I asked once we sat down was how she was alive, she said she put a slow aging spell to make her not grow old very fast. That way she could do as she needed to do, whatever that was. That's how she's only about 30 now, she said she put the spell on herself right after her and Niklaus met, Incase of another emergency that anyone needed her spell for! She was very helpful and didn't seem to want to harm anyone. So when I asked her what she was doing here she said that there was a special crystal she wore around her neck that led her to a kind of new species. She got it from her ancestor not to long ago so when she saw me she thought it was just because I was an Original and the crystal didn't know that. But when she asked a weird question, she said the crystal knew of originals so she asked if she could see Hayley's hands. She grabbed hands with the witch and as soon as they did the witch ripped her hands from Hayley's grip and said she needed to leave. What the hell did she see when she touched Hayley...

Hayley's POV: Elijah took me back to the hotel and he went to look for the witch to find out what she saw and why she was so scared, I'm kind of worried he'll find out! I've never told anyone, not even Matt or Jenny knows, it runs in my dads side of the family and now that Matt's a hunter he doesn't have to deal with it and was never told since he's so young and Jenny is on my moms side of the family so she was never informed of it. There's a certain type of gene that runs in my family and I think I might have it too! It runs back to the 1400's, my family does, and they've lived in this area ever since. Now I had to know what that witch saw so I can prevent Elijah from finding out...
