Chapter 16: light and dark

"But I can't forgive them for suspecting Markus! Not to mention, we saw Charles-sama for the first time yesterday…"

Sophia was still salty about the fact that Markus got blamed for something he clearly didn't do so she spoke her honest feelings to her father.

((Yeah she's getting a bit too attached to me, I need to separate us as soon as possible or this will be a serious problem...))

Markus looked at Sophia worriedly, he was prepared to have the plot of the game changed because that's the only way for him to survive but if the course of this story spirals too much out of the main events of "fires of Valentia" this world might be completely destroyed and that will defeat the purpose of trying to survive to begin with.

"Sophia. There are many underlying things to what nobles do"

the marquis said, heaving a sigh.

"But even if that's the case, father don't you think it's unfair?"

With a heavy expression Sophia finally decided to open up to the marquis about her thoughts.

"What?"
