Moving On

The following day, Thetis awoke to Theoric's naked group on top of her having some morning fun. Taking part in some, while contemplating her life choices and how she got here. She paid special close attention to Selene, recalling how she took advantage of her vulnerable state to feed on her.

Once everyone was dressed Thetis walked over to address the issue,- "Is it fine to travel with one such as her?"

Selene rolled her eyes waiting to see what Theoric would say.

Theoric grinned- "I don't think anything I do is wise by any stretch of the imagination, I simply do what I can, the best I can, and not worry about the rest."

Thetis- "Not exactly the answer I was looking for, but I find it strangely comforting hearing you say that. Now remember you need to stay just in the middle with no deviation when you're passing Scylla and Charybdis, they are incredibly hard to kill otherwise. It's best just to avoid them, but in the worst case you should just fly away, they've both had their lives chained there on either side to guard the sea of monsters, so they are unkillable without finding where it's hidden and destroying it, under no circumstances should you free them though, they will go on a killing spree to try and sate their never-ending hunger... And be warned the sea of monsters is not a normal place, it's a twisted reality of the mortal realm and the divine realm, you may have and see many strange things and experiences, it's also where Zeus put those he banished."

Nina- "Speaking of, we need a new boat now."

Selene- "Not an issue, I believe there are still plenty of boats nearby that we can commandeer."

Meanwhile, Sigyn ignoring all the details as perusal, letting Theo take care of everything, was on her knees playing with Grani again, lifting his little green arms and dancing with him while giggling with Lydia by her side watching.

After discussing a few more details they headed out.

Thetis held Theoric back to say her goodbyes,- "I know this whole deal thing is a bit of a sour note, but I want you to know that I'm not selling myself to you because I have to, I'm doing it because I see a future with you... I mean a happy future," she quickly corrected herself realizing how it still sounded.

His stoic expression however left her feeling uncomfortable and wrong.

Theoric- "I honestly don't know how I feel about this, we'll have to see where the future takes us, but I will save your son, as for other things..." He just left it open-ended not bothering to elaborate.

Feeling deflated, Thetis grabbed his arm one last time before he could leave, knowing that when she let go she could be losing something very important and it scared her- "Um, one last thing before you go, I know sooner or later you'll clash with Olympus, remember how I was telling you about faith, well there is a collection of faith that isn't meant for any 1 god, that faith is bottled and kept by Zeus to keep or distribute as he pleases. It's a highly powerful drink that will kill anyone not ready for a god's power, called ambrosia, a highly concentrated form of divine power in liquid form, something you may need one day to fight them."

"Thanks, I'll keep it in mind, goodbye Thetis, until we meet again," he said pecking her cheek before slipping out of her arms.

Holding her cheek, Thetis watched his back fade away into the horizon,- "Goodbye Theo, I hope one day we do meet again," she whispered.

They were able to find a boat about the same as their last, throwing the sailors overboard as they took over, sailing for the sea of monsters.

Theoric found Selene to ask more about the weapon that took a chunk out of the Bronze Eagleman.

Selene instinctively ran her fingers through her hair remembering that scary weapon,- "It was probably one of Zeus's gift to the kid, I got the feeling that whoever or whatever I aimed at would get hit no matter what, in fact, the little bastard threw it at my head, and no matter how fast I moved or went, it came straight for me, blowing it right off. Took me by surprise to tell you the truth, it wasn't a good feeling, but luckily it takes more than that to kill me... You should know I stopped him from throwing it at Sigyn."

Theoric brows furrowed before his eyes widened at the mention of Sigyn, a shiver went through his spine thinking about how he left her believing she would be fine and that she could call if anything happens. How big of a fool he was, he should have been aware of the possibility of things like this, of items like that, of potential abilities that could ruin his life before he even knew what happened. He was still too weak, far too weak, he needed to get stronger, he needed to break this damn bottleneck on his body, luckily he could still train his power further. Things were becoming way more complicated than he ever imagined, his whole plan at first was to get the stones, but now things are very different and the stones are so far away.

Suddenly there was a strong shake as the ship was struck by something unknown.

Nina came running,- "What was that?"

Selene- "I sense sentient life around us."

Theoric seeing Sigyn run over, hugged her, still thinking about how something terrible could have happened, and how he could never thank Selene enough for what she did in saving her.

Sigyn startled by the strange show of affection considering what happened just accepted with a smile,- "Hm, what do I owe this to? You know something is happening right? Theo?"

Theoric didn't say anything as he gave a look of gratitude to Selene who gave a nod in acknowledgment.

Lydia- "So, um, are we going to talk about what's going on?" She asked not understanding what was going on as another hit shook the boat.

Theoric gave Sigyn a kiss, leaving her happy and confused, before getting back on track,- "Let's go check it out, Selene can you tell what or who they are?"

Selene- "Not yet, but we'll see them soon, they're boarding us."
