Chapter 17; Water

*Old people always poke me at weddings and say,"You're Next." So I started to do the same thing to them at funerals.*

I woke in bounds, chained to the unseen bellow me in the darkness that the light couldn't reach. A deep blue hue of colours swirled around me like a never-ending whirlpool. The light that penetrated the surface was weak, hanging on a thin thread of life hoping to extinguish the looming darkness that threatened to swallow us both whole. Strangely I could breath, but I could not move. I narrowed my eyes in confusion, why am I water? Why am I chained up? I was at home a second ago, asleep, but I'm a light sleeper so I should have noticed when someone or something pulled me into the water, especially since I'm sensitive to the sudden drop in- I froze as my mind went blank. I'm dreaming? How?! I've never ever dreamt before! Not even in my old life! My mind went blank once again as a giant creature the size of Manhattan appeared in front of me, it's golden eyes staring at mine in sadness, hope, weariness and... fear. I stared, I was usually cool-headed, I could think straight, but... my mind is simply blank when faced with a creature that is capable of simply inhaling and killing me with just that, yet... it fears me. No that is not right, it's fear is directed to the chains that bind me, to the surface, to.... to the unknown, I don't understand. I wish I did, so that I could help it with it's pained expression, I shook my head, it's a dream Khaleesi. There is nothing special about this.... but still, my soul is wounded, at least that's how my other mother described my inability to dream, I should not be able to see this. The chains rattles and began to pull me under, the creature gave a water parting scream that shattered my heart the instant I heard it.
