I lost my job

Samantha and Bryanna watched as the crowd gave way for the person to pass.

"Oh my gosh! It's the hot new guy!" Samantha squealed excitedly. "Yanna take a look at the new guy!" she said excitedly shaking her friend fiercely.

"Not interested, this pizza is soo good". Bryanna said nonchalantly wolfing down her pizza.

"You just finished the crisp grilled cheese sandwich and large bucket chicken, and now you are eating pepperoni pizza!" Samantha exclaimed looking at her friend incredulously. She was still eating her potato salad.

"It's not my fault, I'm so hungry". Bryanna managed to form a sentence as she ate her pizza.

"You glutton, I wonder how you still remain slim after eating all these food?" Sam mocked. "No wonder you have no boyfriend, who in their right minds would want to date a glutton". She said sticking out her tongue.

"They can't handle me, besides boys are useless, they will only ruining your life and control you, the only person that will love you and never leave is food". Bryanna said nonchalantly as she continued enjoying her pizza. Samantha gave up and just shakes her head at her friend tactics. She knew from the beginning that Bryanna hardly associated with anyone. She would rather stay in the library reading books than to go partying like a normal teenager. Many guys tried confessing to her but she rejected them all blatantly. Her sister, Britteny, or like they love to call her, bitchney, is a social butterfly. God knows how many guys she has dated. The only similarities between the two sisters is their eye colour, they both have unique light hazel eye colour. They are both polar opposite when it comes to personality.

"Oh my gosh! Why is he coming this way?" Samantha exclaimed.

"How would I know?" Bryanna answered nonchalantly.

"I'm serious!" Samantha exclaimed.

"Maybe your wish is finally coming to past, he must have fallen for you at first sight". Bryanna mocked. "I'm so excited for you Sam!" she squealed immitating her.

"You are definitely mocking me!" Sam pouted glaring at her.

"Obviously". Bryanna answered rolling her eyes.

"Excuse me ladies, I'm Jackson, do you mind if I sit with you girls?" the boy asked. Samantha was already over the moon, smiling sheepishly as she stared at him. Before she could respond, Bryanna already did.

"Nope, our table is already full". Bryanna replied nonchalantly without even looking at him. Samantha opened her mouth surprised as she stared at her friend.

"Hey, you are the girl that ran into me this morning!" the boy exclaimed.

"So what? Should I kiss your feet or bow to you?" she asked sarcastically. The boy was taken back at her word as he stared at her.

"Umm.. No, I'm sorry about earlier I was late for class". He apologize. "So can I sit with you guys?" he asked again.

"Yea, sure, we are already through". Bryanna got up. She signalled Sam to do the same.

"I'm Samantha, nice meeting you Jackson". She smiled sheepishly as she introduced herself.

"Nice to meet you too, by the way what's your friend's name?" Jackson gave her his signature smile as he stared at the ginger hair girl, swooning over him.

"Sam, coming?" Bryanna called as she glares at her friend.

"Umm.. Gotta go". Sam quickly picked up her bag and ran towards her. Jackson sat there as he watched the two girls walk away. He was surprised that the brown haired girl wasn't swooning for his looks. She didn't even stare at him once, she was the first girl ever to ignore him.

"She is interesting". He smiled slyly. "We will see how long you can ignore me, Hazel". He bite his apple fiercely as he emitted a cold aura.

"Bye Yanna, see you tomorrow". Sam waved.

"Now I have to go and find Britteny". She muttered. "I wonder where she is, school closed an hour ago".

"Bryanna!"

Bryanna turned around to see Rickky running towards her. She immediately started walking faster. "I don't wanna see him, there is nothing good he's going to say". She muttered.

"Bryanna.. Damn you walk so fast!" he said exhausted as he held her shoulder. "Look I just wanna apologise for earlier, I knew I was a nuisance to you and I'm sorry". He said looking at her genuinely.

"Apology accepted, now can I leave?" Bryanna answered nonchalantly.

"Come on Bryanna, I'm serious here". He said feeling hurt.

"I'm also serious, why are you even apologising? It's certainly not your style". She said pretending to contemplate.

"Bryan, let's go or I'm leaving you!" Britteny yelled as she walked pass them.

"That's my call, I have gotta leave". She said removing his hands and ran away quickly.

"You came at the right time". She said smiling happily as she entered the car.

"I wasn't saving you or anything". Britteny replied pretending not to care.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, sis". She laughed. Britteny glared at her before putting the car on reverse and driving off.

"So.. How was school today?" Britteny asked as the car slowed down to a stop at the red light. Bryanna touched her head to check her temperature. "What are you doing?" Britteny asked surprised by her action.

"Just checking if you are okay". Bryanna replied.

"Why the heck will you do that?" she glared at her.

"If I remember correctly, you have never cared about my day so why the sudden change?" Bryanna said nonchalantly stating the obvious facts.

"Can't a big sister care about her little sister?"

"Coming from you? Nope, except you want something". She replied. "So what do you want?"

"I'm going to Charlie's party tonight, I want you to cover for me". Britteny finally gave up and confessed.

"How much for the job?" Bryanna asked smiling slyly.

"Thirty bucks".

"That's too small, hundred bucks". Bryanna said smiling smugly. "No penny less".

"Ugh.. Deal". Britteny sighed. "You scammer".

"A girl gotta make money, if you were nicer to me I won't take hundred but fifty". She replied smiling smugly. Britteny glared at her before driving off.

"Kids! Come downstairs now! Dinner's ready". Catherina shouted.

"Mom you don't have to shout a lot, we can hear you". Bryanna teased.

"You little brat". Catherina laughed.

"Where's dad?" Britteny asked. "What's the occasion?" she asked looking at the many delicacies prepared by their mom.

"Your dad's getting a promotion, so we are gonna celebrate tonight". Catherina happily said.

"But the guest of honour isn't here yet". Said Bryanna.

"He will be here soon, both of you stop asking questions and sit already". Catherina said already tired of answering their questions.

Ding dong

"That must be Blake, I'll go get the door". Catherina smiled happily as she left.

"Guess no more party for me, Bryan give me my money, the deal's off". Britteny said.

"Sorry not refundable". Bryanna laughed.

"Give me my money!" Britteny yelled angrily.

"I've already told you, the money is not refundable, you know the rules". Bryanna smiled broadly watching her foaming sister.

"Hey girls, what did I miss?" Catherina asked smiling at them.

"Nothing much, we were just solving our own minor issues". Bryanna said smiling slyly. She signaled for Britteny to agree or else she will spill the beans.

"Yeah mom". Britteny replied forcing a smile. 'It's not over yet, I'll get you back'. She whispered to Bryanna.

'You can try', Bryanna whispered back smiling innocently.

"Let's start the celebration". Catherina said happily.

"What celebration?" Blake asked confused.

"Don't you have something to tell us?" Catherina asked smiling slyly. Blake started panicking as he stared at their smiling faces.

"No need to keep it from us again, just say it already". Catherina smiled happily. 'What the heck is going on? Why are they happy about this?' he thought confused as he stared at them.

"Since you guys already knew, I'll just say it". Blake said watching their expression. Taking a deep breath, he continued, "I lost my job".
