Camp

In the end, they agreed to follow my plan but Sam still opposes my idea though.Lady Sophia is on my side and Sam can't deny his master's order. The atmosphere became awkward because of that.

Lady Sophia ask me to break the ice.

"Hey, Vin, why do you want to enroll in Elementary Academy? Isn't you need to search for your parents?"

"Of course I have to keep looking for my parents, but I have to learn more things before I can find them. I need to learn about this Kingdom, how to use magic and weapon if I have a chance."

"You have good swordsmanship though."

"That's not enough Lady Sophia. This world is very vast and I need to prepare when I meet someone who stronger than me on my journey. I am an orphan, so I think I can't enter Elementary Academy because I don't have money. That's why I will accept your request if you can make me enroll in Elementary Academy."

"But where do you get the katana and that storage pouch?

Lady Sophia always observes me when I talked with Sam. I feel she has an ulterior motive but I can't point out that. At least she won't do anything to put me in danger.

The night is approaching and we decided to stop our journey and we make a camp near the river.

"We will stay here tonight, Lucky for us, we can make a camp near the river."

"You guys, prepare the tents and I will prepare the dinner after I told my lady to take a bath."

It seems everyone has their respective job. But what can I do to help them?

I tried to ask Sam, but he glared at me.

Maa, that's doesn't have any effects on me though.

"You can help them to set up the tents."

"Okay."

"Lady Sophia, please take a bath in the river. I will make sure no one will disturb you. Remember to use the soap, my Lady."

"Thank you, Sam."

Honestly, I think they will have a private talk when no one disturbs them and I really want to know. But she will take a bath and I can't do anything like peeking.

Not only it will be bad If I get caught, but I will also feel guilty too because I do indecent things.

I come to one of the adventurers.

"Hello, may I help you?"

"Sure, can you hold this?"

He gives me a yellow small box. It is slightly bigger than my palm. Then he takes another one and shows me how to use this box.

"This is Instant tents pocket. Follow my instructions. First place the box on the ground."

He put the yellow box on the ground. I do the same and take some distance.

"Use your mana to activate the tents."

He touches the yellow box and uses his mana. Suddenly there is a string popped out from the box.

"Pull the string and take a distance."

He pulls the string and the yellow box expanded and the tents are ready.

Wow, I think I will make a tent manually, but to think there are instant tents in this world.

Heh not bad.

I pull the string too, and my tent is ready. I don't know if I will get tent to sleep or not though.

"Is there anything else to do?"

"Yeah, we need to prepare the fire to cook."

"I have some dry branch in my storage pouch. Can I use it?"

"Whoah really? It will help us. I can't imagine finding that in the dark."

Luckily I prepare this before.

I take the branches from my storage pouch and put it in the middle of our tents.

"You have a lot. Good job!!"

"Thanks. But what will we eat?"

"Our client usually makes soup."

"I see. Can I use fish too?"

"You have fish?!"

"Yes, I have around 5 fishes left. Here take a look."

Honestly, I have 7 fishes left, but I can't give them everything. I need to save some for myself.

I take one fish and show him.

"Your fish still fresh!!! This will be a good dish. Can you give it?"

"Yes, take it."

I give 5 fishes to him.

Oddly enough, my fish is fresh even after a few days. Maybe inside the storage pouch, the time stopped or it has an anti-rotting function.

I don't really mind that stuff, as long as I can use it.

By the time we finish the preparation, Sam and Lady Sophia come. Sophia's hair is slightly wet after taking a bath but I pretend to not notice it.

"Wow, you can gather dry branch so fast and even you catch some fishes too. Thank you."

Sam said that to the adventurer beside me.

"The dry branches and fishes are from this boy."

The adventure said that while pointing to me. I flashed a smug face to Sam.

Hahaha, thanks to me you bastard.

"I, I see. Thanks, Vin."

Sam said that with a bitter expression.

My relation with him now is like a hostile. We don't trust each other and put some distance. He even doesn't speak to me after that.

Lady Sophia watch us with a wry smile.

The adventurers already make bonfires and Sam makes a simple skewer and grilled the fishes. He uses a bit of white powder on the fishes.

"What is that powder?

"This is salt."

This will improve the fish taste even though the fresh fish is good too.

After making grilled fishes, Sam makes soup too because the fishes aren't enough for us. The unlucky adventurer will eat the soup with some pieces of fish meat.

"Okay, you guys will decide who will watch us in the night."

"We will do that as usual. We will ask this kid if we need help."

"Okay, I got it."

Sam and Lady Sophia sleep on the wagon and I sleep in the tents.

These guys are very nice huh. They very considerate of me because I still a child.

Luckily this is my chance to recover my mana.I've been used transformation for a whole day and my mana is depleted.

Sleeping in tents is better than sleeping outside because the night chilly wind won't come inside. I fell asleep faster than usual.
