Transfer Student

Inside the classroom.

The room lite with the noise of teenagers chatting and playing around. However, not everyone in the room was enjoying the free period between classes. One of the people making it abundantly clear that he hated being in the same room, as the weaklings that called themselves, his classmates.

The other person not enjoying this free period showed no signs of her discontentment. Chatting and smiling with her classmates only wishing this free period would come to an end sooner rather than later. Her discontentment growing greater when the class bully decided it was her turn to be picked on, making her vacate the classroom.

A thought ran through both of their heads.

'Could this day get any worse?'

-

The teacher walked into the classroom and tapped on his podium trying to quieten the class. When he discovered it wasn't working he applied a simpler approach.

"Quieten down, quieten down, I've got some important announcements you need to hear. Sooner you quieten down the quicker you can hear them."

The class now quiet, he began the announcements.

"The headteacher wants me to inform you that there will be increased police activity around the school due to the recent disappearances in the area. Try to go home in groups if possible, Okay?" He asked the class.

A resounding yes was his reply.

"Now on to a less serious announcement, we've got a new transfer student joining us..." Before he'd finished speaking the class burst into commotion. Both guys and girls discussing whether their new classmate would be a girl or boy, how handsome or pretty they might be and whether they were rich or not. Looking at his class the teacher couldn't help but sigh. This was his class. He shook his head before continuing.

".... he's from overseas. so help him out if he doesn't understand somethings..."

'Though I doubt he will.' He thought.

".... and do try to be nice." He added finally.

Finishing the announcements, he called Taka in.

"You can come in now."

The door slid open, Taka entered causing the entire class to become silenced.

Shocked eyes stared at Taka. The class couldn't believe what they were seeing. The person before them was by far the most handsome person any of them had ever seen.

In all fairness, Taka was handsome, almost divinely so. His growth over the last 4 years was substantial, to say the least. The immaturity in his face had begun to fade leaving a chiseled jawline. His gold and silver eyes only complimenting his already near-perfect features, framed by his obsidian black and silver hair, giving him a sense of otherworldliness.

If this wasn't enough, his body now gave off the presence of power and confidence. Due to attribute increase and all of his sparring with Snow. His height had reached just over 6 feet making him irregularly large for a mere 14-year-old.

All of this added together, made him one godlike man before mere mortals, like his new classmates.

They all thought he couldn't get any better, that was until he started to speak.

"It's nice to meet you all....."

He paused scanning the room

".....the names Taka Everlast I'll be starting in your class from now on….."

Stopping to look around again, a smirk now occupying his face.

"...… Hope we can get along."

Silence now suffocated the room.

The combination of his voice and his smirk melted the minds of his new classmates.

Knowing that his class would be glitched out for a while longer, Taka turned to his teacher to ask where he would be sitting.

The teacher pointed out his seat in the back of the room, closest to the window. When he was about to make his way to his seat, the teacher pulled him to one side and warned him not to get close to the student that would be sitting in front of him.

One, Ryu Kang-Joo, the designated delinquent of the class, known to everyone in Busan to be highly violent and uncontrollable. He was so bad in fact, even the police chose to avoid him.

The teacher also didn't forget to mention that Ryu Kang-Joo's family was poor, knowing that Taka came from a pretty powerful background.

Taka pretended to listen as the teacher continued to slight his fellow classmate, nodding at the right intervals, answering yes to certain questions the teacher asked, while still ignoring everything he said. By the end of the teachers 'Advice', Taka had lost any and all respect he had for the man.

He was finally allowed to go to his seat but the teacher had spoken for so long that the free period had already ended and lunch had begun.

Hearing a new foreign transfer student had come, students from other classes had come to investigate only to be left speechless at the sight of Taka.

Making his way to his seat he couldn't help but smirk to himself while glancing back at his 'Teacher'.

'Time for some fun.' He thought.

Almost at his seat, he stopped, turned to the rumored uncontrollable member of the class and smacked his table, causing everyone in and outside of the room to gasp.

Ryu Kang-Joo stood and glared at Taka, appearing to be ready to rip his head from his body. Taka wasn't bothered in the slightest as he returned the glare.

The face-off continued for what felt like centuries for everyone else in the room but in reality, it was mere seconds.

Time passed as the seconds ticked by and slowly the glares changed into smirks.

"It's been a while, hasn't it Kang-Joo?" Taka's face was filled with happiness as he smiled.

Ryu Kang-Joo, the violent, uncontrollable delinquent simply chuckled and returned the smile.

"That it has. How have you been my friend?" His voice filled with concern. It was Taka's turn to chuckle.

"You know me, Jojo, I'm invincible." Taka said his smirk once again returning. Kang-Joo snorted at the nickname Taka had given him when they first met.

"You're still using that nickname huh?"

"Obviously." Taka answered completely serious.

Kang-Joo sighed.

"Whatever, not like I'm gonna change your mind....." He paused to chuckle and patted Taka's shoulder.

".....shall we go for lunch? I'm starving."

"Are you treating? It's my first day after all and you are older than me." Taka asked blinking, doing his best puppy impersonation.

"Like you've ever cared about whose older. If I remember correctly, it was always you looking after me a few years back...." Memories filled his mind. He couldn't help but look at Taka in gratitude.

"...but as it's your first day I'll treat you. If I don't you'll tell my mother I've been bullying you." Kang-Joo said, some fear filling his voice at the thought of his mother yelling at him. Don't get him wrong he loved his mother but she was one scary woman when angered or when it concerned Taka.

Finding out Kang-Joo was treating him, Taka yelled out in joy.

The pair left the room laughing, leaving everyone else, shell shocked at what had just happened.

The Great, violent, uncontrollable, Ryu Kang-Joo had a friend.
