The Sword: Part 3

Just before the Clone caught up with Adora the Original Naruto was searching through the Academy to try and find Catra. She seemed really upset earlier and he needed to find her, his first instinct was to go and search the roof. Because when she's upset Catra tended to go find somewhere up high to sulk.

But, she was nowhere to be found he decided to go ask around maybe someone in his squad saw where she went. And if that failed he'd have to use sage mode again to find her.

"Hey, Rog" Naruto found the lizard reading a book in his barracks "Have you seen Catra?"

The lizard grunted and shook his head.

"Okay, sorry for bothering you" Naruto waved and ran off looking for someone else to ask.

"Have either of you seen Catra" Naruto asked Lonnie and Kyle who were sparring in the training center? Though it was more accurate to say that Lonnie was beating Kyle into the ground.

"I haven't seen the slacker all day" Lonnie wiped the sweat from her face.

"U-um, I-I know where she is" Kyle spoke up.

"Really where" Naruto grabbed him?

"A guard came up to her at breakfast earlier, apparently she was called up to Shadow Weaver's private quarters."

"What!"

"What'd she mess up this time" Lonnie asked?

Naruto wanted to tell her not to talk about her team mate that way but, he was in too much of a hurry right now. Shadow Weaver probably noticed that Adora was missing by now and naturally the first thing she would do would be to ask her best friend where she is. And knowing how insane Shadow Weaver was and her insane obsession with Adora who knows what Shadow Weaver would do to Catra to try and make her talk, especially when Catra wasn't the best liar.

(Line Break)

"For the last time" Shadow Weaver growled "Where is Adora!"

"And for the last time" Catra huffed "I don't know, do you think I keep her on a leash or something?"

"I know you are lying" Shadow Weaver narrowed her eyes behind her mask "I know you two are close and she would never have left with out informing you first!"

"Then I guess she let us both down, huh."

Turning back to her glowing green cauldron shadow Weaver looked deep inside of it and confirmed Adora's location with her magic "Have it your child way I already know where she is."

"Then why did you even call me here in the first place?"

"Because" Shadow Weaver menaced over Catra "You're going to go get her back."

"Yeah, I don't think so" Catra started to walk off "I'm sure she'll just come back when she's ready."

Shadow Weavers hand began to crackle with red lightning paralysing Catra and making her yelp.

"Your insolence will not protect her" Shadow Weaver whispered into her ear, the witches claws painfully dug into Catra's shoulders "Now you will do what I ask."

"Or what" Catra remaind defiant!

"Or this" Shadow Weaver grabbed onto Catra's cheeks with her lightning covered hand causing her to scream in agony.

"Hey" came a new voice startling them both!

Naruto flew into the room and punched the woman in the stomach causing her to release Catra who staggered forward away from Shadow Weaver.

"How dare you" Shadow Weaver became screeched and all the light in the room died down as if it was devoured by some terrible monster. "Striking me will be the last mistake you ever make" tendels of darkness assaulted Naruto from all directions but, he easily evaded them all.

Dodging past all of her attacks Naruto was about to rush in and knock Shadow Weaver out when she collapsed on her own. She screamed in pain clutching the gem in her mask and rushed to touch the giant black crystal in the center of the room.

Naruto was a bit stunned and not quiet sure what to do. Sure she was a terrible monster who was just torturing his friend but, that didn't mean he wanted her to die in front of him. At most he wanted her to rot in a cell for the rest of her life. Eventually he sighed knowing that he had to do the right thing and walked towards her to see if there was anything he could do for her with his Chakra.

"Stay back" Shadow Weaver screamed sending a stream of shadows at Naruto forcing him to jump away. "I do not need your help you welp!"

"Sure doesn't look like it" Catra snarked very much enjoying the womans pain.

"Just get out of here" Shadow Weaver yelled "I'm giving you temporary command to lead Platoon to Thaymor to retrieve Adora do not fail me or the consequences will be severe."

Naruto and Catra quickly left the room not wanting to be near the crazy woman any more than necessary.

They started walking down the hall to the to Command where they would be able to see which Squads where availible for deployment right now. Things were a bit awkward concidering what just happened but, after making sure they were far enough away so that Shadow Weaver wouldn't hear Catra exploded!

"That was incredible! Do you know what you just did! You punched Shadow Weaver! The Shadow Weaver! It was soo cool! You just flew in out of no where and WHAM! You have no idea hom many times I have wanted to do that! But, if I ever did she would just kick my butt she has all those crazy powers after all! How did you do that anyway?! She couldn't land a single hit on you it was amazing! Can you teach me to do stuff like that!"

Catra had stars in her eyes and Naruto knew that if he didn't stop her she would never stop talking so he covered her mouth. "Catra we can talk about all that later, right now we need to focus on getting Adora."

Catra calmed down remembering what Shadow Weaver said, she said that they need to go to Thaymor to get Adora. But, Thaymor was a Rebelion base so if Adora was there then . . . We need to go" She grabbed Naruto's hand and pulled him through the base at breakneck speeds. She needed to get an assult ready as fast as possible so she could rescue Adora from the Rebels.

Naruto mentally sighed knowing what she was thinking and even if he knew that Adora wasn't in any danger right now because of the memories his Clone sent him just before he confronted Shadow Weaver, he couldn't think of a way to give her that information without revealing his powers. Which were something he was trying to keep on the down low. Since he knows from experiance that people tend to fear things that are different from them, especially when those things are warriors from another dimension that have enough strength to effortlessly level mountains.

Not to mention that from what his Clone could sense Thaymor was far from the military base the Horde claimed it to be. It seemed like it was actually just a norm civilian settlement and was even filled with a huge ammount of positive emotions right now, like a festival was going on.

And he was about to help lead a military expedition right into it. Naruto's mind raced trying to think of a way to end this without hurting anyone on either side.

"Ugh, why is it always so hard to be the good guy!"

Kurama chuckled "I'm sure you'll figure it out Mr. Hero."

"I don't really have time for your sass right now Kurama."

"Nonsense" Kurama laughed "There's always time to make fun of you!"

"If your not going to help me come up with a plan please keep your mouth shut" Naruto snapped!

"Fine, fine" the fox waved him off "I don't see what exactly is so difficult about this situation in the first place, just show a little bit of your power and scare them all off."

"But, I don't want people to be after me because of my power" Naruto groaned "I got enough of that back in the Elemental Nations."

"Baka" the fox bonked him on the head "what was the point of all that ninja training you did if you forget even as simple as that."

"What are you talking about?"

"Disguise use a disguise you moron! You literally have a technique that let's you look like whatever you want!"

Naruto facepalmed "I forgot about that!"

"Probably because you never once used the Henge like it was supposed to be used and only ever turned into naked women."

Naruto blushed.

"I mean there were points where I even started to question your sexuality."

"Kurama!"

"Not there's anything wrong with identifying as a different gender or being gay of course but, the clues always seemed to be there."

"Kurama!"

"You chased after a girl who you knew for a fact wasn't interested in you, ignored the girl who was so obviously in love with you that she's pass out whenever you talked, had absolutely zero sexual rections to all the erotic thing that pervy toad sage exposed you to, and to top it all off had an obsession with bringing Sasuke back to the village the boy whom you shared your first kiss with."

"KURAMA" Naruto screeched at the top of his to get the fox's attention.

"Oh, whoops I went a little too far there didn't I" Kurama awkwardly scratched his head while looking at Naruto's tomato red face.

"I little yeah" Naruto grumbled!

" . . . By the way when are you planning on letting go of that girls hand?"

"Ahh!"

(Line Break)

Meanwhile with Naruto's Clone had followed Adora to the outskirts of Thaymor.

"Okay the jacket comes off" Glimmer who had the strange sword strapped to her back tugged on Adora's arm.

"What why?"

"Be-cause" Glimmer got in her face "if the citizens here see a Horde soldier they'll flipp. So before we go in we have to fix . . . all this" she motion to all of Adora's body.

"I can't help but, feel a bit insulted right now" Adora sighed as she took off her jacket and unpinned her Force Commander Badge from it, and handed the jacket to Glimmer who promtly threw it in a bush.

"It looks a little bland" Bow observed.

"Which was why I wore the jacket" Adora mumbled while looking down at her plain long sleaved shirt.

"Put this on" Glimmer drapped a blue tunic over her shoulders.

"I feel like an idiot."

"That's because you need something to tie it all together" Bow started looking around "Ahh, here" he plucked a small flower from a nearby bush and put it in her hair.

Adora made a strange face as she l checked herself out "I don't like it" she squeaked!

"Doesn't matter Glimmer crossed her arms "The point is, you don't look like a Horde soldier anymore. Just try and keep a low profile okay, we'll be in and out."

The Clone who was hiding in the nearby bushes cringed when she said that, on the list of thing you should never say 'we'll be in and out' was just behind 'this can't get any worse' and 'what could go wrong'. Shaking his head he put his focus back on the strange trio who had just entered the town.

"What is this" Adora stared in awe at all the people happily going about their day?

"It's a festival" smiled "you know like a big party."

" . . . "

"You don't have parties in the Fright Zone" he looking shocked!

"OHH, right parties, yeah, pfft, of course I, uh- I have absolutely know idea what that is" Adora slumped.

"Mmm" Bow whined feeling genuinely bad that there were people out there who had never been to a party.

"Did you two even hear what I just said" Glimmer grabbed the both of them who had stopped walking and drug them forward. "In and out got it you two? In and out!"
