Knowing that I'm getting Married

Finally, I'm all alone here... No distractions and no jerks like that boastful guy. I was sitting in my room facing a mirror and combing my hair when someone knocked on my door. I looked at the door and asked "Who is that?" The door opened and I saw Xhanya standing with knights on her back standing like they are waiting for someone. Are they escorting Xhanya?.

"It's me Princess! It's Xhanya" She said as she bowed her head to greet me and show respect for a princess.

"Oh, Xhanya! Why did you come here all of a sudden? Is there something wrong? You did not come here for a few days, I wonder why." I asked while still combing my hair with a golden comb.

" Oh, I am so sorry. I am just busy serving the King and Queen."

"You look exhausted... Why? You're in a hurry? And...and what's with all of these knights?"

"Princess Junji, the King, and Queen of Xinching Palace want to meet their daughter-in-law and the heiress of Guishin Palace." She stated. I was lost. I cannot understand what Xhanya is talking about. I am an heiress of what? Guinea what?

"Then... Why are you coming to me? Do I know who is the one getting married? Is it my friend?" I innocently asked.

"It is you, Princess, you are getting married."

My eyes widen and my jaw dropped. I could not believe what I have heard. I am getting married? To whom and why!?

"Wait, what!? Daughter-in-law!? I am the daughter-in-law you are talking about. I am getting married to someone I don't know or met my whole life!? And what do you say heiress of..." I stopped combing my hair and felt like my knees got weaker that I cannot try to even stand. I was devastated.

"You don't remember? Oh... I forgot to tell you that you are going to marry the heir of the Xinching Palace. Your parents or the King and Queen of Xinching and Guishin Palace were very close and since both of the Queens were pregnant, they agreed that if their babies are a girl and a boy, they will marry each other at their right age." She said in a sweet tone. Like she is more in love than Junji.

"What!? Why...why didn't you tell me!? No...no I'm not coming..." I insisted.

" Princess, you must go... Your mother and father and the King and Queen of Xinching Palace were waiting for you. And also Prince Yuho Xinching."

"Yuho? Who's that?"

"He is the heir of the Xinching Palace and your future husband... Some people tell that he came here yesterday."

"What? That boastful guy will be my husband!? THIS CAN'T BE!" I protested. My hands are sweating so badly and shaking. I could not get married. I'm only 15. Too young for that!

"Boastful guy? So, you already know him?" She asked with curiosity.

I was still shocked by what information my brain is absorbing. What kind of punishment is this? Did I even do something bad to deserve this?

"Yeah..." I said. My soul is zoning out. How I wish I could just faint right away.

The knight on Xhanya's back wearing the most unique uniform among others suddenly interrupted our conversation he bowed his head while he was talking.

"I am sorry for interrupting but we must hurry Princess, King, and Queen Xinching and your parents are waiting."

I walk to where Xhanya is and whispered in her ear.

"Eh? Xhanya, tell them that I am not coming even if they drag me all along that what-so-ever called Palace okay?"

"But Princess...I...I can't" Her face got worried. I know it will be hard for her to do that. Knights have more rights and power than servants.

"Servant, you must take care of the Princess, help her wear the best dress that suits for the occasion today. We will wait outside for a few minutes only. Princess, you must now fix yourself." the captain told us then cue other knights that they should go outside.

"W...what? Fix myself!? Oh gosh! No, I am not going! And who are they to tell me to fix myself? Am I not beautiful enough?" I think they heard what I said so they came back and bowed their heads again.

"I am sorry if you misunderstood it, Princess. You are beautiful right knights?"

"Yes sir!"

"But what I mean is that you must look more than what you look right now." The captain of the knights added.

I rolled my eyes but then I appreciate their effort to make me calm down a bit. But this is a really panicking situation!

"Princess, come on now we must get you dressed and ready." Xhanya said. She turns her look to the knights " We will be back okay?" Then she gently closes the door. The Knights salute and then walked away.
