First Task

After his first game Edgar was troubled. When he came to this world there was a sound in his mind telling him that he now has a League of Legends system. He honestly thought logging into a game would trigger a response from the system but it was not the case. He shook off his distracting thoughts and began to queue up for another game. As soon as Pick and Bans started there was a sound on his mind declaring that League of Legends System started. Edgar was ecstatic as he thought of the possibility of going professional and winning the World Championship with his favorite team. Edgar could not help but ask why the system was not activated during his first game. System's answer was, it had to evaluate its users skill level before starting any training. System's evaluation was Edgar could rank somewhere in high Platinum but that was his limit. He could not possibly reach Diamond without any improvements. When Edgar learned about System's evaluation he felt distraught. He was playing for more than 5 years in his old world and seeing how he could not even reach Diamond in 2015 Season. As the game progressed and more and more players began to play League of Legends, it was getting harder and harder to rank up as more players mean more people with higher skill levels than you. Being a Platinum 4 player in 2019 Edgar thought he could maybe hit Diamond in 2015. Sadly System's answer was no. He quickly gathered himself as system's sound rang again.

''Hit 90 percent of Q skill shots on champions using Ezreal. (You have to at least use Q 50 times)

Reward: Ezreal proficiency +1''

Edgar thought that proficiency meant he would play Ezreal to its real capabilities. He was curious as to what proficiency he already had on Ezreal. In his mind there appeared a kind of sheet of stats that showed all champions and his proficiency on them like this one:

Ezreal - 70

Vayne - 67

Lucian - 75

Caitlyn - 72

...

When he saw that he had 70 proficiency on Ezreal Edgar thought it meant he was not using Ezreal to its full potential. He assumed when his proficiency with a champion reached 100 he could use that champion to perfection. He would know every little detail about the champion by then, knowing how much damage it does with certain items at certain times of the games and reading the plays before it happens. With that thought in mind he picked Ezreal and started his game. Task would have been much easier if there was not a lower limit of how many Q's he had to hit. He was actually thankful that his account was Silver ll as it would be harder and harder to accomplish such tasks as he ranked up. He was against Caitlyn and Nami and his support was Fiddlesticks. He was thinking of using the same tactic he used in his first game and get level 2 first but Caitlyn was also pushing for it. They reached level 2 at the same time and there was no possibility of an all-in. While trying to cs perfectly Edgar would constantly move behind caster minions to find an angle where he can hit his Q's on Caitlyn and Nami. Killing a minion with an auto attack and immediately sending a Q through that minion was a simple tactic that was used in Platinum Elo. This move meant that opponent was not prepared to dodge as he saw that there was a minion in front of him. He thought that his percentage at that point was more than enough but after laning phase he wondered how he'd do. After laning phase he began to group with his team as five in Mid Lane as it was normal in this Elo to just group and fight as a team. Having a much longer range than other champions on the opponent team Edgar was just happy to harass them long enough for their health bars to get low enough so that they had to base or lose a possible teamfight. He was cautious about throwing Q's right and left as he had to maintain his percentage but one of the advantages of Ezreal was he could kite champions with his Q. This meant that when champions were rushing towards him, he could just throw a Q behind his back while running and it would surely land.Much like the last game he was able to carry his team since his actual rank was much higher than Silver ll and he began wondering if he succeeded or not. As soon as the match ended he heard a message from the system that said:

'Congratulations, you have accomplished the task and gained +1 proficiency on Ezreal'

Edgar was happy that he could finish his first mission without much trouble but he actually did not feel any different from before. When he opened his proficiency sheet to check he saw the change.

Ezreal - 71

Vayne - 67

Lucian - 75

Caitlyn - 72

...

He thought it must stack a few times for him to realize the importance of the proficiency points and notice the change in his gameplay.
