The screen was full of lines and candlesticks. The London market opening was here and Razor was determined to win it all back. Yesterday, he lost twenty pips to the federal bank but today, there was a chance cover his loses, plus interest. Forex trading wasn't meant for the weak. Losing a little money wasn't a big deal when there was a big fish to catch.
Razor paid close attention to the bank president's speech while keeping an eye on the charts. Observing where the market sentiments were going on a lower time frame, Razor waited.
"… the bank will to retain its nominal interest rate for small and medium businesses and extend the repayment period by six more months…"
Hearing this, he abandoned the selling idea and placed a buy order, watching as the markets took him higher. Fingers shaking but holding steady on the mouse, his eyes were trained on the candlesticks and the speech forgotten. With his heart racing, the twenty-nine-year-old understood. Failure wasn't an option.
4 pips, 8 pips, 10 pips… The market was on fire and Razor's apprehension became elation when it crossed 12 pips. With this, he could safely exit the market and with enough to cover his loses and make a profit. Yet, his mind told him he could still earn a little more.
20 pips, 22 pips, 18 pips.
The sudden drop was like a bucket of cold water. Could it be…?
12 pips. Razor quickly exited the market to protect his interests.
Checking the result, he only made a profit of 8 pips. Disappointed, Razor eyed the market and tuned in to the speech again. There would certainly be a new opportunity and when it came, he would be ready for it.
