Epilogue

Under the shade of an Oak tree, the gentle spring breeze went past me as I smiled. The sight of everyone's smiles and laughter filled my heart.

What used to be such a dead atmosphere now looked so alive. The previous wilted trees were now growing in such lush green color.

The manor which appeared monochrome now looked... Colorful.

I tilt my head, and leaning beside me was a man with luscious, white hair which seemed so similar to mine.

The smile on my face grew even wider while staring at him.

His face that looked so delicate and porcelain was now something that I could call mine.

"Aesop." He says while he hugged and burrows his face unto my neck.

"Yeah?"

"I can stay like this forever..."

The sweet nothings he said made my heart flutter as I felt butterflies in my stomach.

"Mm." I nod while merely staring at him.

He looks like a puppy like this.

The thought made me chuckle before hugging him back.

"Joseph."

"Hm?"

"I love you." I softly said before tightening my hug on him. I didn't want him to see my flustered face.

"Why are you suddenly tightening up? Hm?" Joseph probed teasingly before laughing. He easily breaks free from my "lock" on him and kisses my cheek.

"I love you too." Joseph says, snuggling again.

I quickly turn away as my face probably looked like a tomato by now.

"Look what we have here." A familiar voice made me look up at who was in front of me.

"Jack- and Naib..." I stare at the two of them before trying to hold back my laughter.

The two bickered like small kids while Naib was being carried like a princess. The sight amused me as it reminded me of, well... Us.

Jack shushed Naib for a second before he turned to me and Joseph.

"Vera has been looking for you for a while now. You should hear what she's gonna say."

"Ah? Where is she?"

"She's with Emily, I believe."

"Alright. Thanks."

Getting the information I needed, I quickly dashed inside to escape from Joseph and his teasing antics.

"Ugh... He's too much." I thought to myself.

Moving quickly through the hallways, my body stopped in front of a room that had purple butterflies engraved on the wooden door

"Aesop? Come in." Vera said from the inside.

My brow raised as I opened the door. Upon stepping foot inside, a strong aroma could be smelled.

"Tsk. Open the windows. The smell is way too strong it's nauseating." I nagged before walking towards the window.

"Ugh. That doesn't matter. Quick! Come here. I need you to make everyone smell this."

Stopping in my tracks, my line of sight headed towards Vera as I quietly stare at her.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Vera asks while furrowing her brows. "You know you're the only one I can talk to besides Emily..."

I raised a brow while looking at Vera with the "I don't trust you" face.

"..."

"Okay fine! It was meant for you. I was gonna make you ask them and..." Vera continued her incessant mumbling before finally realizing and stopped.

"Nevermind! Just keep it!" She said before forcefully giving a bottle of perfume and pushing me towards the door.

"Goodbye!" The door behind me slams shut before there was even time to protest.

...

I got kicked out.

Well, whatever.

Taking a whiff of the perfume, a look of shock plastered my face.

I mentioned something about the scent of xxx flower randomly, I never thought that she would've made a perfume out of it.

Storing my newly earned perfume in my pocket, I proceed to walk back towards the garden.

The long hallways made me rethink. So much has happened in such a short period of time.

The emotions that surged within me at first, which seemed so insignificant was actually a start to something my past self could never even imagine.

From my first meeting with Joseph to what was happening right now, the memories obtained were something I would never exchange anything for.

I shook my head to stop myself from thinking too much.

"Ah... All's well that ends well."
