Gladly!!

When Luken asked that question, Rowan was only left with the thought 'Ah, so that's how it is.'

Any previous confusion was wiped from that somewhat naive question of "Wouldn't it be nice if I helped you?" It wasn't, in his opinion, a selfish question. The desire to have someone depend on them was something that he had experienced.

After all, as being trapped in a mirror, there was only so much he could do for Luken. Thus, he felt flattered that Luken wanted truly wished to help him, especially since the man did not want anything in exchange except for his presence. In other words, Luken just wanted to meet him in person. And so does Rowan!

Finally coming face to face seemed like a joy! There was nothing wrong with wanting that.

"Of course it would be nice, and you have already helped me. If you didn't try to teach me magic, we would not have made this discovery." Rowan soothed the man's uneasiness with a bit of coaxing. But, it was true that Luken had helped him find out about his affinity with the element of darkness. Now, they were not wandering blind, they had a clear path to eliminate the Lost Magic that was casted on him.

From the connection that the magic absorption had created, Rowan could tell that the man was appeased by his words.

Rowan internally sighed and lamented that having friends was a sort of hard work to himself. Luken liked to be domineering, but acted adorable when unsure on what to do. While, Gale? An energetic person. Perhaps a little to energetic in his opinion. Nevertheless, Rowan appreciates two of his friends.

A small, lethargic voice complained: "Let's go back to sleep, it's already too late."

Gale could be seen pitifully trying to keep his head up, making Rowan feel pity for the overworked man.

Luken felt that smidge of pity from the connection and immediately turned sour as vinegar towards the other, 'Why feel pity for him? He's always like that! Lazy!'

If Gale could hear his thoughts, he would only complain even more of how Luken degraded his efforts. As for Rowan? He would just think a pouty Luken would always be an adorable Luken.

Begrudgingly, Luken, for once, agreed with Gale.

"It's time to sleep, we explore how much magic you can absorb tomorrow and see the effects." Luken absolutely disregarded Gale's existence and marched out of the private training room with Rowan in hand. Gale could only resist the urge to smack his king over the head and exit also.

The platinum-haired man rushed Gale out of the room before he could issue another complaint, leaving him alone with Rowan. Satisfied with the result, he positioned Rowan facing the window as always, near a potted plant.

With Rowan's sense of touch back, he could feel the man gently positioning him with his slender fingers, being attentive to every little detail as he rotated the mirror body to give optimal viewing of the garden. Rowan could feel the plants brush behind him and the slight coldness of the table underneath him. The hand left a lingering warmth, something that he somewhat missed the touch of when it left, but brushed that longing off as simply being touch starved.

From his angle, he couldn't see Luken, only hearing the rustling of the bedsheets, it was something he heard nearly everyday for the past few months, though as the days passed by, he became increasingly embarrassed listening to the sounds, as if he were listening to something inappropriate.

Perhaps Luken felt his bashfulness through the connection, since he asked, "Are you okay?"

"Yes, I feel okay. I just feel that maybe in the future I should get my own room." Rowan spoke with a hint of shyness in his tone that was unnoticeable to him, but crystal clear to the other.

Luken felt strangely pleased at the other's embarrassment in sharing a room. He did not think long of it as he simply responded, "In the future, anything you want will be granted. Though, arranging your own room may pose dangers since anyone could simply break in. For now, just settle for my room for now."

Rowan thought for a moment and knew it was reasonable. His existence could be discovered by any curious enough spies or a clumsy servant, then Olinthus may find their "lost mirror." He wasn't willing to take any chances, so he could only bear with his own bashfulness.

Feeling the agreement and appeasement through the little connection, Luken grunted and lied down on his bed. His eyes lingered on the sight of Rowan's mirror body, as he brought the greatest comfort for himself.

Soon, Luken fell into a deep slumber, while Rowan continued to look at the moonlit garden.
