Arriving and The New Helper

Taka turned back to look at Snow who was on the phone arranging things to be ready, at the house when they arrived. Calling it a house was downplaying the sheer size of it. Emily had gone out of her way to make sure it was outfitted with everything Taka and Snow would want or need. That included a Chef and multiple maids who Emily herself had handpicked for these roles.

It had to be said that both Snow and Taka, didn't like the fact that there were other people in the house with them, as they couldn't do or act as they pleased. Thankfully the staff left at the end of the day otherwise the two would probably end up going crazy. It wasn't like they didn't like the people who worked there; the simple fact was they could act themselves when no one else was around, whereas, with other people there, they had to keep up a certain image.

Snow finished up his conversation and walked over to Taka.

"Everything sorted?" Enquired Taka.

"Hmm mostly." Snow sounded annoyed which caused Taka to frown.

"What's up?" He asked.

"It would seem Emily has added a new member to our staff, more specifically your staff." Snow replied with a sigh.

"You're kiddin', right?" he raised his eyebrow in disbelief.

"Nope. She's gone and got you a private secretary slash personal assistant, ain't she?"

"You're joking, right? Please tell me you're joking?" He asked, almost begging.

"She thinks it'll make getting to school and doing other things easier, she says it'll free me up a little."

"She does realize I have a pair of legs, doesn't she? I could just walk, not like I'm going to get lost." Taka replied sarcastically.

"You know she's only doing it because she cares."

"I know, still annoying though." He replied letting out a snort of air.

"You're telling me." Snow chuckled.

The car finally arrived pulling up next to them. Taka recalled the car in front of him, a Rolls Royce Phantom. It was a top-class car but he could only sigh to himself.

'I guess this will do, though I'd prefer it if Snow were driving. I can't have everything I suppose.'

Snow who was standing next to him was too busy glaring at the driver, to realize Taka's thoughts.

5 minutes passed.

The car was packed and they were quickly on the way to the house. The drive normally would take around half an hour but that was when Snow drove; with the current driver, it would take an hour at the very minimum. He would seriously have to have a word with Emily next time they spoke.

Bored out of his mind Taka did the only thing he could to alleviate his suffering, he slept. Only waking up when they finally reached home.

An hour passed as they arrived at the gates to the house.

Snow shook Taka lightly to wake him.

The gates opened slowly as Taka woke, the car steadily making its way down the long concrete road toward the house.

Soon the house came into view. Although this wasn't the first time he'd visited the house, he was still shocked at the sheer size and scale of it.

The large futuristic building sat comfortably on the top of a hill, the living quarters were covered largely by windows which overlooked Busan. The entrance to the house was wide and open. Small pools of water ran either side of the walkway leading to the main doors, bringing with it a simple elegance, that looked both professional and welcoming. Taka's favorite part, however, was the large expanse of green land and trees within the property. One tree, in particular, was his favorite. Situated at the highest part of the property, much like the living quarters it overlooked Busan but during the evening, the setting sun hit the tree perfectly making it a perfect place to relax and read. Many times he'd sat there with Fen and fell asleep resulting in Snow having to wake them later in the evening.

The car pulled up at the entrance of the house. The staff, maids, even the chef lined the sides of the walkway. Further down a woman could be seen waiting to greet the occupants of the car.

Snow turned to Taka to see if he was ready to leave the car, a nod was all he needed before the door opened and they climbed out.

House staff POV

-

The house was a fluster of excitement at the news, the young master was returning. Anyone who had worked at the house for some time knew just what sort of person the young master was. Cold initially but you quickly came to find him kind, generous and protective. Not to mention extremely smart and handsome. It was clear to everyone who worked in the house that the young master wasn't comfortable with people buzzing around doing everything for him but he gradually accepted it, knowing they had a job to do, though he always made sure everyone rested and didn't overwork themselves.

The Rolls Royce pulled up, the door opened and with it, the young master stepped out. A smile filled the entire staff's faces.

The young master was finally home.

Normal POV

The doors of the Rolls Royce opened. Snow stepped out first, straightening his suit as he did. Shortly after Taka joined him, everyone's eyes glued to him as he straightened his shirt. His hair blowing in the breeze slight flashes of silver reflecting the sunlight, his eyes glowing with his signature gold and silver.

Taka began to walk to the main doors of the house, the staff all bowed and greeted him with smiles showing their fondness. Taka returned the greeting with a large smile and a nod as he made his way to the house. Making his way slowly but surely to the woman blocking his path. Stopping in front of her. Seeing sight before him, he couldn't help but whisper in wonder.

'Beautiful.'

Her light chestnut brown hair and light brown eyes complementing each other, her lips almost screaming to be kissed; yet holding a cuteness as she smiled. A body any women would die for. Holding an air of elegance which only made her more beautiful. A woman, men, and some women would fight over.

Seeing such a beautiful woman, who he'd assumed was his new secretary, he couldn't help but think Emily was planning something.

Secretary's POV

-

Hi, I'm Kim Mi-so and today is the first day of my new job working for the Harper Institute. My new job role is to be the secretary slash personal assistant to the young master, Taka Everlast.

I've worked as a secretary for a few years but this is the first, for such a huge company.

So as I was saying this is my first day and I had no idea what to expect but one thing I definitely didn't expect was what was currently standing before me.

A tall, black-haired, gold and silver-eyed god. If you think I'm being overdramatic you try looking at him this closely. Even the man standing next to him, who I assumed was Mr. Snow was by far, too good looking to be human. Like seriously had I fallen into a movie, this was unreal.

Unable to take my eyes off the one before me, I began to observe him and what I found shocked me further.

Normally young masters, of rich families, at least the ones I've met, are rude, lazy, immature, spoiled brats, that aren't particularly good looking, However, the one standing before me, was like a new species to me.

He appeared polite, mature, unbothered by his status as a young master and most importantly, he was otherworldly handsome. Okay, that isn't the most important thing but it definitely makes my job more enjoyable, I mean come on, who doesn't like looking at beautiful people.

Anyway, as I observed him, he reciprocated in kind. Watching my every action and inaction. His eyes held no lust like I was used to seeing, only curiosity filled his eyes.

This was a first for me.

I might be blowing my own horn here but I can say without a shadow of a doubt, that I am beautiful. It was one of the main reasons I'd gained many a secretary's jobs. Don't get me wrong I'm good at my job, very good at my job in fact but most CEOs want a pretty secretary to show off in front of other CEOs, it boosts their ego I guess.

Continuing to observe the man before me, I suddenly noticed the curiosity in his eyes fade, only to be replaced by a gentle smile that filled me with more warmth than I'd felt since I was a child. He spoke in a whisper but I still heard him as his voice rumbled in my ears.

"Beautiful."

My eyes widened in surprise, as did Mr. Snows. Apparently this wasn't normal, though I couldn't help finding myself pleased by the heartfelt compliment that held no ulterior motive.

Steading my mind a gentle smile filled my face. Preparing to introduce myself.

-

Normal POV

-

The woman standing before him smiled before she began to introduce herself.

"Hello, It's nice to meet you. I'm Kim Mi-so and I'll be working as your secretary slash personal assistant from now on." She finished her introduction with a low bow.

While Taka watched her, he couldn't help but smile. Originally he didn't like the idea of a secretary, as he thought it would be annoying, but he had a weird feeling the secretary Kim might be different.

"I'm Taka..." He introduced himself and thumbed back at Snow.

"....and the Oldman behind me is Snow." "Oiii, I'm not that old." Shouted Snow.

"Well, start acting your age then." Taka retorted back. The staff just laughed seeing this play out, which surprised Secretary Kim.

"Anywho, it's nice to meet you Secretary Kim, I hope we get along." Taka finishing his introduction returned the bow. Standing up straight Taka turned to the Chef.

"Now, how about some food Mr. Chef, I'm starved." "Of course, young master." The Chef replied with a chuckle. Taka began making his way toward the kitchen chatting and laughing with the staff, while Secretary Kim stood rooted to the ground, not quite understanding what was going on, Snow looked at her in sympathy, knowing exactly what she was going through.

"It's a strange sight, isn't it?" Snow asked.

Secretary Kim's eyes shot to him. "What just happened?" Her voice trembling.

"That's just how Taka is. He just has that effect on people."

"B-b-but isn't he meant to be a young master?" Secretary Kim shuttered.

Snow raised an eyebrow in slight confusion. "And?"

"Shouldn't he act like a young master? What about the image of the business?" She asked in uncertainty.

Snow laughed loudly, hearing this.

"You've met the boss, right?" asked questioningly.

Secretary Kim nodded.

"What did she tell you?" Asked Snow.

"That he was a prodigal genius, one of, if not the greatest mind in the Harper Institute."

"Anything else?"

"Hmm, only that despite all of his maturity and intelligence, at heart he was still a child, that needed someone to rely on every so often." Secretary Kim spoke recalling what Emily had told her.

Snow sighed.

"That's true I guess, but don't let him hear you say that. He hates being called a child." Finishing with a chuckle.

"So what exactly is my role here?" She asked.

"You're his personal assistant and carer to a certain extent, be there if he needs you, make sure he eats and doesn't overwork himself, though I doubt he will. Basically be someone he can rely on. Anything you can't handle on your own, come and ask me, I'll help....." Snow pondered for a moment.

"... And don't give him any special treatment, try to treat him like you would a younger brother."

"How can I treat him like a younger brother, when he looks 19 and is possibly the most handsome man I've ever seen." She mumbled to herself, not knowing Snow had heard her.

"You'll get used to that eventually, don't worry." Snow said while chuckling to himself, as Secretary Kim blushed up a storm.

"I suppose we should go and see what trouble he's causing."

Entering the house, they walked to the kitchen only to hear laughter filling it. Taka was too busy singing and dancing with the Chef and staff to realize anyone new had walked in. Seeing the scene before her, Secretary Kim couldn't help but find herself looking forward to the future this job would bring.
