New plans

We entered our inn and started going back to our room. The hall just as empty as yesterday. I brought up eating before going up to the room and everyone agreed. The food was still as good as yesterday and even Leana was surprised about why the inn was so empty. We ate and talked before leaving for our room.

Now that 3 beds were joined together there was more than enough space for 4 people to sit. We sat in a circle and started the discussion.

"How about we start with dividing today's earnings?" I asked.

Everyone agreed so we put all the money on the bed. This included the reward we received and the money we took from the pervert Alan.

When we poured out Alan's coin purse, it turned out to contain 22 silvers and 1 gold coins. 1 gold coin was equivalent of 20 silver coins! We were rich! Well not really. But it was much more than what we had before

"Wow that's a lot of money. Nobels sure are rich." said Cleo.

"This is 42 silvers and including the 13 from the reward, we have 55 silvers! We are rich!" exclaimed Turek

"Hold it people. We are not that rich. It just looks like a lot of money because we didn't really have much before. We have a lot of things that we are missing, such as armor, weapons and book for magic. All of this will cost a lot of money. In fact I don't think we are anywhere near rich" I had to try and dampen the enthusiasm since we didn't want to run out this money quickly.

"We also have that red gem," said Cleo.

I took out the gem and put it on the bed. I turned toward Leana and asked

"Leana, you know what this is? Is it worth anything?"

"No, I have not seen anything like it before. We can probably find out if we take it to gem store."

"That could be risky. We took this from Alan and someone might recognize it in this city. We can try that once we go to another city" said Cleo.

I decided to move the conversation forward since we couldn't really guess what the gem was for. "Let's continue if that is the case. So, what's the new plan?"

"We were talking about moving to another city to do quests. We need to find out what we need to do from the guild. We registered at this guild but does not mean we can work in any guild?" asked Turek.

"That's true. We will need to ask the guild about transferring cities" I nodded in agreement.

"Should we decide where we want to go?" asked Leana.

"Yeah, I don't really know what cities are nearby and where we should be going." Since I had no knowledge of the surroundings, I decided to let everyone know.

"Me neither" said Turek.

"Neither do I" said Cleo "I just came across this city after I left my village."

Leana looked around at us with shock and said "What? None of you know the names of cities near us?"

We all shook our heads.

"But it was your plan to move to another city!" exclaimed Leana.

"Well I just kind of assumed that there would be other cities nearby…." I replied a bit awkwardly.

"Sigh… alright. Do you guys know our current location in the kingdom" asked Leana.

Again, all of us shook our head.

This time Leana's sigh was deeper. Then she took a breath and started explaining the geography of the Kingdom
