Chapter 22

"Are you sure about going there, Calix?" I asked him.

Before we leave, we went to other doctor to consult about my condition, it was Calix's friend which is doctor in pheromones and omega pregnancy. Just like what the first doctor, he said that I need to have contact with dominant alpha that I know to balance my pheromones.

"Are you sure I'm not pregnant?" I asked the doctor one more time.

"Yes, I'm pretty sure. And about those dizziness and gag feeling, I think you got it from overthinking and stress. I advice you to have a rest. " he said. "And you, Calix, you should treat your partner well. I can't believe that our most handsome hematologist is incompetent when it comes to taking care of his partner." He laughed.

I frowned. "Doctor, he's not my partner."

I saw Calix rolled his eyes. "Stupid, Hans. I'm his brother, okay?"

Doctor Hans seem realized his mistake. "Oh... pardon me. Hahahaha!"

Now, were inside his car heading to Laliona University. It's the university where Felix work as a literature professor. I was both thrilled and nervouse since it's the first time I'm going there.

"Yeah, why not?" He said while his eyes fixed on the road.

My shoulder drooped. "What if he tell our parents about me going here?"

"Don't worry I'll talk to him." He said.

I suddenly felt energized. "Really?!" I asked.

"Of course, so don't be bothered anymore." He said ang ruffled my hair. I chuckled.

I called out his name. "Calix?"

"Hmmm?"

"You smell like chemicals, I hate it." He laughed because of it.

"Bear with it, even I can't make a solution about it." He said.

I frowned. "Why?"

"Works."

My mouth made an 'O' shape and didn't asked anymore questions.

I know how serious he is when it comes with his work. Ever since we're little, he always dreamed to be a doctor. I still remember what he always tell Felix and I about being a doctor.

"I want to help people regarding with their health." Calix said while reading book about medicines. At the age of 13, he's already addicted with thag kind of books.

"Boo!" Felix booed him. "That's lousy! If I were you, I would choose to be a police! I'll my gun to punished all the bad guys in this world!" He said then grabbed his watergun. "Phew! Phew! Bad guys will never beat me and my gun!" He's already but still act like that.

"According to this book, only fools believe that bad guys can be punish just by using watergun. " Calix said while reading his book.

"Whatever!"

I was sitting at the sofa, just watching my two older brothers while they're talking. I can't undestand what doctor and police is, but I know one thing, my brothers are cool.

"Felix!" I called out. Felix went near me and patted my head.

"What is it, li'l bro?"

"Ask me about my dream too!" I said.

He chucked. "Oh yeah? So what's your dream?"

I cleared my throat. "Ehem! In future, I want to..."

"To?" Felix asked. I saw Calix quit reading his book and watched us.

"I want to... support Calix and Felix about their dreams!" I said happily. "And we'll live together until we age!"

Felix stared at me and then patted my head. "Wow! That's great! But Kyle, you should choose between me and Calix."

I frowned. "Why would I choose?"

Felix sighed and sat beside me. "Because Kyle, we have different dream. If you want to support me, you should be a policeman like me! If you want to support Calix, you'll either be a doctor or a nurse. "

I pouted. "Then I can't really support both of you?" I felt sadness gushed into me.

Felix pulled me into hug. "Awww! It's okay! Calix can handle himself, so just choose me!"

Felix rubbed his cheek with mine which made me giggle. "Felix! Stop it! Hahahaha!"

"Noooo! Rawr!" He said and started to tickle me.

He's still tickling me when we heard noise from Calix direction. We looked at him, he still had the serious look on his face.

"Stop that Felix." He said then walked to us. He stole me from Felix. "Kyle, will choose me. Right, Kyle? You'll be a nurse in the future and together, we will cure every illness in this world."

I don't know what he's talking about but I just nodded. "Yes!"

"What?! No! Kyle's mine!" Felix grabbed my hand. "Listen to me, Calix! I'm older than you!"

"But you're stupid." Calix said then grabbed me to the kitchen. "Kyle, let's eat some pizzas."

"Pizza! Okie!" I smiled at him.

"How dare you! Don't steal Kyle away from me!"

Our childhood was pretty great. We made promises and plans for our future together. But sadly, my brothers chose different paths without me.

Calix pursued his dream about being a doctor, while Felix, although he didn't became a police, he still chose what his heart desires. Being a teacher.

'I feel so left out...'

It took us 20 minutes before arriving at the university.

"We're here." Calix announced.

This isn't my first time coming here, but the sight of college students roaming around like this made my heart excited. Although it's weekend, there's still a lot of students at the university.

"Wow..." I can't help but to uttered..

I was looking at the window when Calix spoke.

"Liking the view?" I nodded. "Come on, let's go to Felix."

"Okay." I said then tried to removed the seatbelt but it got stucked. "Shit..."

I was busy removing the seatbelt lock when Calix's hand held mine. I lifted my head and I noticed how close he is to me. Now, I can clearly smell his awful scent. I hate it, I admit but I still can't move my eyes away from Calix. He's so close that I could even see the moles he has on his face. Those moles looks attractive especially the mole on the left side of his lips. It was so small and it's cute. I could even smell his breath. It smells like menthol from cigarette.

"Sorry, this seatbelt locks like this sometimes." He said. I ignored that.

"I thought you already quit smoking?" I asked him. He was busy helping me unlocking the seatbelt, he didn't even notice that I'm looking at him.

He looked at me also. "I don't smoke often. I just feel stress these day that's why I smoke." His face is few inches away from mine.

I clicked my tongue. "You're a doctor yet you're ruining your health."

I heard him chuckled. "You talked like mother, so nosy."

I frowned. "I'm just worried about you." I said and pushed him away. I held the seatbelt once again at pulled it hard, this time, it detached from it's lock. "I'm sorry if I'm meddlesome." I said then tried to open the door but Calix stopped my hand.

"Don't be mad about it, Kyle. It's a joke." He said, I wriggled my hand but he didn't let me go.

"Let go, Calix." I said while loking at him with dagger like stares.

He sighed. "Okay, okay. Fine, I'll stop smoking. Don't be mad at me, please?"

I gritted and rolled my eyes at him. "Fine, now let go." He did followed me.

"Brat." He said then grinned wide. "Let's go before you throw a fit again."

Calix and I were heading to the teacher's lounge to look for Felix. We received weird stares from students we passed through. They kept on murmuring about us.

"Isn't that Prof. Garcia's twin?"

"Yeah! He's so hot! But I wonder who's that pretty guy with him."

"Same! He's cute!"

'Tsk. So annoying. Can't they keep their mouth shut?'

I'm really annoyed with those murmured around. I frowned when I noticed Calix suppressing his laughter.

"What's funny?" I said with irritation present in my voice.

"You, you look like pissed kitty." He said. I gritted my teeth and punched his arms. "Ouch!" He complained but he looked like having fun.

"Kitty? Bullshit."

Calix chuckled and put his arms at my shoulder. "Why are you like that? Still pissed about earlier?"

I removed his arms around me. "Don't touch me, I hate your smell." He chuckled again because of it.

"You're so grumpy, where's our sweet li'l bro, huh?"

This is so unusual of him. Before, he show no emotion at all. He's stoical awkward kid that chose books over toys. This is so new of him. I maybe not been with him that long but I can feel how he changed. He chuckled more often unlike before. Although, he still had his poker face expression.

Calix changed, I wonder if Felix changed too.

I hissed at him. "You left that Kyle, right?" I whispered.

'I changed, Calix. I did because of you and Felix.'

"Huh? What did you said?"

I shook my head. "Nothing, let's hurry up."

I sound so pitiful thinking over the past. It's been 8 years but I can still remember the day they left me. That day, I begged them not to leave. They're all that I have. They're not just my brothers, they're also my bestfriends but they still did left me.

"Calix! Felix!" I called them out. They're fixing their stuffs.

The twins turned 18 two months month ago, a week before their graduation. After that, they announced about moving out of our house. At first, I didn't care about it because I know mother and father won't allow them. They're pretty protective about us, so I assumed they wouldn't allow them. But they did, now, the twins were packing their stuffs to move in to their house at Laliola.

"Hey, Kyle." It was Felix. "You're here to help us?"

I shook my head. "No!" I went to their bags and undid the locked. I started to remove their clothes from it.

"Kyle! What are you doing!" Felix yelled and stopped me.

"No! Why are you stopping me?!" I said and pushed him. I threw those clothes away, I made sure that there'll be nothing left.

"Kyle, stop it!" Felix held my hands. "What the fuck are you doing?!"

That moment, my tears started to fall. "I'm stopping you! This is foolish! You and Calix are going to leave me!" I sobbed. "You said you'll never leave my side? But what's this? What's this stuffs? This bags? That house at Laliola?" My tears were like falls, it's falling non stop.

"Kyle, listen." Felix made me face him, he held my shoulders tight and I can't moved. "We told you our dreams, right? We're going to achieve that dream, Kyle. And that dream is in Laliola."

I looked at him with pleading eyes. "W-Why there? C-Can't you achieve your dreams here in Rewick? Can't you have that dreams here with me?"

Felix just stared at me, can't find words to answer, so I removed his hands at me and started to unpack their things.

I spoked while unpacking. "You're so selfish. You're leaving me for just a dream? You're going to achieve them without me? I thought you are my brothers? Brothers don't leave each other. You're selfish Felix, you and Calix."

"Kyle..." Felix whispered.

"Just take me with you guys!" I plead.

Felix shook his head. "We can't, sorry."

Calix was also inside the room but he speaks nothing. He's just staring at us.

I bit my lower lip. "Try to leave me, I swear to hate you forever." I said. I'm still crying, I was wiping my tears away when someone's hands remove the clothes from the bag. I was shocked when I found out that it was Calix.

"What are you doing?" I asked him.

"Helping you." He asked.

"Are you stupid? You pack that bag yet you're helping me unpack it?!" I shouted at him. "Stop it! I'm going to do it alone!"

I tried to stopped him but he didn't budge.

"Are you stupid? I'm here to help you yet you're stopping me?" He hissed. "Felix! Don't just stand there, help us!" He called out Felix.

"But..."

"Just do it." I heard Felix sighed and did what Calix said.

I can't help but to stared at my brothers who's unpacking their bags. Then I started to cry.

"What's this?" I tried to wiped my tears but it didn't stopped from falling. "Why? You're stupid! Calix, you're stupid! Felix, you're stupid! Why?! W---" I didn't finish my words when Calix pulled me into a hug.

I cried more because of it. "W-why?! Y-you... Y-you are so stupid! W-why?!" I was sobbing hard when I felt Felix embrace me also and tapped my head.

Calix whispered. "Sorry, Kyle. I promise, were not leaving you anymore. So don't cry..." he tightened his hug. "It hurts us whenever you're crying..."

I felt Felix nodded. I buried my face at their body.

"Do you swear not to leave me?" I asked and reciprocated their embrace.

"I swear." It was Calix.

"Me too, I swear." It was Felix.

That night, I slept with them. I made sure that they'll never leave me. I fought hard not to fall asleep.

"You can sleep." It was Felix. I'm laying between him and Calix. Calix is now sleeping beside me.

"I don't want..." I shook my head. They're embracing me, as their promise to me. Felix hugged me more.

"Look at Calix, he's sleeping already." He said. "Come on, we won't leave you."

With that, my eyes felt heavy. "Are you..." no, I shouldn't fell asleep.

"Goodnight, Kyle..." that was Calix voice. But he's sleeping, so why?

"No..." that was the last thing I remember about my brothers 8 years ago because the next morning, there's no more Calix and Felix. Those guys left me already.

Those guys broke their promise.

It took me 3 years before talking to them after that night. I was hurt and fooled. I trusted them yet they betrayed me. Maybe the other reason why I didn't go in Laliola before aside from being sheltered too much by our parents. They fooled me so they must accept that it's not easy to reconcile.

During that 3 years, they called me everyday but they didn't went home once. Our parents even talked to me to forgive my brothers but I didn't do it. I let the pain and the bruise they made healed first before talking to them.

I maybe forgiven them now, but I'll never forget the betrayal they did.

"I swear Kyle, that'll will be the first and last time that will happen, so please forgive us." Felix said.

"Trust us again, brother. I promise no more lies. We swear it with our hearts." Calix said.

We were talking through phone. This is the 3 time I answered their calls after 3 years of their nonstop attempt.

"You should because this will also be the last time I'll forgive you after you huge sin." I said.

If I only hadn't love my brothers, I wouldn't talked to them. But they did promised not to hurt me again and that's what I'm holding on because I didn't know what to do anymore if they did that again.

I hate lies and betrayal, most especially if the person who'll do that is important to me.

I bit my lips and hugged that person. "I'm scared... I'm alone... they left me..." I said while sobbing.

"Who?" He asked me while caressing my back.

I shook my head. "I'm alone... don't leave me..."

I heard him sigh. "You're not alone. I won't leave you, I promise." He said and made me face him. He wiped my tears. "Don't cry, I won't leave you." He said then caressed my face.

"Thank you... please don't leave me..."
