Sleeping arrangement

I went into our room and found that Leana was talking with Sheila while Turek had already fallen asleep on one of the beds. I went to lie down on the bed that was still empty. Just when I was about to sit down Leana said

"Uh.. Cleo is using that bed."

"Oh.. which one is my bed?"

Leana pointed to where Sheila was sitting and said, "Sheila said that she will share her bed with you."

"Wha… what? But why am I the only one who doesn't get his own bed?" I asked indignantly.

"Well we have 4 beds and 5 people. You are the smallest person here, so someone had to share the bed with you. Cleo was going to do that but when I talked with Sheila, she said she wants to share the bed with you instead."

I looked at Sheila who was looking back at me happily.

"Uh… we still have the blanket we used during travelling… I will just use that instead."

I said that and started looking for the blanket. I found it in our supply bag and took it out. I saw Sheila looking at me with tears in her eyes. Is she going to do this every time? She already used this ruse once, I am not falling for it again!

I tried to ignore her and started looking for space to put the blanket. The room was bigger than the last one so there was some space in the corner. I placed the blanket there and was just about to lie down on it when I heard someone sobbing. It seems Sheila had started crying and Leana had started to try and calm her down.

"You can sleep on my bed Sheila! You don't have to cry because of Ren. He is really insensitive you know."

"I know he hates me… sob… sob.."

No no no no no… this can't be happening! She is not going to stop until I agree, is she?

I couldn't pretend to not notice her at this point so I got up and said "I.. I don't hate you Sheila. I am sleeping on this blanket because I like you!"

"Eh..?"

Sheila stopped crying and looked confused.

"Yeah! I am sleeping here so you can have to bed to yourself! This way you can be really comfortable."

I tried to use reason…. It wasn't very effective.

Sheila got up and ran over to hug me tightly.

"Ouch, careful!" She seemed to be trying to break me!

"Ah.. sorry! I didn't know you cared about me so much! You were going to sleep on the ground just to make me comfortable! I am so happy! I think I have never been this happy!"

"Uh.. ya.. Yeah. That's right! I like you a lot! So I am going to sleep here for…"

Before I could finish, Sheila picked me up in her arms, carried me to the bed and placed me down on it gently.

"You shouldn't sleep on the ground. You can sleep on this bed instead. You will be more comfortable here. I will go to sleep on the blanket."

She gave me a bright smile and went to sleep on the blanket. I looked at Leana and saw her looking at me disapprovingly. How is this my fault? First they decided on their own that I will share a bed with Sheila. Then when I found a way for everyone to have their own place, I am in the wrong? I looked to Turek for support but I saw that he was already asleep, or he was pretending to be asleep….

I looked at Sheila sleeping in the corner and sighed.

"Uh.. Sheila, you don't have to sleep on the blanked. How about… uh… we share this bed?"

Sheila sat up and looked at me with sparkling eyes. I was starting to regret this already. Sheila got up and sat down on the other side of the bed and looked at me with a happy face.

"Uh.. I am really tired… so I will go to sleep now."

I lied down on the bed and closed my eyes. The bed was quite small and we could barely fit in it. I was too tired to do anything about it at this point, so I just decided to go to sleep. I was really sleepy when I heard the door open and Cleo come in. I thought I heard her giggle but that could be just my imagination.
