City P

The following day, the couple set off from the hotel to the city proper.

Breakfast at a cozy veranda with a great view of the tower was the first itinerary.

Han Yixin looked so happy as she munched on a toast. Some of the poached egg had stained the side of her lips.

Zhao Mingzhe ate elegantly with his fork, a smile was pasted on his face.

Suddenly, he took out his camera and snapped a photo of her eating face.

Her expression darkened and she tried to say 'Hey!' but could not since her mouth was full.

He laughed at her expression and snapped another photo of his wife.

Han Yixin bolted from her seat in irritation. She glared at her husband who continued to take photos.

When she was about to walk away with her mouth still full, he dashed to stop her.

He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and snapped a photo of them together, flashing his wide smile.

Then, to her surprise, he snapped another photo while he kissed her puffed up cheek.

Han Yixin blushed and forgot to chew before swallowing. She almost choked on her food.

Zhao Mingzhe hurriedly got her water. She drank as he rubbed her back.

"You okay?" He turned her body so she could face him.

"Hmmn." She nodded as she gulped more water.

To her surprise, he kissed her gently on the lips.

When he leaned back to face her, her face turned serious.

"Zhao Mingzhe...are you...are you just projecting your frustrated affection for your ex towards me?"

"Hmmm...what if I am?" he smiled. "Han Yixin, I only had one ex. I lack creativity in romance in a way, so you could only settle for these things...for now."

"For now? So you're planning to gain more experience with more girls?"

Zhao Mingzhe laughed. His wife really had an amazing mind. "Silly. I will gain my new experiences with you."

"Then...what if she comes back to you?" Her expression was serious.

"My wife, I will never betray you." He looked into her eyes.

"Even if you don't love me?"

"Well, it's too early to conclude that." He smiled.

She lowered her head, as if deep in contemplation.

He tried to sway the conversation.

"You're done?" He eyed her plate.

"Hmmn." she nodded like an obedient girl. She flashed a sweet smile and brushed the thought off her mind.

Their next stop was the tower itself.

Zhao Mingzhe wrapped his arm around her shoulders as they stepped out of the elevator.

He was afraid that she might turn into herself that time when he did a bungee jump. This time, he will never let her out of his sight.

"Wow...that's...really amazing!" she exclaimed as she admired the view of the city.

As she held onto the railing, Zhao Mingzhe held her from the back in his embrace.

"Ah Zhe..." she felt that he was a bit too showy today.

"I'm here." he whispered from behind her.

Han Yixin blushed and did not dare to ask further. She just let him do as he wanted. His warmth also enticed her.

They took several photos before coming down, and a few more at the foot of the tower.

They rented a bicycle and went around the streets. Han Yixin rode as passenger until they came across a café with cinnamon rolls smell inviting everyone in.

After eating their fill, Zhao Mingzhe returned the bicycle and decided to go around by foot.

He held her hand as he took he inside luxury brand boutiques.

"Ah Zhe...you're buying too much." Han Yixin tried to protest.

"Your wardrobe at home needs a makeover. Just pick out whatever you like."

'Makeover? Is this guy even straight?' she wondered, as she was being obliged to try on several dresses.

Finally, when they had too much shopping bags on hand, he succumb to fatigue and checked into a five-star hotel.

"Take a shower first." He told her as he ordered room service.

She nodded and complied.

It was a family suite room, which was the only one available since it was peak season.

When Han Yixin came out, her husband was already drying his hair with a towel.

Zhao Mingzhe gulped, then bolted towards her to kiss her.

Both removed each other's robes. Then he carried her by her thighs towards the bed.

They knew they are attracted towards each other, so since it was legal, they went for it in the heat of the moment.

The following day, they got up late and almost missed the museum tour. Afterwhich, they dined in a M-3 star seafood restaurant.

On their final day in the city as per itinerary, they visited a perfume shop and customized each other's scents. Then the next stop was a cosmetic shop wherein Han Yixin got to mix her own shade of lipstick.

As they stepped out of the store, Zhao Mingzhe suddenly kissed her.

"Hey!" she cannot tolerate the public display anymore.

"I'm just checking out if it is really kissproof." he justified.

Han Yixin gave up on the idea of arguing and yawned.

"Tired? Shall we go back to LH?" Zhao Mingzhe knew she used up a lot of energy during their 3-day tour of the city.

"Hey, let's go somewhere else!"

She told him directions around the city as he drove.

Then they arrived at a fairly modern but simple-looking building.

Zhao Mingzhe had no idea what this stop this is for, but he still strode to catch up to her.

He thought she was tired from going around, but she looked recharged when she came out from the car.

When they arrived at the reception, he realized that this place is a kennel.

"Oh! Ms. Han..." the caucasian receptionist recognized Han Yixin the moment she arrived.

"Hello, Kelsey! How's my Oxford?"

"Oh, he's fine...a bit shy around other people, but he has a huge appetite!"

Then the receptionist eyed the man who came right after she did.

"Hello, Sir. How can I help you?"

Zhao Mingzhe was looking around as if he was looking for something in the shop. In fact, he was just checking the place where his wife took him.

"Ah, no...he's with me." Han Yixin flashed a smile.

"Oh...this way, please..." the receptionist made her way through the hallway for them to follow.

Zhao Mingzhe thought for awhile where he heard the name 'Oxford'. Before they arrived in the kennel room, he had a eureka moment but suppressed it from being seen on his face.

"Oxford!" Han Yixin called out.

The growing puppy was already jumping and wagging its tail.

"Ms. Han, are you taking him out today?" the receptionist inquired.

Han Yixin frowned. "I...It may take awhile for me to..."

"Yes, yes we are." Zhao Mingzhe interrupted her. He saw how gloomy her expressioned turned into when the receptionist asked her.

Han Yixin swiftly turned her head towards him. She had mixed expressions as she did not know if she will be mad at him or grateful.

"I'll arrange his papers." He declared. Then he looked at the dog in the cage. "We'll fly back with him."

"Really?!" Han Yixin had a big smile, as if she was a kid picking up her first puppy. She turned towards the receptionist. "I'll be taking him back today!"

"Alright." the staff unlocked the cage and Oxford nearly jumped towards her embrace.
