Three days later, Kaname was traveling back to Konoha, in the distance, she noticed the heads of her favorite jōnins trio.
"What's up, Inoichi-san?" she greeted her old teacher.
"Look who do we have here, the Vampire of Konoha in the flesh, hahaha," the blonde laughed out. [AN: Undead, lots of blood, and disappearing in smoke clouds - you catch my drift? :-)]
"Guh, I hate this nickname… Who did start calling me that?"
"You should check the newest Bingo Book, Kana-chan. Check page 485, catch!" Shikaku answered her, throwing a small green book towards the girl.
"Hmm? How did they get my photo? Let's see. Bounty paid in Iwagakure, Kumogakure, and ...Mizugakure, what the heck did I do to them?! My threat ranking is only B+, shit. Nice to see they appreciate my skills in creating seals and iryōjutsu, but why the fuck I'm only a rank C at taijutsu? *Sigh* Chōza-san, do you remember what did I ask of you? I need your help with changing this ranking!"
"Hehe, let's just keep moving towards Konoha, I will give you some theory while we're at it." the red-haired Akimichi answered her.
"Sure! Thanks, Chōza-san!"
"The jutsu you saw multiplies my strength by a factor between 20 to 50. It's going to be almost impossible for you to recreate it, there are two established ways to use this technique. One is to take three special colored pills that my clan developed. The second one is through jutsu called
"Hmm, I think I know of one, but I will need a second person as my chaperone. I will just put a seal that will cut-out my chakra and put me under for five minutes, it would answer only to my chaperone's chakra."
"I see, it should be someone you can trust from the bottom of your heart."
"Don't worry, I have some people in my mind."
"Kana-chan, so who lost our bet?" Inoichi inquired, changing the topic.
"Hard to say, it is pretty much a tie between me, Anko and Misa…" Kaname answered, then her eyes became big with realization.
"I see you understand, neither Anko-chan nor Misa-chan were included in the bet, hahaha."
"Noooo, my allowance!..."
"Now gentleman, you know what to do," Inoichi said this in a sing-song voice, extending his empty hand to the duo.
"It's troublesome…" Shikaku said, passing the blonde some money.
"Yeah, who would know Kaname is such a masochist…" Chōza gave Inoichi some money as well.
"Pleasure doing business with you two!" Inoichi stated, hiding the money in his jacket.
"What the heck is going on?" Kaname asked.
"We did a double-bet, I knew your style of fighting. So I bet you would end up the most wounded. Thanks, Kana-chan! Hahaha"
"Wow, good to know my own Sensei has so much faith in me..."
Six hours later, Kaname saw her brother and mother near the gates of Konoha.
"Hello, Little Vampire-chan. I missed you." Sachi greeted, hugging the girl.
"*Sigh* Not you too, mom…"
"What's up, Little Bloodsucker!"
"... Revenge will be painful, Aniki"
"Hahaha," Ryuichi laughed out.
"I have got a new training plan, but I need a second person to watch over me. Can you help me, Vermillion Aniki?"
"*Pft*" Sachi laughed a little at the jab.
"I'm sorry, Little Bloodsucker, I have my training regimen, it will be hard to join you. Try asking someone else." Ryuichi answered her, he gave himself a mental pat on the shoulder, seeing Kaname's eye twitch when he used her new nickname.
"Damnit, mommy, let me guess, you will have to come back to the hospital?", Sachi nodded her head, "*Sigh* I will have to ask my teammates. Okay, let's go home!"

The next day Kaname went to the main building in her district.
"Hi aunty, how are you doing?" Kaname greeted Mikoto.
"Kana-chan! How I missed you!" Mikoto took her in a tight hug.
"How is little Itachi? I saw him some time ago."
"About that, we need to talk. Come with me." Mikoto pulled her head deeper inside the building.
She took her to the meeting room, where Fugaku sat upon a pillow. "So. Fugaku-chan, have you got anything to say to Kana-chan? Or you want another month penalty?"
"*Growl* I. Am. Sorry. For. What. I. said." he seethed out through clenched teeth.
"Hahaha, not a problem, I forgot about it already. By the way, aunty, how did you whip him so easily?"
"Heh, we women have our ways…" Mikoto answered mysteriously, "Now there is another thing, Itachi-chan is continuously coughing for the last month, firstly I thought he caught flu, but it takes way too long, can you help him?"
"I can check him, but if it's anything grave, he should go to the hospital," Kaname replied, following Mikoto to Itachi's room.
"Onee-san! *cough*" Kaname was glomped by a flying black-haired boy.
"*Shh* Don't scream when your throat is hurting, Baka!"
'Hmm, diagnostic jutsus show up only a sore throat and some phlegm in his lungs, is this really some kind of flu?' Kaname debated.
"Okay, I have got an E-rank mission for you, Itachi-chan, see this vial? I want you to spit into it, close it, and give it to me. Can you do it for your bigger sister?" the boy nodded his head.
"What's going on?" Mikoto asked.
"I don't know, maybe it really is just the flu. But I need to be sure, I will give you results in three days tops. Thank you, Itachi-chan." Kaname answered, obtaining a vial from Itachi. With a first look, she noticed small mists of red swimming in the test tube.
"Hmm, Itachi-chan, did you lose a milk-tooth recently?"
"Yeah, he lost his first-one yesterday," Mikoto replied pridefully.
"Okay, I see some blood in the vial, probably the residues. We will meet later, keep training little brother." Kaname patted little Itachi's head. "I need to go, see you later, aunty!"
"Bye, Kana-chan. I will wait for the results" the black-haired woman waved her goodbye.
Kaname made her way to the training grounds where her friends were sparring. There she observed a four-way-combat between Maki, Anko, Yugao, and Takeshi, Misa was the referee.
"Hi everybody, so how is it going, Misa-chan?"
"*Sigh* When they heard you are to become Minato-san's Guardian, they didn't want to be left behind, and here are the results..."
"What do you mean Minato-san's? Isn't it still under debate? Why are you so sure he will become the Hokage?"
"You didn't hear? Sarutobi-sama was mad at his old student for not bothering about all those casualties at Kikyō's Pass. He nominated Minato-san for the position." Misa answered.
"Fufufu, that'ss~ true, Misa-chan" Orochimaru spawned right behind Kaname.
"Hello, Orochimaru-san. I'm sorry for your lack of promotion, but what are you doing here, it's just a couple of chūnins sparring with each other?" Kaname asked.
"Yess~, I heard ssome~ of you are looking for more training. Pity, I wass~ not elected as a new Hokage, but I would like to take all of you with me outsside~ of Konoha for a year or two to insstruct~ you. Maybe with my tutoring, you will catch up with Kana-chan." Orochimaru enticed the group.
"I'm not sure-" Kaname started.
"I'm in, I don't want to feel so helpless again!" Anko interrupted her.
"Yeah, me too. I must protect Anko-chan from doing something stupid..." Misa continued.
"Fufufu, Maki-chan, Take-chan, do you want to go with me?" Orochimaru asked.
"Nah, it's too troublesome. I have my clan techniques to train in. Thanks, either way, Orochimaru-san."
"Kana-chan, I don't want to be so useless again, if I go, can you promise me that you will not do anything stupid while I'm absent?"
"The war has ended, I don't expect any life and death fights dropping on my head. Don't worry about me, I will miss you." Kaname stated.
"Yeah, me too. When I will get back, I reserve a sparring session with you! Someone needs to knock you down a peg."
"Sure, Bye-bye. Orochimaru-san, please keep them safe." Kaname requested hugging Anko, and Maki.
"Fufufu, as long as they will lissten~ to my orderss~ nothing bad will happen to them," Orochimaru assured, leading the group towards the north Konoha's gate.
"*Sigh* Yugao, what's your plan for training?"
"I have a little secret, I was drafted into ANBU corps. I will receive my training from them."
"Wow, nice! And you Take-chan?"
"I got myself a job as a south Gate Guardian, I don't feel like training anymore, it's too tiring."
"... I see, I needed help with something, but it's not important, I will look for somebody else. Good luck to both of you. See you later!"

'Hmm, Minato-san will have a lot of work, maybe aunty Kushina has some time?' Kaname reasoned out, making her way towards the Namikaze's estate.
"Hi, Kana-chan. How can I help you, ~ttebane?" the red-haired kunoichi glomped her in a tight hug.
"I need someone that can use seals and has some time to spare, I thought of you."
"Hmm, okay Minato has a lot on his head now, and I'm free, what do you have in mind?"
"I have got a new jutsu to train in, if things go wrong, it will put a lot of strain on my chakra network. I need someone that would use a seal that would stop my chakra from damaging my body."
"I understand, and you can't use it yourself because when shit hits the fan, you will be left on the floor writhing in pain… Okay, count me in, ~ttebane!"
"Thanks, aunty!" Kaname hugged her, " This is the seal, what do you think?"
"Hmm, you put many fail-safes in it, a good job, but what for?"
"Hehe, if you just inject some chakra into the seal. It will put me under for five minutes, this way only your chakra can activate this seal."
"Hehe, I have got a plan, ~ttebane!" Kushina laughed out with a dangerous smile on her face.
"Uh, I don't like where this is going. What do you mean?" Kaname had a bad premonition, some evil vibes were coming from her aunt.
"You have a pretty face and skin, Kana-chan. How would you like to play as my dress-up doll? ~ttebane."
"Ehm, can we talk about it?"
"Huhuhu, nope, Sleep!" Kushina used the seal.
"Nooo…" Kaname lost her consciousness.
