Chapter Ninety Nine: The Wakening

Katherine's POV: We has so much drama going on in our lives so recently, we just wanted a day to relax until the full moon, everything we needed to be done was done and ready for the spell. But we all forgot one thing...Elijah! We had to wake him up and deal with the fact that he'd want to kill us all and we'd have to catch him up on the devils in training staying in town, for now anyway...

Klaus's POV: I offered to wake Elijah up, but before I did I decided something I'd do, something Hayley will never forgive me for! But that didn't matter right now, I grabbed a blood bag and went into he basement where his body was kept. I opened the bag and got him to feed, in seconds he was awake, as pissed. But I made sure he couldn't get out just yet, I waned him to be able to cool off until I did what I needed to do, I had Kaylee put a spell that could only allow me to leave the room, it's a special spell with lots of details. Anyway, I left, grabbed Katherine and we were on our way to surprise-kill someone. It's a technique Katherine and I learned on how to surprise our enemies...

Katherine's POV: Once we arrived at the house, I had Nik go in through the back door since we've been invited in already, I knocked and once the door was open and I was allowed into the house I made small talk to ease the trust issues between us. However it was the perfect moment to kill them. Nik snuck up from behind and before they could turn around...SNAP! Nik snapped his neck, and Tanner was dead. Now Elijah would be calm because he would be in the same room when Hayley woke up. So we made our way back to the house leaving Tanners body cold and dead in his doorway, someone would find him eventually...

Elijah's POV: I was awake. For the first time in I don't know how long I was awake. I opened Hayley's coffin and she wasn't awake. So why the hell did Niklaus decide to piss me off and wake me up before my wife was awake. Now I'd have to kill Tanner! But before I knew it Niklaus and Katerina came rushing in, they brought Annabelle with them and said Hayley would awaken very soon. That new couldn't make me happier, neither could seeing my baby girl three years old and happy as can be. I heard Hayley's breathing. I brought Annabelle in my arms as we watched her mother wake up. She wasn't confused at all which meant she really did know what she was getting herself into. She had a smile on her face when she saw Annabelle and I standing there together! I asked her if she was ok and she said she was perfect. But that soon changed when she realized why she was awake...

Hayley's POV: I was delighted to see my beautiful daughter Annabelle and my husband standing next to me as I woke up from my very long sleep. Then reality kicked in. Someone killed Tanner, I noticed Katherine and Nik standing in the doorway along with Kaylee, she was doing a spell, who knows what it was. Anyway, I handed Annabelle back to Elijah as I tried to run out the door, I couldn't, then Kaylee said she was undoing the boundary spell so we could get out. I had so many questions, which I started asking immediately. I asked who killed Tanner, it was Nik, can I really be surprised though. Then I asked what I missed, Katherine said she'd explain everything later. And finally I asked what everyone has been doing for the last three years I've supposedly been asleep for. I was asking Elijah but he said he didn't know, i asked why and all he said was he's been laying next to me desiccated in a coffin for three years! What could be more romantic? Anyway, the spell was broken so we put Annabelle down for a nap, which I still couldn't be more happy to see her and everyone else, and then we sat in the living room while Katherine, Ian, Kaylee and Nik all explained to me what was going on and what would be taking place tonight. I was literally shocked...

Elijah's POV: Along with Hayley I too was catching up on all the recent drama. They told us about the devil kids, Luke and Lucy I believe their names were, how they were staying right outside Saint Falls, and how they were planning on taking them down. I realized a flaw in their glorious plan, someone had to make sure they stayed inside that house and didn't avoid the hellfire, someone willing to die. Nobody obviously wanted to, so for the sake of this town, my family, my wife, and my beautiful daughter, I sacrificed myself to keep them locked in with the hellfire. I mean after all I was going to end up there eventually, why not get an early start! I knew the house was on a boundary spell, but all spells have a loophole, I knew the loophole in this case, it was hellfire, in order to break the spell without the witch breaking it or dying, hellfire is used to break just about any spell that a witch casted within a time period of 50 years. Therefore someone would have to keep Luke and Lucy inside the house so they'd burn in hellfire. That's why I volunteered...

Hayley's POV: There was no way in hell, literally, that I was going to let my husband and the father of my child die. Not for a very very long time, I know he's lived a full and happy life, but Annabelle needs him, I need him, he obviously couldn't raise her even with the help of his family and Kaylee, so how could I. We needed each other, that's why he desiccated next to me, he couldn't do it alone, neither can I! So I told him he wasn't going to do it, but to my surprise he wouldn't let me tell him no, he said he wanted to see his daughter grow up and that he wanted to be with me, but in his mind I had a whole family, Annabelle, his family, Matt and Jenny. So he said I didn't need him to raise our baby, he said this was the only way and that every day he would be gone is another day he'd be watching over us all. I started crying because to be honest I needed to, all of this, Elijah's speech, our daughter still being alive. Both happy and sad years ran from my eyes as I was told this. I really couldn't believe it, but if this is what he had to do and wanted to do, who was I to tell him no, how would I possibly stop him...
