Part 2: Untitled

(Time: Unknown)

Inside a high class establishment, a busty woman was sitting down on her couch, watching TV.

From a cursory glance, everything within the room screamed wealth. Everything was of popular brands, making it obvious this woman was or her family was rich.

Scrolling through the channels with a bored expression, the woman threw the remote and pouted, "I still haven't found him, no matter how much I search, I can't find him. It seems I have no choice but to use that option."

The woman is a short, slender woman with straight blond - brown hair. Her hair is fixed in two hornlike ponytails, making her look younger than she actually is.

The woman is dressed in a black gothic dress that gives off a sense of temptation and innocence, an odd combination.

Her green eyes gleamed as she stared at the ceiling, while kicking her feet in a pondering manner.

"Misa, why not simply use your gifts instead of finding this man?" The voice of a shadowy being said as it hovered above Misa, looking at her with confusion and uncertainty.

Looking back into the eyes observing her, Misa wonders what they are looking at. Were they looking at her or her lifespan?

"I must meet him and thank him for what he did. Before Kira appeared, no one wanted to help me. My parents were killed, yet the police didn't do anything." Miss's red eyes glowed with anger, "Kira gave my parents closer. While I'm not sure this was intentional, it doesn't matter. I will be of service to Kira."

Rem looked at Misa with a hard to read emotion and said, "A shinigami died for you to have the opportunity to be here today. Yet, this is how you wish to spend it?"

"…"

Rem had told her about Gelus and what he had done for her, but that was it. Misa didn't have any sort of feelings towards him, other than feeling grateful that she gained her current abilities.

She felt kind of creepy that an ancient monster was staring at her, lusting after her. But compared to the humans she has seen, he was a gentleman.

Having feelings for someone but not imposing those feelings is something that is rare. Take for example the man that tried to assault her. He had an obsession with her, which would be okay if she didn't know of him or if he didn't attack her. When that obsession crossed the line, it became creepy.

To Rem's question, Misa didn't know how to answer it, so she didn't. No matter how you look at the situation, she was truly ungrateful. However, that's how she has always been. She turns an unfavorable situation and turns it around. This was no different.

Changing the subject, Misa spoke, "I already have four tapes made, I just need my friend to send them to Sakura TV. With this, Kira will have no choice but to take notice of me."

Originally, she didn't want to do this because, according to her, there can only be one Kira but it's difficult to find said person when they don't want to be found.

She also thought of looking at where the crimes first originated from and then narrow it down but since Kira's field of activities have increased, this was not a big help. Other than knowing Kira is most likely in Tokyo, there is no other information to go off of.

"Though I don't like you using my friends' gift like this, sending these tapes is smart. But what is to say you don't become Kira's enemy by doing this?" Rem doesn't understand Misa, this human is so dumb it is a miracle she hasn't been taken advantage of.

There is no guarantee that Kira killed Misa's parents' killer on purpose and there's also no guarantee that Kira will take a liking to her.

Kira has been without equal, so suddenly having someone with the same power as you would make anyone paranoid, let alone someone with unknown ambitions.

There are more reasons for Kira to become enemies with Misa than anything. Yet, this human cannot see this obvious fact.

It seems like Gelus died for no reason. There is nothing about Misa that Rem found attractive. Intelligence was low, beauty was high and charm. But is that what women find attractive? Humans are truly an odd bunch.

Misa didn't understand Rem's reasoning and it was hard for her to come up with a response.

She never considered herself smart and it was challenging to think like those who are smart.  Since that's the case, why can't she just be herself? None can beat her at that game, not even smart people.

Misa started to write names in her Death Note. She has been doing this, trying to draw Kira's attention but to no avail.

Her way of killing was different to his, which was done on purpose. If people started to notice that people are dying in a mysterious way, similar to Kira, they might link it to the Second Kira.

Eventually when this goes public, Kira will have no choice but to see her.

Rem looked at Misa Amane, with concern. She did not exactly care about Misa, she was simply making sure Gelus' sacrifice was not in vain. However, it seems it was.

The girl's obsession with Kira was the same as Gelus' obsession with her. That's not good at all. However, she didn't plan to interfere, Misa can live the life granted to her, however she wishes.
