Rooftop Preparations

Walking off they made their way to the canteen. While all of this was taking place, the teacher's room was full of nervous energy at the fact that the newly transferred genius was actually friends with the most notorious delinquents in the area, if not the whole country. The headteacher was flummoxed, he had no idea how to handle the situation; let alone control it. He paused to think, the only way he was going to control the situation was to bring the parents and guardians of the pupils into the school but even then he was having second thoughts.

Kang-Joo was the easiest to deal with. He belonged to a single-parent home, with only his mother being able to work, his father died fighting a war that he had no place taking part in. They weren't exactly well off, in fact, it was fair to say they were quite poor. This made dealing with Kang-Joo's mother surprisingly easy for the headteacher as he merely had to pressurize her into agreeing to his points. Taka, on the other hand, was a whole other matter entirely. He was a genius, so the headteacher and the school couldn't afford to offend him. If that wasn't bad enough, Taka had some very powerful backing, again people who the school wouldn't dare offend. In short, Taka was untouchable. Kang-Joo, on the other hand, was easy pickings.

The headteacher called his secretary in and asked her to call both Kang-Joo's mother and Secretary Kim for a meeting at the school. The meeting was arranged to take place an hour later.

While all of this was taking place, the mismatched trio were sitting enjoying themselves on the rooftop. How did they end up on the rooftop you ask? After they'd entered the canteen to fetch their food, Taka had realized how many eyes were on them and decided to eat elsewhere.

It was quiet, sitting on the rooftop. A light breeze blew, the sun was warm yet not overpowering. So-Hyun rested her back against Taka's chest while she ate. Kang-Joo sat next to them with an almost perceivable smile on his lips enjoying the company of his friends after what felt like an eternity. That was until the quiet was interrupted by Kang-Joo's phone ringing. He sent an apologetic look toward Taka and So-Hyun before looking at who the caller was. Noticing who was calling he became confused.

"Hmm?"

"What's up?" So-Hyun asked.

"It's my mom."

"Your mom?" Kang-Joo nodded.

"Why's she calling you at this time of day?" So-Hyun asked a little stumped. Kang-Joo shrugged.

"Answer it." Taka pitched it sounding half asleep.

Kang-Joo accepted the call.

"Hi, mom, what's up?"

"What did you do this time?"

"What do you mean? What did I do?" He asked confused while shooting So-Hyun a look. She quickly pointed at his phone making him put it on loudspeaker.

"I've been called to see your headteacher. What did you do?" Kang-Joo's mom now started to sound irritated. Kang-Joos face soured wondering why his mom was called.

"Honestly Mom, I haven't done anything today. Have they told you why they've called you in?"

"Obviously not, otherwise I wouldn't be asking you would I? They only told me it involved another student and that his guardian would be in the meeting too." So-Hyun's and Kang-Joo's eyes quickly moved to look at Taka. His eyes were closed but he was listening, his smirk made that apparent. Both of them now understanding what was going on and who the other student was.

"Mom, I promise you, I've done nothing wrong but I've got a feeling I know what this is about. Just go to the meeting they'll probably end up calling me there too, so just let me handle it, okay?" He waited for her answer.

"You're not lying to me, are you?" She asked slightly worried.

"No Mom, just trust me on this one, you might even be surprised." He said finishing with a little chuckle.

Kang-Joo spoke to his mom for a while longer before saying his goodbyes.

He turned to Taka and So-Hyun.

"You heard that, right?"

One of Taka's eyes opens slightly to look at him before he shut it again.

"Hmm, don't worry about it..." He paused before continuing.

".... So-Hyun?"

"Yes?" She looks up at him, still leaning against his chest.

"Can you make some calls?" He asks lazily.

Her eyes widened in surprise. A smile appearing on her face.

"Will do."

"Kang-Joo when's the meeting?" Taka asked Kang-Joo. Kang-Joo looked down at his phone to check the time.

"We've got about 30 minutes until the meeting starts."

Taka's eyes open as he looks down at So-Hyun.

"Is that enough time for you to sort everything?"

So-Hyun tapped Taka's knee before standing up and pulling out her phone to make a call. That was all the answer he needed. Taka pulled out his phone and sent Secretary Kim a message telling her to send for him when she was in the meeting.

-

30 minutes passed quickly. It was time for the meeting.

-

Secretary Kim made her way toward the school with Snow. He was Taka's guardian after all, along with Secretary Kim. Pulling into the school grounds Snow could see a group of people waiting for them. Getting out of the car they were both greeted by the group and guided toward the room where the meeting would take place.

Entering the room, Snow spotted four people. Three of the were obviously teachers, the fourth, however, was a woman in her mid-thirties patiently waiting there for the meeting to begin, albeit nervously. Glancing at the three others in the room, a frown began to form on his face.

The first man he took note of was the headteacher, a short and ugly looking man who thought he was a lot smarter than he actually was. What made matters worse is the fact he was staring at Secretary Kim and the other woman in a particularly lustful way.

'I hope Taka doesn't spot him looking at Secretary Kim like that because he'll most likely rip him apart.... Who am I kidding, I wanna rip him apart, let alone Taka.' Snow thought.

The other two weren't even worth mentioning as far as he was concerned.

With everyone now in the room, the meeting could begin.
