Finding the Truth

Aliyah's POV

I opened up my eyes and I was lying in my bed. My head still hurts and everything seems so blurry. I heard a voice saying "Are you alright Princess?" Ah, I passed out after a sudden urge of different flashing memories that weren't even mine that came up to me which makes me feel overwhelmed. They were Junji's memories. But I could not even remember them today. What were those memories for? How did that happen?

"Here Princess, drink this. This will make you feel better. This is tea."

I looked at this girl speaking to me and it was Xhanya, my servant. I took the cup of tea and drank it. It tastes bitter and I do not like anything bitter so I vomit.

"I'm so sorry Xhanya, I just don't like anything that is bitter." I said while still spitting the tea that is left in my mouth.

"It's okay. Do you now feel good? Do you want me to call master Quiba to check if anything's wrong with your head?" She asks.

"No, I'm good. I'm all good."

"What happened to you last night Princess? Would you mind sharing it with me?" Xhanya asks. His face is a bit worried and she looks a little pale than her normal color.

"Just, flashes of memories come flooding inside my mind. It felt like it was cutting my head into two. Everything is so blurry."

"Your memories are coming back? What memories are those?" She curiously asked. I can sense in her look that she becomes more worried.

"Why would you want to know?" I asked. It seems like she looked bothered when I spoke about my memories coming back to me. Then I suddenly remembered that I saw her in one of those flashing memories. I saw her near Junji's body and to that point of view where I remembered. Junji was lying in a rocky place.

"I am just so glad that your memories are finally coming back. That is a very good improvement and I just got curious if you already remembered how Prince Yuho loved you and how I became your friend." She explained.

"Oh, is that it?"

"Yes, Princess. Well, I need to go and ask the chef to cook some porridge for you to help you regain your strength. I'll be back. If you need anything else, Lili and Jiji are just there outside. You can call them and tell them what you need."

She bowed her head and then opened the door, leaving me in my room. I started to wonder and tried to remember these memories as much as I can.

"I really remembered that I saw Xhanya in those memories. Maybe because she was the only person that the real Junji is always with." I speak to myself.

I looked around my room and observed, then found books near the table. I stood up to look at them and there I found... Junji's diary. I read the diary page by page and it is just the typical diary where her day-to-day life basis was recorded. There are also some times when he explained how her date with Yuho went. She really loves her fiance. And there are also some pages where she talks about her day with Xhanya, her servant and close friend.

"I'm tired of reading this." Then I returned the diary to where it is in the first place and wait for Xhanya to come. I was really hungry and hoping she could come as fast as she could so I can eat my porridge.

The door opened and Xhanya appeared holding a plate of different kinds of food and side dishes including my porridge. Finally, I can now eat.

"Here, Princess." Xhanya said while putting down the dishes on the table. I get ready and eat them.

"T-his fwood is so g-ood." I said in a muffled voice. My mouth was stuffed with different foods.

"You look so hungry, Princess. But slow down, you might get choked." She said while she is trying to gesture to me to slow down eating.

"Okay. I'm sorry I am just so hungry. Feels like I have not eaten for how many days." I said as I feel ashamed of my actions.

"It is okay, take your time Princess. I'll go outside. If you need anything, call me." Then she walked away and stand outside the door.

I chomp all the food down once again after she leaves and finishes eating quickly. I was so full that I cannot almost stand. So I just sat there and let gases outside my body come out.

"Ah, finally. That felt good." I said after burping so loudly.

I was about to stand when again, memories come flooding inside my mind and it hurts so bad. I got down on my knees and hit the plates and silverware at my table which had made a loud noise and worried everyone outside. Xhanya opened the door quickly and saw me hitting my head with my hand because of the pain.

"Princess! Princess what is wrong!? Jiji, call master Quiba, quick!" She commanded other servants while she was holding me and asking me what is wrong.

"It hurts! It hurts so bad!" I yelled and scream in pain.

Then memories become a little bit clearer than before.

"Xhanya, why are you doing this to me?" Junji cried while she was sitting in a place where there are rocks and water.

"Because I hate you! I hate your ignorance and you acting so innocent about everything! It makes me feel sick!" Then she spits on Junji.

"What are these!?" I asked confusingly.

"What do you mean, Princess?" Xhanya's face become so worried and pale.

"Have your memories come back to you?" She added.

I looked at her and observe her move. She is bothered and sweating.

"Xhanya, I want to be alone." I told in a calm way.

"Why, Princess?" She asked. I can tell in her eyes that she was shocked and curious.

"I... just wanted to be alone. Tell master Quiba to bring me some pain relief medicines. I just wanna rest." I told her while I was getting ready to lie down.

"Okay, princess." She replied in a soft voice, then left.

I was so confused. Why does Xhanya hold so much grudge against Princess Junji. I thought they were close friends? What is the real and complete memory of what I have seen? I need to know.

Then flashes of memories came to me again. It sure hurts so bad but I need to endure it to know the real story between the two of them. Xhanya and Junji, how did you end up like that?

"What did I ever do to you Xhanya, how... How could you hurt me so much? We were friends right?" Junji cried as she was sitting on a rock near the water.

"What did you do?" Xhanya asked angrily. She then grabbed a piece of rock in her hand holding it tightly.

"I just hated you! I wish you were dead! I hate being your servant and I am so jealous of your life! I wish I could have what you have. I wish I could have Yuho, your mother, your father. Everything you have!" Xhanya aimed at Junji's head and suddenly, my memory is having a view of falling down and closing my eyes seeing Xhanya so shocked.

I catch my breath quickly. I could not breathe. The pain then slowly disappeared and I calmed down. I was sweating really badly and my hands are trembling that I could not stop it.

"Xhanya is the reason why Junji got into that accident." I said to myself.

"But... I thought Junji ran out of the palace and then got slipped into a rock and hit her head? Now I know that is not real. Xhanya hit Junji's head with a rock! But why did Junji run out of the palace in the first place? Did she discover something that Xhanya did?" I confusedly asked.

Master Quiba entered the room with medicines.

"Princess, are you alright?" Master Quiba asked.

"Yes, I think so..." I replied.

"You look pale, Princess. What are you feeling? Are you feeling dizzy and nauseous? Xhanya told me that you are having a bad headache."

"I feel dizzy." I softly said.

"Then, take this medicine. I will ask Xhanya to assist you with the time schedule of drinking it."

"No, just ask Jiji for it." I said while taking one pill out of the box where it is placed. I reached for the glass of water then drink it and get ready to sleep.

To my tiredness, the moment I closed my eyes, I slept quickly. I usually daydream first for me to sleep as quickly as possible.

I have a dream but it is so messy. So messy that it made me feel uncomfortable sleeping. While having a dream, I can still hear the noise in my surrounding. I heard the door opening slowly. I was curious about who opened the door but I can't open my eyes.

"Is it Xhanya? Is she going to kill me for real this time?!" I asked myself. Then I started to sweat and tremble in my sleep. That made me wake up and opened my eyes.

"Don't kill me!" I shouted as I get up from lying down. Then I saw Yuho in tears.

He quickly wipes his tears and said in a joking manner " I will not kill you Princess. You must be having a nightmare."

I was still trembling and my heart beats faster than average.

"Yuho." I said softly.

"Yuho, why are you crying?" I added.

"Crying? No I am not." He denied as he looked away from me.

Yuho was sitting in front of me since I woke up.

"No, I saw you crying don't you deny it."

"No, I am not." He insisted.

"Princess, I heard you have been having lots of headaches lately. I am really worried about your health." He stated.

"Yeah, but I'm good. I'm all good."

"Are you sure? Maybe this headache is caused by stress. You are stressed about the marriage, are you? We can postpone it if you wanted to."

"No, it is not about that." I said.

"Then what is it that you are worrying and having headaches about?" He curiously asked.

"I think my memories are coming back. I am having these flashes of memories." I told Yuho while looking at him seriously.

"Really? They are coming back?" He said excitedly.

"Yes, so you need to fill in the gaps. Tell me more about myself and answer my questions no matter how many they are. Be honest whenever you are answering them." Then I smiled at him.

"Of course! I am all at your service." He said.

"Princess, I am so sorry that I am not there always by your side. But I promise I'll come here more often and tell you stories to help your memories come back." He said as he smiled and hug me.

"You promised?" I asked and he looked me in the eye and responded "Yes."

"Then, let us do the pinky swear!" I told him

"Pinky swear?" He curiously asked, "What is that?"

"Like this!" I told him while demonstrating to him how it is done. I stretch my pinky finger and shut the other fingers down.

"Like this?" As he imitates what I am doing.

"Yes. Just like that!" I smiled.

"Then let us bind them together!"

He then copied me and we have done the pinky swear.

"Then, your promise is already sealed! Come here more often and tell me stories about myself and! ALWAYS ANSWER MY QUESTIONS." I looked at him and laughed.

He just looked me in the eyes and pat my head. And smiled.

"Okay, then!" He proudly stated.

"I am a man who holds my words!" He added

We both laughed. He helped me drink my medicines on time and talked about the weather before leaving and going back to his palace. It was a wonderful day.
