Its Monday!
Its Monday!
The alarm from my phone rang loudly. Seven times it did and went to snooze mode.
Imagine me waking up like that. I didn't bother getting up. I'm bored as fuck.
I stayed at bed for another 5 minutes, then I heard a thumping of feet from the stairs to near my room. I know what it was, but I don't bother getting up. I covered my body with my green blanket. From feet to head. I heard my door knob click and my door creak as someone tries to open my door.
"Ben. Wake up.' Gosh! That's my Mom. "It's Monday honey and its Five in the morning."
That time I realize I'm gonna be late for school.
"Oh jeez!' I look at the clock hanging on the wall beside me. "Right. Gonna go take a bath!"
"Bathe quick Okay?. There's food in the dining room. I'mma go to the market."
"Sure thing." I replied.
As she is going downstairs, she shouted "AND GO TO SCHOOL!"
'Yeah yeah' My mind thought.
So I took a very quick bath--ten minutes to be exact. That's quick, I bath usually for Twenty-five to Thirty minutes.
I went downstairs all dress up. Wearing my White Polo required by the School and a Black Pants with my Rolex wrist watch and my Shined Black Shoe. Thanks Mom.
My Mom prepared me a meal that's healthy enough for breakfast. One sunny side up egg; 3 pieces bread loaf with mayonnaise and bacon bits. Though I didn't eat the bread as I decided to bring it to school so I can eat 'em during recess to save up some money.
Wait. Hold on.
So I save money now? For what?
My Mom left me some money to spend for today. Five Dollars to be exact. It's a lot of paper for a kid those days. I can buy anything I want. Of course it's hard earned money from my dad, I got that thinking of saving money all of a sudden that Monday morning, and for what, exactly. I don't know.
I grabbed the money from the table and close our gate. The only left in the house is our dog, name Conan.
Yeah! We have a dog. He's a poodle; a black poodle. I love that Doggo forever in my life.
Conan barks out of loneliness as it knows it will be left alone again.
"Don't worry Conan. Dad's gonna be home soon, alright?"
Conan bark twice. That's the reasuraing bark I remember. I walk straight to Don Julio Street and have a right turn at Don Bosco Street all the way to the exit of our Subdivision where guards are Twenty-four Seven on duty. I waited there for about seven minutes to ride a tricycle to school. My School is like Two Kilometers away from home, so I need to ride something to get there 'cause my Dad's not around.
I arrived at School unprepared. I know that for a fact that I don't really review my lessons, I just finish my assignments or projects and be on with what I usually do in a daily basis. I don't wanna tell to do it but don't, It's not a good practice.
It's 6:00 AM exactly when i entered the room, almost late. ALMOST! At the very least our first Teacher arrives a little late than me that day, like, Five minutes late. We understand that 'cause her home is farther than OUR homes.
Our first Subject is Math, our Teacher is Mr. Tate. I remembered Mr. Tate's rude behavior to us. Damn, and how he used to magically appear our grades on the report card. That's a hilarious story yet to tell.
The second Subject is Science, first Two heavy subject in the morning. 'That's great!' told myself. My mind is a little shaky right now. So Science is taught to us by Mrs. Tate, Mr. Tate's Wife. She's younger than Mr. Tate for 6 and quarter years, I think.
The third Subject is History, taught by Mr. Adriano. Now Mr. Adriano is a graduate of Archaeology, he knows a LOT of stuffs. You can ask him anything about history. Just that. No Math, no English. He don't want to speak in English, he wanted to speak using our mother tongue, Filipino Language "Tagalog". He wants us to learn to use that more often, because we often we forgot our own language.
Next is recess, MY FAVORITE SUBJECT. Period.
After recess, we go to our English Lab where we learn more about English than we should. You know, I thought that Subjects change over time, but English Language doesn't change, well, for our Curriculum. You learn adverbs and adjectives in Fourth Grade, you'll learn it again for the next eight years. How's that for a Subject?
The next subject is 'Pilipino', a special subject on our curriculum which is a sister-like for the English language.
After all that, the damn school bells ring and we can all go home.
That's sums up everyday work at school, but of course we are here in a different type of story:
What Happens after our school?
So that Monday, after School, I went to Vin's house to do assignments together. I did not went home, not until I finished all my assignments. When I went home, i opened my PS3 and play some games especially RDR, my favorite.
By Tuesday, I was with some of my classmate after School to the Mall, we went to the arcades and enjoyed until the Mall closed. My mom is really mad that day. Sure, I understand that 'cause I didn't told her about it, if I will tell her that, she won't even give me a chance to come.
By Wednesday same thing happened as Monday but less the game thing because we have a project to finish by Friday and we want to finish it by the next day, Thursday.
Friday is the DAY OF GLORY, where we are all smiling because it'll be the last day of an eternity loop for the week. We finished the project together and passed it on time. A whooping 98% Grade for the Project.
After School that Friday, I asked Sakura if she wanted to go to the Park, unfortunately she declined the offer saying that 'I has something important to do today.'
I said 'Ok. No prob! See you when I see you!' Then smiled.
She smiled back to me and walk out. That was a TOTAL REJECT. My first reject from a girl. Dang! That's tough to swallow, I swear!
The weekend is coming. I've saved enough money for something, not for me but for somebody else.
