Chapter 2
My new school is just Ten minutes away from the house I'm staying. The transportation is not a problem. There are plenty of Jeepneys passing by the highway. In my case, Im exercising my sole, feet, legs and knees. Yeah, Im walking. I just love how the sunlight touches my barefaced in daylight.
Minute have passed, I'm already at the astonishing front gate of the University. With its silver color, it sparkles when the sun beamed its rays through the gate.
I walked towards only to be waylaid by the Security Guard. His built was strongly-made with dark curling hair, from forty to fifty-five years of age.
" Are you a student here?" He asked while eyeing me from head to toe.
My next move was to raise my eyebrow. I was a bit disgusted by the way he looked me. Well, I'll let his foolishness slide for now since it looks like he has no idea how big deal what's in front of him.
"Nope." I uttered lazily.
"Then you're not allowed to enter." He fearlessly said. Funny how this man will kiss the ground if I drop the bomb right now on his faces.
He motioned me to step out of the way coz I'm like blocking the way of the students entering the school.
I smirked. I love his spirit. The glances of students passing in front annoy the hell out of me. The audacity to stared at my face!
"Lady, if I were you. I'll start to walk my ass out of the way before our bosses arrived." He warned.
"Too bad, Im not you. And you will never be me." I said, perfunctory.
And you will never want to even dream wearing my shoes.
Suddenly, we are interrupted by a honk of a car.
"You better get out of here. This is not a playground."
He said with a strong conviction while pointing his finger on my face.
The audacity of this old hag!
"Ah, you're testing my patie---"
"Young Master!" Called out by the Security guard and ran towards at my back.
I greeted my teeth out of frustration.
I turned to them. A white car welcomed my gazed.
Shit! That was the Lincoln MKZ Sedan!
Inside it was a guy wearing sunglasses in this early morning. He was wearing a long sleeve white polo shirt.
A few seconds, the guy glances at me. Hereafter, he looked at the security guard. He was like asking something without saying anything. Then the guard looked at me. Was they're talking about me?
The guy removed his sunglasses without taking off gaze at me. I was too stunned for a moment.
That cold stare, this unfamiliar feeling. I think I've seen him before.
"You. Who are you?" He asked without showing interest.
"Who are you?" I said, emphasizing each word.
He smirked.
I knew it! Ive seen him before but Im not sure to where it was.
"You wouldn't want to know my name, Lady." He stared at me for a second before he start the engine of his car and drove off to enter the School.
'Who the hell are you?' The question lingered on my mind. Anyways...
The guard walks toward from where I'm standing, he was ready again to make me leave the place when I cut him off.
"I'm a transferee." I said and the bastard deadass just stared at me like I was joking.
"Don't play with me, pretty little bitch."
I chuckled. The familia never failed to amaze me when it comes to hiring people.
"Who hired you?" I asked. Confusion was all over his face.
"Their names revere, which clan are you from?"
He was flustered when my cold stare meet his eyes. He took a small step backward but he's trying to compose his self. He cleared his throat before he speaks.
"I'm a-asking you, which c-clan are you b-belong?" He said, stuttering.
"I don't belong to any clan." I vaguely said.
With that being said, it gives him the nerve to glare at me. But before he can even utter his word, I step closer to him. His eyes widen from the shocked.
I saw him my evil smile before I tip toed and reach his ears. "We. Make. The. clan." I slowly whispered, giving him time to digest every word I say.
I stepped back. He looked like a sheep that was tamed by a lion. He couldn't even raise his head.
"C'mon, wheres the spirit? I teased.
"Fo-forgive me Empress! I didnt know---"
"Now beg." I coldly said.
Luckily there're no people around. So he could save his face and so my identity.
Fear gave him the speed to bend his knees, almost kissing the ground.
I was about to touch his hair when he cried out loud.
"Empress! Show mercy on me! I deserved to die."
"If your life will be the payment, then you need a hundreds of lives." My words added fire to his anxious face. "You've just broke one rule of the code." His heavy breath became more louder.
"With my sin, I deserved to die!" As he said these words, with his eyes fixed on the ground, his trembling hand slowly moved down closer to where his gun was placed.
"Stop." Without breaking my gaze to him, I sat down.
"Are you willing to die?" I huskily uttered.
He nods over and over again in a faster manner.
I smiled bitterly. I get his gun to his hand and disassembled it.
"Then live." I stated.
He stopped nodding. I couldn't even hear his breathing.
With a confuse eyes, he looked at me.
"W-why?" He asked.
"To live is to die anyway." I said boringly.
I tap his shoulder and headed towards the gate.
I stopped then turned to him. "Lets keep this a secret." I said with a poker face. He nodded. " No one should know my identity." I added. He nodded again. "And by the way, I'm not the Empress"... yet.
==============
Valorem Academy is owned by my family. Since our ancestors decided to take us away to world of ordinary people, they build this school limited only for people who have the blood of any created clans of our family. Although, there are few student who studies here but dont belong to any clan. Ordinary people have the privilege to study here when they can present a pass card from one of our clans.
"I'm sweating already." I voiced out while searching for my handkerchief in my backpack.
The sun has risen so fast that could even roast an egg in a second. The prick of heat coming from the sun made me walk too fast to reach the hallway so I can finally have some shed. You can't see a single student in the hallway, maybe the class session started already. The emptiness makes me want to walk on it longer. But then I change my mind, I just wanna sit down on my chair and take a rest coz my feet was limping already from walking non-stop after I managed to enter this school.
I hurriedly run towards the elevator when I saw its door closing. I didn't bother to shout 'wait' to the person inside the elevator 'coz it will finally drained my energy. Luckily, whoever inside noticed me, I quickly took the lift.
Sweat was running down my face. 'Curse this day!' I should told dad I'll just take a homeschool study.
I kneeled down to fixed my untied shoe lace. I took some second to calm my pulse down and waited until I was breathing regularly again before I stood up.
I almost forgot that I wasn't alone in the elevator. I noticed this guy beside me when he sneezeed, not once but thrice. He has this curly hair that nearly covering his face and a sunglasses commonly used by nerds. In short, he looked like an emo nerd.
He then scratches his nose several times before he glanced before he looked at the ground. "Uh..y-your h-hand..." He spoke, stuttering.
My forehead wrinkled, waiting for his next word.
"My hand?...What?"
He was hesitating to speak, was unconsciously tapping his feet on the ground while adjusting his sunglasses. Instead of giving me an answer, he sat down.
What's his doing?
He was wearing an oversize wrinkly uniform that looks like it never touched by an Iron even once.
He stood up after.
" Here." He said, almost a whisper.
'My handkerchief?'
"Uh...wait." He said when my hand was half way.
He removed the dust on it.
"Don't bother." I said. I forcedly take my handkerchief to his hand.
'Shit. He didn't see the embroidery, aren't he?'
