Gigantus

Journeying forth without Selene, they put it behind them as Theoric looked ahead, keeping his eyes on the prize, get the golden fleece and save Anna and Io. The latter though would still be a problem in the long run though, but at least Nina and even Sigyn were diligently practicing and gaining better control over their powers.

Late evening on one particular day when the clouds darkened and a storm erupted with the wind howling and the rain pouring. Theoric surrounded the ship in a barrier to keep them dry as the boat rocked back and forth.

Looking out at the horizon he spotted what seemed like an island in the distance only to see the silhouette of a giant turn its head towards them as it began walking to them.

Furrowing his brows he cursed himself,- "Fuck me sideways, I should really just start flying everywhere, what the hell am I even doing?"

"Theo? What's wrong?" Asked Sigyn hearing him curse.

Theoric grumbled- "Just the same old shit dear, brace yourselves for another sea beast." he said pointing to the growing shadow following them.

The girl's eyes widened as it grew closer with each step.

Sigyn tugged at Theoric's arm as he concentrated on moving the ship forward,- "Um, Theo, I think we should run."

Surprised to hear her say run, he took a peek behind, eyes opening up at the full height of the gigantic monster following them. He knew it was big, but seeing it from afar did it little justice as it came into view. Judging based on what he could see, not counting what was submerged, he determined it had to be around 500 feet tall.

"Well that's just great, it'll probably take me weeks to kill something that big," he said thinking about how he would even go about it. This was nothing like the whale monster or Grani, this creature made them look insignificant in comparison.

Agreeing with Sigyn, he willed the boat to move faster, thinking of an idea to get rid of the thing as he pushed on.

Lydia let out an ear-piercing scream when she saw a giant hand reach out, making the others wince in pain as the enclosed space amplified her voice.

"Dammit Lydia, nows not the time to be screaming!" He yelled throwing an energy gag around her mouth while at the same time narrowly avoiding the giant orange fish scaled, three webbed fingered hand as it crashed into the water, and the subsequent pull of the water as it dragged everything around down with it.

Using the following splash wave to his advantage to create some distance between them and the enormous orange Fishman monster.

Nina asked,- "Should I try and turn it to stone?"

Glancing back, he told her,- "Don't bother, between the darkness, shield, and rain, not to mention how far its face is, I doubt it can even see you, besides I don't even think you could turn something that big with the way you are now, don't worry though I have an idea, we're almost there."

Trusting him they calmed themselves best they could while staring at the ever-approaching monster.

Seeing another strike incoming, Sigyn yelled- "Theo!" Warning him.

Pushing his control to the limit, he pushed the ship just past the edge, but still got clipped in the end on the way out as it tore through the backside of the ship, pulling it under as it was sucked along by the force into the emptying abyss right before the oceans water swallowed everything back up again, destroying what was left.

Theoric and the girls watched from above as he picked them up last second and flew off, he knew there was no coming back from that as he watched the power of the creature take a chunk out of the sea before it filled back up.

Lifting his head, he noticed the giant fish eyes of the creature focusing entirely on him as it pulled its hand back,- "Shit, let's get out of here girls, I think I can see the border of the sea of monsters ahead, we'll let them take care of it," he said flying towards the expansive rocky barrier with the great bit orange monstrosity right behind.

Nina floating behind took the chance to try and use her eyes on it but was filled with too much fear and couldn't bring it out.

Lydia wanted to scream at it but was still gagged and Sigyn held Grani tightly who wanted to be let loose to attack, foolishly thinking it could take it.

Ignoring the screams and complaints of his passengers, he quickly pulled them along, flying as fast as he could to the narrow straight coming into view, the only entrance he could see for miles.

Reaching the border, he wasted no time in flying straight through, avoiding the guardians entirely, unlike the gigantic Fishman who walked straight into the waiting maw of Charydbis who for the first time moved something other than its mouth as it shot out and clamped down on the mammoth leg.

The giant sea worm with a mouth width of around 75 feet in diameter, chomped straight down into the thigh trying to take a bite out of him. The lazy worm who usually only ever sucked in water to get small morsels was not willing to let such a big meal go.

For the first time, the colossal Fishman let out an angry roar as it felt pain for the first time since being awoken.

Hearing the roar, Theoric felt safe enough to turn around and watch the show, wishing to see how this would play out and whether or not he should end things if the opportunity presented itself.

The much bigger Fishman looked down at the wiggly thing trying to dig down deep enough to rend flesh off, reached back with its hand intending to swat it off with full force only for its hand to drift too close to the nearby cave as Scylla, the six-headed hydra snapped on, wishing to partake in the once in a lifetime feast, further enraging the surprised Fishman.

It easily pulled the hydra out of its cave and into the water as it grabbed the worm with its left hand, ripping it off the leg and tossing back against the cliff face where it hit with a loud thud sending boulders tumbling down on top of it before turning its attention to the hydra.

Slicing off a couple of heads with its left claw, the hydra let go with roars of protest as it avoided further damage.

The worm however was back as it slammed into the Fishman from the side, taking another bite in the back of the calf underwater.

Irritated, the Fishman reached for it only to have its backside once again attacked by the hydra as it tried to further damage him with its remaining 3 heads after another head fell from biting into the poison fins that lined the back of his arms.

Theoric watched as the gigantic Fishman grappled with the two in a disorderly fashion,- "It seems slightly inept like Grani was at first. I think it's another one of those experiments, though I must say if it is, it's truly shocking that they can create so many varieties of giant monsters like this," he said receiving a glare from Grani.

"It's best we leave, it's clearly not even bothered by the two and will likely dispatch them shortly," he said turning around and flying away, leaving the monsters to fight amongst themselves.

And as predicted, the Fishman soon tore through the two, shredding them into pieces before looking out to see his prey has long escaped.

A telepathic thought soon cut through,- 'That's enough, get back here before the Olympians show up,' Taras ordered seeing Theoric long gone, he knew what this place was and was well aware they would becoming now to check things out after their guardians were killed so ruthlessly. He also now knew exactly what he needed to do to see things through. The next time he released Gigantus would be the last time.
