Feeling that slight uneasiness from Luken, Rowan couldn't help but wonder: what was there to worry about?
He did not doubt that Luken was happy about him being able to be free from the damned mirror, but that overwhelming uneasiness was somewhat strange.
Luken should be happy, in his own opinion. Rowan was finally going to be a free man, they could meet in person!
And clearly the man would be happier with him as a person, or perhaps, just more awkward as he would be used to talking to glass reflection rather than a human friend.
Confused thoughts ran through his mind at why Luken was unnerved by the possibility of him being free. Luken clearly felt that through the thin connection.
Luken also became confused before realizing his small blunder. Clearly Rowan sensed his previous emotions and thought in a negative direction. Wanting to remedy the situation before a further misunderstanding occurred, Luken scratched his cheek before opening his mouth to clarify.
"I-I just wanted to be the one to help you," Luken mentally rolled his eyes at the slight stutter that started his sentence and continued after regaining a bit of his composure, "I feel like I personally haven't done anything to help you. I wanted to be the one to take you out of the mirror."
Luken felt a little possessive desire towards Rowan. It wasn't strong enough to be transmitted through the connection, but just enough to make him feel useless when wanting to help his friend.
Spending more and more time with Rowan made Luken feel, at first, intrigued and invested to make a worthwhile connection to wanting to become more than acquaintances to being friends. But Luken somehow wanted more. He wanted to be looked up to by Rowan, not admired, just perhaps leaning on him on times of need and Luken would do the same. Why would Rowan need help from others, like Gale?
Although he was happy at the prospects of meeting Rowan in person, wouldn't helping him personally give an even better impression and strengthen their bonds as friends?
A strange feeling was all he could describe it as. Somewhat twisted and innocent at the same time.
"Wouldn't it be nice if I helped you?" Luken eagerly asked Rowan. Yet, after asking that question, he clamped his mouth shut, awaiting the "judgment" from Rowan's own voice.
No matter what, he should respect Rowan's decision.
